ratman quest unfolds

The official site updated the Ratman story and a new under-boss has been appearing around the entrance to the Heine Dungeon. (Thanks to pulju for the screenshot.)

An excerpt:

Baell Zaer directed the Ratmen from the safety of the ruins of the lighthouse, shouting orders to his troops. It was quite easy to be brave so far from the fighting. Finally summoning the courage to enter the battle, he discovered that even princes and elves had traveled from afar to partake in combat against his forces.

update: I walked around Heine dungeons for awhile. It looks like the mysterious female in the story has granted lightning spell and curse: poison to all the ratmen. In addition, just outside the lighthouse, every 2 minutes, a group of around 6 ratmen spawn at once and shout "Attack!". Sometimes (the theory is every 1-2 hours) Baell Zaer spawns with them. Baell Zaer is harder to kill. I was in the group of people who fought him and I managed to score an n-zel off of him. The ratman drops seem unaltered, but it has been a long time since I have fought ratmen.

Doesn't matter... its a rat boss which does lightning and screams, most of us inticipated something like this.. but what are the drops.. blessed broad sword? hah.. useless event then.

Gamemaster said it himself that these events will not drop any special items or higher drop rate.. or monsters invading towns.. there are no such events anymore..

I think NC is giving out clues towards the event then once it has been identified with users then posted on the official site.. i remember they did the same thing with Giants.

it must be elindare, becuase the title is "A shadow from the past", and in the story the mysterious female was a shadow.

My drop from Bael was 2 n-zels, b-tps, 2 ebonys and a silver serpent necklace and adena. Now this was on test, so don't go getting your mouths all awater just yet.

But it gives you an idea.

And you Pk-campers suck!!!

i killed the "mysterious female" on dep server......
she dropped me diamond, emerald, sapphire, q-sapphire, adena, ruby..........
with 50 ac....took me 50 clears and 250 orange pots......
hurts like a bitch........since my lineage is in korean her name was "???"..
i am sure she is elindare cuz the mop around it were called serpent of elindare..2 d-e 2 ramia...can see coi...
elindare use succu like magic....does about 200 dmg.....^^ good luck..i die 3 times T.T

Elindare has been spotted on Heine, I think it was, 5th floor. Not sure, but I know that she's been spotted in Heine caves.
