Antharas attempt

For the curious, here is a 5 minute video of FIRSTLOVE pledge on Dep server attempting to kill Antharas. They used many, many mages e-bolting him nonstop until he burrowed. Then he came back, and sent him back down again. The video ends with Antharas burrowed into the ground and the person who sent me this told me that they failed in the end.

the first time they sent him down it took longer time than the second time so i guess he didnt regen all his hp.maybe it countinues and after he burries 20 times he dies.

This is terrible i agree with ruben we should gather up all the 40+ good ac players and all head down to antharas and swamp him. Make it not about drops but to prove that he can actually not die. 500+ players should be able to kill him and if not its fair to says hes invincible

This is not right. First Valakas is taken out for an unknown reason. Then Fafurion. But they leave in Antharas. Why? Because no one can kill him!! if you don't want us to kill the dragons, just tell us. Next thing we know, killing dragon is a bannable offense! (and it seems they have been working on banning ppl lately). This may just be me ranting and raving again, but something here isn't right. NCI, don't ruin this game for us. This is a wonderful game. How are we supposed to make shield of eva/dragon armor without dragons to kill?!?!

Ha..... Anth is like a spar. You need huge final damage to kill it.
But anth will have at least a few hundred hp at the end and it's impossible to do that damage as the last hit and hence you can't really kill it unless it's lagging.

And #11. I agree with you. Why did they put the dragons in if they don't want them to be dead? Why not just make the dragon a statue and it never dies.

Let's arrange a server hunt, as suggested, and kill antharas. If an entire SERVER cannot kill antharas, NCSoft better start explaining. Someone set a date, and everyone 40+, lets go do something about this.

Doomscythe - have you seen the video? They're detecting ALL the time as soon as he goes down.
If NC doesn't want anyone to kill the dragon they should take it out and keep it out. Otherwise it's just a waste of resources, time and energy (especially for those that waste experience trying to kill it).

#12 - Sevenblade, all those mages got together and killed Valakas on the japanese server. When did a 1000 mages get together and kill Antharas?

He buried himself more than twice... we were down there more than 5 minutes. The video is just 5 minutes. The fight lasted way longer.

hi ..I am firstlove member and i was in the hunt too....this is our second time to hunt antharas ...this first time we went is few weeks ago.....and we made antharas hide like 8-9 times...but still hide unlimited time....so we give up ..and sec time we go again.....like 2 weeks ago....but this time we make antharas more fast to hide and antharas come back in short time only......but i think NC make the dragon hide before a low hp like 500hp or 1000hp then will hide ..
so if dun't want ppls kill that dragon ...just take out from sever ...like fafurion.......dun't put in this sever....

sevenblade, i wanna see you get 1000 mages on a US server. ;P

anyway, i still think my idea of having more than one GROUP OF PLAYERS to kill a dragon, like as soon as one great is considerable low on resources(mana, pots, velox) that another group waiting near by goes in and the other tele's home. but yet that problem in that is getting enough people to join in on it.

ruben: I saw that too. What I want to know is what country "h" is supposed to be. They have -e (english), -k (korean), -c (chinese), -j (japanese). Is -h the mainland China text vs. the HK/Taiwan text?

if you notice antharus's hiding ability is very unfair and it makes him unbeatable.. might as well go for valakas and cuz fafurion not in game... atleast you'll have a chance cuz he doesn't hides and recharges his hp....

hoho , i was in the Video
the reason why we fail this was all mages were out of mp, this was our second time with mostly mages, and Anth hides really fast and come out really fast thats why we dun have enough time to regen mp..
Our first try was different, that time we used mostly Knights and Anth didnt hide so fast but when he hide he has hide for more than 10mins o.o , our first try make him hide in Ground for about 10mins while the GM in hk said Anth only hide for 5 times after that he wont hide again "BullShit" ,
Secound try he only has hide 3 times , then we went back coz no mp >< ...

Antharus's dificulty or any dragon for that matter should be set in relation to the population on each server. The Korean servers have plenty of people for the job, while on the other hand the U.S. servers are dwarfed when the populations are compared. NC should take that into consideration, so we will not get raped in every single attempt.

Tueur: I added an MPEG converted form of the video. I chose DivX originally because (I thought) it was popular and it compresses *very* well (saving my ISP some bandwidth). However, I don't want to alienate anyone, so I added the somewhat larger MPEG version too. I hope that works for you (let me know if not).

For those of you who are still thinking in only the Windows world, the Divx codec for Macs is awful, and the video doesn't work even WITH the code installed.
