Town System and Ring of Summon Control

Jude1004.com reports (http://lineage.jude1004.com/news/index.asp?pg=/news/view.asp&cts_id=4831) on two of the new items on Korean Test Server.

First, they summarize the important landmarks when considering a house in Aden's slum district:

Close location to cheap potion sales.
Close location to Aden Sewer.

Also of interest:

Closest storage dwarf:
Auction board to check on house prices.

Also, Ring of Summon Control has been found (no, they don't say from what) and the monsters are divided by the level of the mage:

Level 28+: Werewolf or Bear
Level 32+: Lizardman or Lycanthrope
Level 36+: Ratman or Giant Soldier Ant
Level 40+: Bugbear or Minotaur
Level 44+: Skeleton Guard or Skeleton Fighter
Level 48+: King Bugbear or Gargoyle
Level 52+: Ettin or Dire Wolf

So this ring only allows you to choose from the two summons. Just asking, I can live with the choices it provides. The dire wolf would be too cool...too bad my mage is only lv 20. Maybe by the time of this comes to the US servers my mage can be lv um...21 ?!?!? Hell I'm a knight.

I have the same question as #5: you only get the choice of the two depending on your level? It is not very clear as to the capabilities of this ring. If it was true summon control, you would be able to summon any monster from a list that is accessible at your level AND below.

Yeah, that's kinda lame that you only get two for each level bracket...I would choose to summon GSAs over most of the mops on that list. They hurt, and have a range of two...not to mention the fact that they're nearly impossible to tame. o.~

The biggest downside is that they have only 165 ish HP...

You people... are idiots. The ring lets you summon something better then you should be summoning. Skeleton fight > skeleton guard. Gsa > ratman.
It is a good ring.

erm, #17, I am sure there is a reason they give u a choice between a Skeleton Fighter and the Guards (probably due to range and speed). Otherwise, there would be no point in having a choice. Depedning on your situation, you might choose one over the other.

They all nerfed... Don't think ur summoned GSA will hurt like a GSA, it wont, just like ur summoned KBB dont hurt like one KBB and ur 2 Ettins can be killed by one true Ettin.

The reason some of us might have thought you can only choose between 2 summons at a given level is because there are 4 levels between each level of summoning. Thus the + after the lvl number could have been interpreted as you can summon those specific monsters from say 28-31. Not to mention, why on earth would you summon Werewolves ever again when you reach level 44? If I was a level 52 mage, I am pretty sure I would not waste time having bears hunting with me.

Now the mixing and matching option is a nice idea but, again, one wouldn't mix-&-match a summon of 3 with an Ettin, Dire Wolf and say... a Ratman.

You have 13 posts Tamashii. You know Carol, they could just balance it out and make it so you summon normal BBs at Level 48, instead of weakened KBBs. Would you like that? I think a nice change might be to let Mages summon better monsters, but then all monsters become agressive to summons.

I wonder when we'll get normal Minotaurs in the game anyways. Same goes for Gargoyles and Seahorses (gasp!). Is the Bandit Boss or the Greater Minotaur in the game right now?

I think the ring will allow you to actually control the summons so that you can collect from them without dismissing them much like u can w/ dogs. My guess...

amer, i think youre wrong. Id say you would summon something lesser if say you wanted to gain levels. That way those lesser mops wouldnt steal as much exp.

Did it ever occur to anyone that summoned mops do not equal thier counterparts, I would assume all the summoned mops will equal the other that you could summon, maybe slight difference, like Skel Gaurd and Skel Fighter will hit just has hard as one another but then you get to choose speed or ranged attack. That is how i think it will be

Um... who the hell said that an ettin could take on two summoned ones? I'm not going to bother scrolling up to check, but it's NOT TRUE. Hell, two summoned kbb or maybe even skel guards could take on an ettin. This is assuming, of course, that no one is healing the mop...

if you were hunting ifrit you arent leveling, so yea you'd want the strongest you have. If you wanted to gain more lvls but not necessarily solo then you'd use weaker summon to get more exp out of the hunt...
