New Korean Test NPCs
Looks like the Korean Test servers are getting the new NPCs. If Episode 11 is Ice themed, then these are the Episode 11 NPCs. :)

The redesigned characters look good, now I'm curious what the new Elf and Prince(ss) will look like.

JOOC, does anyone know if they plan to do variations on the new designs for each type of armor/weapon... or is that not going to happen till Lineage II?

Supposedly, these redesigned NPCs have more weapons (mage gets smallsword and knight gets largesword and smallsword) and the actions (wave hand, bow, cheer, scratch head). But no different armors (yet).

Very nice, I can't wait until they finish all the Classes. I'm hoping they will look different depending on the Armor they can wear. (Light, Medium, Heavy, etc.) I still think they should spend some time making some of the Monsters look better. I'm sure they'll get to it.

A knight is supposed to be big, Since hes the strongest char in Lineage (Not best char, Strongest).. He must be big to be able of wearing so heavy armors as he can, Look at the old knight... Id say hes the one that looks weird. And dont just go by the picture, Think the knight as u saw him in game with sword and stuff :)...


[Edit:] Only thing missing on the chars is a shield, And with shield, They should add block animation, Everytime monster miss, U block, As now, They just swing weapon right tru u without anything happens.... Sword and Shield! That knight gonna be awesome

i hope these updates come sooner than i think they will. How long does is take to just copy, paste us some spells in us? i know what im talking about and its as easy as i think it is. they could just put all the updates into the us by the click of a mouse. this is why im mad at them.

Its not like US is linked with Korea, NC have to move the files first, And since its still on Test, I dont think they want to waste time on moving files when its not sure its gonna be in game for real. And if u think about the Summon thing, Its been on Korean test for a while and they still editing it, NC dosnt make a move before they are sure about it.

I have an off the topic question. If I am a level 50, 12 dex knight when we get the ac bonus I will get -7 ac extra right(every 7 levels 49/7 = 7)? Ok so when I turn level 51 and if i put my point into dex giving me 13 dex my extra ac will be -8 then right(every 6 levels 48/6 = 8)? sooo. if i add a point to dex every level until i am 18 dex putting me at level 56 (56/4 = 19...) hmmm -19 ac extra from dex ac bonus. Putting points into dex may be the best idea?

Cruel game.. if you keep adding points.. that wont change your ac right away.. you have to level to get the ac bonus.. if you have 18 dex doesn't mean u will get -19 ac at level 56.. that means if you have 18 dex you have level 4 times to get 1 ac.. so wont work man...

Smokie under that logic, no one will get any ac unless they make a new character. or until the level 4 times more. I think the update means that whatever your dex happens to be, say 18, then you divide your level like 48 by the number of levels assigned to that dex(4) giving you -12 extra ac. You don't have to level all the way from 1-48 to get the ac bonus -.-

#56: I think Morte is referring to Shiva, a summon from the Final Fantasy series(She was supposedly an ice queen), not the Hindu god. You could also summon Ifrit (A fire demon, like in lineage).

I like how the new knight looks. Not the hair, I don't like that, but i think it's good that they are bigger (A powerful person usually is larger). They only look "fat" but that's cuz their armor is bigger. It's better than the current, ultra-skinny knights (doesn't look like a knight).

I hope they put more armor on the females. I mean, I don't have a problem with girls in not a whole lot of clothes(I AM a guy), but i don't think it's realistic that for example, a male knight has a full suit of armor, but a female knight has a metal bra. Or a female elf runs around in pink short shorts and a very small shirt. You would think an elf would be more modest. Or a princess in a loincloth with her undies showing, etc...

My views on these subjects...
the old mages and knights look like girly men. Now they like tough. Mages are still girly men and knights will rule dem all...
If the update comes to US servers i'm gonna ask the ice queen out...

ps-Putting points into con is imo a stupid move only because you don't get extra hp when you do so but you will get extra str and ac with dex and str...That is why con knights are and always be the better creations of knights...

#44 well i guess we will see if you need to level or not to get ac.. that was update that's why everyone got it.... and yes there are more people then Posiedon in that korean server i know...
I dont think just cuz u add dex you will recieve ac.. you need to level as well.. so if you manage to get 18 dex before level 54 or 55 when ever you do get the add start bonus... then will recieve ac.. its not that if you get 18 dex at level 58-59 it will automatically be devided.. no u still have the old ac and next time u level 4 times u will get it... i am pretty sure..
why dont u add dex bonus to your knight when it reaches level 50, and proove me wrong, please.

#60 your right.. just that the armor and shape of him makes him look a little fat and small, hehe... but mage no doubt looks very good and so do the New NPC for episode 11...

#84 - Siva is the way the West write it - I can't type Sanskrit here, but SHIVA is how you pronounce it, and any indian book would write it as Shiva, not Siva, so you're very wrong.

Besides, as, previous posters pointed out - the original poster was talking about FFX, not world religion.

ok, i don't mind the new look to the characters. thing is the characters should look as if they have a certain set of armor on. i.e; if i wear bone armor then u should look as if i have bone armor on /w shield. and plate mail, epm, mage set, mr set etc. richard garrot is the designer of this program(not lineage) from ultima days. this needs to be implemevted in lineage as well

OneSelf, I know a bit of that kinda things, A update that had diff look of all armors/weps/helms would take very long time to make, For Blizzard.. It took em like 1-3 years to do it with just 5 chars, And here.. Theres 4 chars, More diff look equip, And u can choose sex of char.. That would be way more work

lol its not like NC would go through that much trouble.... or any trouble at all... to make good updates. They spend all their time thinking up stupid updates to make ppl mad and when they not doing that they make up rules to ban people for fun.

oh and i think mage looks dumb... slightly better than old one but his clothes are still retarded.. looks like one of those greek bath robes -.-;;
and if u look at the knight close.. his not fat at all.. look at the black space between his arm and his waste.. take that out and hell look about same in fatness to old knight. He jus have big upper armor for some reason....
