Ring of Summon Control
Lineage Playforum reports (http://community.playforum.net:8080/bbs/prog/column?action=read&iid=10051003&kid=1910) that one of the first Ring of Summon Control has been dropped on the Korean server. And now, the answer you've been waiting for... Lesser Dragon, 5f.

The mage who has the ring happens to be a level 52 mage, so he had the opportunity to play with the Dire Wolf summon.

Dire Wolves (as you can see) are quite strong. Level 40, 600 HP. (On a side note, Gargolyes, the level 48 new summon, are also pretty strong, level 35, 550 HP).

First test that was done was 1 Dire Wolf vs. 2 King Bugbears. The Dire Wolf handily killed both King Bugbears with 300+ HP to spare. Ouch!

Next up, Dire Wolf vs. Greater Water Elemental (the new elven level 50 summon). First some information on the Greater Water Elementals. They have 720 HP and are not faster than the Lesser Water Elemental, but are *much* stronger. We expect the other Greater Elementals to be similar (lots of HP, stronger, same speed/slower).

Regardless, the Dire Wolf beat the Greater Water Elemental with 68 HP to spare.

Another use for Dire Wolves (other than killing everything in sight) is setting up residence in Forgotten Island. The mage interviewed hunts in the Bugbear/King Bugbear area on Forgetten Island nonstop.

I got to hand it to the Elemental though, he took that HP on that DireWolf down a bit if you ask me so that speaks quite a bit for the elemental as well^^. AWESOME THOUGH!! I am glad I am still playing mage.

Why would neo play more? He doesnt use ettins... No mages serious about lving use summons, thats a tool to secondary mages, but those dont use money on their mages...

So i think its a stupid tool.

Carol when he first got ettins he was extremely disappointed that Ettins were much weaker than KBB so this would cheer him up to know that dire wolves are more powerful.

summon does 1/8 of damage on other ppl so NC nerfed mages with that!

I'm totally agree except for hunting FI non-stop, u can get money there on rare drops, and get good exp too ^^

Cha mages would love it, this mops can kill bosses easly. Imagine cha mage with 4 summoned direwolfs. Can kill drakes on FI like goblins. Caspa group are hard for mages but not for that ones with 4 dire wolfs, and what about going to TOI? 4 direwolfs (hasted) vs 1 or 2.. or versus lesser dragons.. maybe it's posible then to hunt there easly O_o

4 dire wolves wont matter when you die in 2 hits due to low hp.

Hope some nice knight will sell me "the precius" "MY PRECIUS!!" j/k

if there are lvl 48 cha mages why not 52 cha mages? if u get the ring at 48 u can go FI to lvl up, and with time u can get 52. Low hp.. --' bah.. only thing u need to do is search mops that dont hit u, or use pots.
