Dog Control Change

A previously unannounced change has been updated with the Episode 10 publish affecting dogs. Dogs that have levels above their owner’s level will no longer be fully controllable by the owner. Players will be able to auto-kennel the dog by simply logging out when the dog is set to anything but Alert mode, or by using the Kennel Master menus if near enough to the Kennel Master. When the player owner reaches a level above that of the dog, they will then be able to control the dog fully. We apologize for not announcing this change prior to publish.

its a big download and its overloading their servers when so many people who didnt get cds and didnt bother to download update ahead of time are downloading it now..

who needs dogs anyway they jsut take all of our exp and when they die we have to waste 1.5k to res them -.- who needs them ><

u need em when u trying to lv a newbie char, or trying to make money rather than make exp =.=

no point having a dog from here on --;;; unless u got hacked or something...

also btw NC is so lame... they don't announce things that ppl don't want in game until after update, and then say either we forgot or it was a mistake that this was implemented. eg: som. "o it's a accident, we'll take out the 40 mp limit shortly", meaning we know u don't like the limit but we too lazy to remove it from what the koreans sent us.

Haha. I wonder how big the NC team is? They must just feel like crap. I wonder if Korea NC has thought about shutting down the US Division too... Anyway... This change is alright, I see why some people would be upset, but it does not affect me. Yay.

The dog control issue was published last month!!! How can you people say you didn't know!! NC is mistaken for posting an update that claimes they didn't publish the warning, THEY DID!! They may have missed "publishing" it on one of these community sites, but thats not really there problem. Stop whining weenies!! Plus, you all knew there was an update coming! Why didn't you update yourselves ASAP?! What a bunch of weenies you are, letting your parents pay for a service all you do is complain about and be critical of.

Well they must have made a typo on this one apparently when dog is on "ALERT" it still auto kennels when you restart even if the dog is of a lower level than you. SO MUCH FOR BEING ABLE TO ENJOY THE BENEFITS OF POLY SCROLL AND USING A DOG.

The Alert thing was put in , because Korean players where teleporting to Newbie land, leaving the dog on alert , letting newbies die , and then getting a full chao dog. They attempted to make it so the mutt would vanish while on alert... but of course there are ways around that. And there are ways around this dog thing, NC and Lord British are not gamers, not anymore.
Amer is the only person I know of that posted about the dog changes. It doesn't matter anyhow.
