Test Server Extended Outage

The test server is going to be down for an extended period of time, until tomorrow. It's not something we want to happen, but we need to get a few things corrected and properly done. We also want to do it right, so we need to work through this.

I apologize for the delay, but it is necessary.

I'm sorry we did not tell the players sooner. We did not know this would be necessary until just a couple of minutes before I announced that it would be down all night.

This long of a down time should not be necessary in the future.

After a good 3 hours of waiting to start my new char on test. i refesh the lineage.com. and see a new news post called lineage test annoucement or something like that. i click on it hoping it says it will be up at 6 pm but unstead get this

"The US Test Server will remain offline until Thursday, June 13th. Additional information on Test Server, including details on new test server content, will be posted to the News section on Thursday. "

Yeah thats nice. lets make everyone wait for 2 hours over what we first said and then tell them no test at all for another day. That is very very dirty NC. very very dirty.

My best guess is the person that updates the site has lost all fingers but his left thumb, works in an upside down room so he takes breaks every 4 minutes to let the blood reach his legs again, and is just a plain and simple moron! Honestly, how long could i take to realize that , hey i think we'll take the server down for a day instead of an hour ... sheesh!

lol yeah wait til tomorrow then we'll have to wait for another day for that damn NC to put test back up. Pretty good they want us to follow all the user agrements but yet they cant do their own damn job and put a server back up when it's suppose to be up.. Man if we had to work as hard as NC we would all be free loading bums on the street begging for anything we could get..

i know what u mean dude! this is complete cowchips! im tired of nc blowing us all off it was the same when DII came out... we waited like 2 years PAST the original release date for that game (i know i know DII suxx ^^)
im starting to wonder if i should go back to UO so i can actually have some FUN!
i also hate walking around as if i have a load in my pants... NC CREATE HORSES OR SOMETHING! i mean what were these people thinking.... if weight matters for mana and regeneration then why doesnt it matter for walking or hitting speed?

I feel your pain! I am beginning to withdraw myself...I mean I blew all my weapons and ac on monday night so all day on tuesday i was completely wiggin! Now, we cant even get on the server. *t~w~i~t~c~h* It is going to be a rough night filled with cold sweats and shakes *t~w~i~t~c~h*

Asianwarrior, Test is only going to get wiped when there is a big bug... or when someone gets to 50 (Forged) or someone has so many items that they fill up
both elven and reg. storages (BraveHeart)...

Ok, let me be the devil's advocate...

Point one: The TEST server is... well, a TEST server, so if they need to put it down for a day or two, they shouldn't get burned in hell, they're doing their job.
Point two: If you reaaaaaally need to play lineage, start a char on dep, not the same, but you'll be able to survive withdrawal, and you can pk to ease off the pain ;).
Point three: Stop whining and go ther to their offices to try and help them to rebuild the server from scratch, because that is what happened to the test server... well, if that's not what happened, i don't know what could take for so long to restore a server, but I am no TI at NC, so I can't judge if they are lazy or not ;)

Eaaaasy boy eaaaasy, take this pill and you'll wake up tomorrow by this time, ready to start your new char in test server again.

Test server is just that, a test server. Thank you captin obvious. Now, how do you test things for a live server when all your players are low level. How do you test how something will effect level 50+ players when all your players are 10+? You cant. How can they expect people to level to high levels when they said they are going to wipe it constantly? Oh I forgot, vets have already paid thier 15$, or in most cases, paid months in advance (nonrefundable woo) so they dont matter... god im full of hate this week ^_^

Yeah if you play an unhealthy amount o_o,and I understand that. You could probly get 40+ in a week, but not if you stick around in the newbie areas, which is what they want you to test out. Which I guess is what I should of said in my first post...

I got a mage to lvl 49 and a knight to lvl 44 and Im not gonna give u some crap about how I did it in like 3-4 months as that would be nothing to be proud of, it took me over a year. Thats how long a person playing a healthy amount takes to get that high and Im amazed how someone could spend 8-10 hours a day playing a computer games... don't they have family/friends/job/school/life? When I asked people who played huge amounts of time, they became very offended and defensive about it. Anyways, about test being down for an extra day... OMFG IM GONNA DIE!!!
