New Morphs

Many people have been curious about the newest modifications to the scroll of shape change: the introduction of the Orc Scout and the upgrade of the Lycanthrope.

The Lycanthrope is pretty much an upgraded skeleton. It appears to be targetted at mages. A hasted lycanthrope can walk and swing sword at the same speed as a hasted skeleton. However, it casts magic 10% faster. One could consider it a cross between the popular Rova Orc morph (fast magic) and the skeleton morph (fast swing). [update]: FlyZ pointed out that lycanthrope and orc fighter are the same in armor and speed. So, all the above points have been true about orc fighter for some time. :)

The Orc Scout seems to be the answer to the concern that elves could not benefit from the "invisibility" of morphing. Until Orc Scout, if an elf did morph, they had to sacrifice both AC and speed, which is quite unreasonable.
Correction: (Man, I really screwed up these tests - I'll do magic tests over again as well). After a retest as suggested by theperv on the lineage.com forums, we have to change our statements about the elves bow speed a little. In fact, there is no difference between a hasted elf bow speed and a hasted orc scout. Thanks, theperv. ^^

Heh Amer is back already news pretty fast i thought that orc scout shoot faster
but is still very good actually hunt in fv now w/o getting hit by all mops and good for mages too.I got a cursed 2hs today at orc siege never knew them nerugaorc droped them.^^

Weird.... U say lyc is 10% faster in magic casting. I chose orc fighter in the list with haste and looked at lyc. It says 0% in hasted e-bolt and i see -8% in skeleton in the same category.
The way I see it is lyc is an alternative to orc fighter since they pretty much have the same stat. Orc fighter looks chunkier tho o.O

o.o they should really just make orc scout available to elves...any con knight can pick up a bow and kill a 5+ level higher con elf with over 100 hp left. I thought elves were suppose to be bow masters >< how come knights could just shoot as fast and can easily win a bow duel against an elf?><

#17 somethings screwed with lin lately...yesterday everyone got a lag spike and then my hotkeys didnt work and when i hit the number 1 my f5 hotkey went off...also i have to logg in 2 times for it to work, the first time just says error...oh and #10 wafered hasted elf is fastest with bow other than DE

#19..Pentel, it has nothing to do with the morph. A dex elf can do more damage with bow than a con knight. If both were to duel with bow, the elf would probably win. (plus knights can't use yumi)

lol...yes a dex elf could do more damage with bow than a con knight...but a 48 dex elf has a maximum hp of 300 while a 48 con knight has 600...hmm o.O? even if the elf had 26dex +9yumi, he cant beat the knight with 12dex +5xbow...

Fishtik, don't you know anything about the knights' lvl bonuses? They get a +hit and +damage with all weapons higher than any other class. Also, they have a higher ER.

lvl 45 con knight on haste, brave, orc scout morph, +6xbow, and any select HOMs will OWN any lvl 45 dex elf on haste, wafer, +6Yumi, and full enchants.

The Yumi isn't a huge advantage from xbow. In fact, I know many elves who use xbow as apposed to Yumi, for the +hit. Knights move faster, meaning stun-lock and causing more dmg since they attack faster. And higher knight ER = no stunlock for knight.

ALSO, let's not forget the damn Soft-AC for non-knights. -.-

#26 #27 LineageKhan was in DE morph and was beaten by elf in Orc Scout morph. Ask him, there were lots of witnesses. Knight has lower hit power no pots were used. Hit bonus seems to be for blade weapons only.

i still havnt got the chance to waste 1 of my wafers while morphed...is it equal to knight brave when in sosc? if not it would be a huge waste and they should change it...im sure that DK elf is pissed if he swinging like 40% slower then a dk knight

btw ummm pentel, i think ur off on the dex elf hp O.o my dex elf has 4xxhp...

The more dex u have, the better damage on ranged weapons, and that has been for long. So dex elf should have some chance of beating a con knight in bow duel. (I tried sword duel against YubGiChaRyuk when he was level 50, he had 120hp left, when i died... So dex elf not totally useless in duels)

lvl 48 con 600 + hp Dex spell + dex ammy + bracer + hp belt = more than 18 dex along with an extra bit of hp. so knight can get just as much dex as elf

The people who are talking about knight beat dex dont know what they are talking about. First of all you dont pit con knight against dex elf. Con KNIGHT vs str KNIGHT, con wins, that's if you dont use pots. If pots are allowed the str wins. Second, dex elf has 300 hp when they hit around lvl 40 not 48, and 600hp for a lvl 48 con knight is slightly above average.
Still pit a dex wind elf vs str knight with bows, full enchants and braves and wafers. I bet dex elf wins.
Str knight has 12[base]+1[ammy]+5[spell]=18dex.
Str knight lvl 48[10hp/lvl]+belt=530 average.
dex elf 18[base]+1[boe]+5[spell]=24. Ammy wont do any good since 25 is odd #.
Dex elf at lvl 48[8hp/lvl]+orc ammy+belt = about 450hp average.
Heck lvl50 con knight vs lvl50 con fire elf with sword, elf wins. Dont forget people at lvl 48 elves get bless weapon, that's +2 hit +2 damage which about makes up for the 5 str difference between con knight and elf. It's just that wafers are so hard to get compared to braves.....

u also forget that i can make my con knight have as much if not more str than a str knight and have as much dex as a dex elf if not slightly more. you also forget about elf's nerfed ac and you forget about the fact that knights get more + to hi than elfs do. and dont say str will beat con knight in a pot duel because 90% im running around with str enchant on my con knight as wel as a +p-g now if u want to do something like con vrs con it depends on who the better player is or who has the better items

twist your wrong about con knight vs str knight.. they both carry same amount becuz carrying weight is based on con+str. so 18con+16str=34, 20 str+ 14 con= 34. soooo they both carry the same amount -.-;; and if u still dun believe make a lvl 1 con and str knight u'll see they carry exactly 220 meat b4 they cannot swing anymore

i -finally- got my ep 11 cd in the mail =p but i found sum weird stuff like it says elfs only learn up to lvl 5 magic (normal magic, not elven, it says every 8 lvl) o.O and there is a picture of a lvl 53 dex elf who chose no bonus points and has 150hp/73mp O.o but this was prob brought up with the post a while back with the topic =p

First of all, I hear lineagekhan isn't exactly the strongest lvl 52 knight..

Also, isn't he str knight? If so, remember, str doesn't affect bows. So of course he'd lose - but not easily.

And you (that person) also failed to mention the +hit and +dmg knights get at lvl up. Stated in the HoC chat, knights are supposed to be the best at melee. So why do they get a +hit and +dmg with every weapon, even bows?

For the con knight vs str knight, I know they can hold the same amount of pots, but since str knight can hit for slightly more the 200 or so hp wont make that much of a difference for the con knight if they were both full orange packed. As for all my references I meant all same or relatively equal ac and weap, not some +0dagger vs +9tsu.
On the elf vs knight thing I dunno. If knights get +hit and +dmg to all weapon the you all can slap me down for being a dumb ass. If not then I have only one thing to say. #Oh wee want the funk, gotta have that funk. *move eyes to # and repeat*

#46 He's a Con Knight. LineageKHAN is the greatest. And don't get me wrong, so is anyone over Level 50.

Can we stop all the Knights are better than Elves/Mages crap? Knights are better fighters than Elves. Knights are better fighters than Mages. Knights are better fighters than Prince/ss. Accept it.

I think NC should make some sort of requirement for all morphs. On top of that, they should fix what items you can wear on what morphs.

how many knights do really see walking aroun using a bow as their main wepon i mean come on. 90% of any smart knight will still use a sword and sheild as its more ac. the only knights ive ever seen use a bow are low lvl nobbish knights or knights that are hunting with dogs and cant afford to many pots. now what the heck is wrong with them being good with a bow. i wouldn't care if a mage could melee as good as a knight i mean it helps them out. i enjoy people getting richer.

Pental is not u i swar its NC in general they piss me offf a lot my title in game is usually Fuck U NC! or Fuck U! if i leave pledge for a reason why cant NC do this iam ok that knights recieve less dmg but instead of DOing how it is now:Knight recieve same dmg as before elf/mage/prince recieve more dmg

i would change to Elf/mage/prince recieve same dmg as before but knights recieve
less dmg that why stupid NC is happy and so are the knights and nonknight.I dont care how strong they make knights but i dont want them fucking Elves
or prince/mage for the matter............

I would actually love if another company took the position.

There is no reason to play an elf anymore because of Orc Scout morph. The first day of the release of the Orc Scout , I did alot of testing , its perfect for Non-PVP/Ken , allowing Elves to hunt everywhere.

But on Test , or Dep , the Orc Scout makes an elf useless. Also the improvements to Skeleton Axeman , make seige impossible since knights can run down and stunlock any non knight.

Also on bows knights do 10 points less damage but stun lock more often. As well they have the HP to stand in the pocket. NCsoft-US and NCsoft-Korea said the answer is Cancel Magic......

The news letter from Korea , and the forth coming changes , are making playing any other class pointless.

Doomscythe it is enabled on Dep and Test , not sure about Ken though. You just need the right files. priston tale is pretty good , I play it a bit , its free Open Beta , 1 server , always full.
