Ken Spotlight: Chany |
Hailing from the infamous pledge BOSS, Chany, a CON knight reached level 50 in the wee hours of the morning on April 8th. He first learned about Lineage when his friend Ramen introduced it to him about two years ago. Chany has mostly played Ken Server but briefly went to test after blowing all his ac last year. Among the things that violently evaporated were a +8bkat and +6pg. He was kind enough to give his ROTC and +7ts to a friend before he left, sparing the T-shirt a violently glowing death.
It is no secret that Chany and my elf ARlELLE are an item in the game. I finally got around to interviewing him, which was a little difficult because Cobra showed up to make sure there was no hanky panky going on. ^_~ Chany and I spend a lot of time hunting together so I got a firsthand look at how tough it can be to go from level 49-50. Chany is a con knight that was made sometime in January 2003. He took about two months to get to level 49 and a little over a month to go from 49-50. He mainly hunted Fire Valley with a few stints in DVC 6f and FI. As far as the equipment and weapon he uses, he prefers to keep that information to himself… all I will say is that it is very, very good. ^.^* I asked him how many hours a day he plays but, we couldn’t figure it out. We both play a lot and one hour just melts into the next so I’ll just guesstimate that he plays about 6-8 hours. -.-;; There were a total of about seven deaths during level 49. Two of the deaths I recall were due to us being complete babos. When Aden first came out, after running around taking in all the sights, Chany wanted to show me Lindivor… so off we ran… and ran and ran and ran… -.- After about half an hour of running to find the blasted dragon, we get there only for some idiot to hit the dragon and all I heard was a resounding chorus of deaths. I was lucky to escape but Chany died. T.T
The other memorable death, (memorable because I was there and I too died) was right after my elf hit level 49. We were so excited, so off we go on the boat to Forgotten Island. Everything was going great until a few too many mops showed up and I panicked. I ran like an idiot and only succeeded in attracting more mops. I really just wanted to drag them away from him but they got us both. We were completely depressed. (COBRA: I TOLD THOSE BABOS!!!) We can look back and laugh now but I can’t think of anything more mentally taxing than spending a whole day leveling, only to lose it all in one death. However, all that is forgotten once the coveted level is reached. The morning Chany leveled, we were both up for entirely too many hours. We were hunting Fire Valley together and I kept asking him what % he was at. Finally I ran out of supplies and tele’d back to the castle to restock. I was about to go back out and he messaged me to sit tight. It felt like forever when he finally came to the castle in Baphomet morph.. luckily I had prepared and had a whole stack of fireworks to celebrate his achievement. Too bad the rest of the pledge wasn’t there (lazy ppl sleeping at 4am! \,./). We did however, run off to the Giran siege and had a great time picking on the goat.
Chany says that the thing he likes best about Lineage is all the friends he has made and his babo elven girlfriend ARlELLE (COBRA: -,.-). He dislikes his enemies, people who scam others and people who lie about drops when they agree to share at a boss hunt. One of his complaints about NC Austin is the fact that they allow some bosses that can be ended 1:1 to remain in the game. He mentioned that in the Korean servers, if someone figures out how to end a boss 1:1, the boss is taken out of the game and beefed up to allow everyone a chance to end it. He would like to see Beleth spawned more often and Orange pot prices to drop down. Chany wishes to thank ARlELLE (me ^.^;), COBRA, RPM9000, ZSHYnSHYZ the rest of the BOSS pledge, SHAMA pledge and any mage and elf that healed or e-skinned him while out hunting. He would also like to wish everyone good luck leveling and his only advice is to not give up! |
