5/22 - Update to Live Korean Servers
NC announces (https://bbs.lineage.co.kr/lineage/new_announcement/update/read.asp?ListNum=112&PageNum=1) that the following updates are being published to the live Korean servers on 5/22:
  1. Newbie town has new dungeons. [More info]
  2. Greater Haste book now drops from certain monsters. Greater Haste lasts 30 minutes, but can only be cast on yourself.
  3. Mana potions added as a drop from monsters. Mana potions will accelerate your mana regeneration for 10 minutes, based on your WIS.
  4. Summon and tame have been changed to limit to CHA/6 monsters. However, mage and prince classes get a +1 bonus and elf class gets a +2 bonus. So, a CHA 12 mage would be able to summon/tame a maximum of 3 monsters. A CHA 11 elf would be able to also tame up to 3 monsters.

    In addition, the monsters that can be summoned have changed:
    Level 28: Werewolf (no change)
    Level 32: Skeleton -> Lizardman
    Level 36: Spartoi -> Ratman
    Level 40: Bugbear (no change)
    Level 44: Bugbear -> Skeleton Guard
    Level 48: Bugbear -> King Bugbear
    Level 52: Bugbear -> Ettin

  5. Heine housing is available for purchase.
  6. You can now find dragon scales rarely lying around the dragon's lair. (You don't need to kill the dragon to get them).

That means if you are really lucky, while wandering around Fafurion's Lair, you might see a dragon scale lying on the ground. You risk death though if Fafurion sees you.

Will Wis pots work for all classes? Would cut down on inn times, and you'll see some elves/mages getting to 50 as well..
And the new summon structure would be awesome as well..

Dragon scales will still be hard to find down there I'm sure. Try running from Anth and killing those slimes that will undoubtely eat the scales as they are dropped.

From a game balance perspective,
NCSoft screwed up again.
They should have made the Mana potion
favor high INT players, not WIS.

Since high INT players depend almost
entirely on their MP to thrive, they
more than any other magic type needed
the Mana potion benefit.

To give any High WIS player a Mana potion
puts INT players back on the bottom of the
pile under most of the CON/WIS mages out there.

CON/WIS already have a huge HP regen and capacity benefit,
to give them a Mana potion benefit as well, over their
INT/WIS cousins was a really stupid idea NCSoft did here.

Well, i see no bad thing in making it wis dependant, mp regen IS wis dependant after all. Int mages get the bonus damage, and wis mages get the mp regen bonus.
After all this time, it is said a "pure" mage should be INT 18 WIS 18, have shitty hp, but huge mp, and power to hurt with it, so a pure mage should have no problem with mana pots. I did chose CON/WIS 18, so i have less magic damage with spells... well, ot is my choice, so it was their choice to all the other mages that did chose to have int and not wis.

Anyways, what makes me worry is the summon thing. I still think that it rewards thoose cha mages and punishes the normal mages that did chose not to pump up their cha. After all, they'll have one more summon than me anyways. I'd rather have a system that enabled me to select from a list of mops and depending of the mop, a max number of mops could be controlled (wouldn't it be cool to wander around with a pair of ogres hasted by your side? :) )

BTW, tame monster should work without the need to hit the monster to dead, it would make it a little bit more useful.
Just my 0.02 euros (heheheh)

THATS SOOOOOO SWEET! i cant beleive the Koreans FINALLY made a move on this almost impossible item..... to get a scale of dragon AFTER killing it is impossible unless under PURE lucky circumstances and then u might have to split with your 50 other comrades....
