Events coming soon?

The Lineage History section of the official website was recently updated with two stories. Last time this happened, we had an event, so this might be a preview of an event to come. The first story appears to be a preview for (or background on) Episode 11. The second story seems like some kind of Ratman event. Here is an excerpt:

They scurry in the dark, furtive and nervous. Their very movement betrays their cowardly nature. Quick to bully the weaker, even quicker to run when confronted. The Ratmen of the Heine region have been an affliction since before recorded history. A young warrior or novice mage rarely has trouble dispatching even a group of Ratmen.

We ask for an event... and im afraid this event will be geared towards newbie (rat men for christs sake) just like everything else NcAustin does (the newbie area, the newbie npcs, the newbie friendly supports who spend most thier time helping newbies)

ya... i can like kill 20 rat men on one leg while opposite arm is tied around my back and blind folded with a dagger...

hk server gets ogre invasion in new year, we get ratmen.... HK/TW get halloween event on a holiday they don't celebrate, we don't get a event on halloween which we celebrate.

not to mention this is so unexciting... for newbie's it's like "whoa ratmen". for us it's like, "lets hunt hiene 4f instead"

i want the pre-commercial event designer back T.T

melantus said in the official boards that there were going to be some new events and 1 of them was almost ready, he said that it was a HARD quest type event and the reward is a con ammy.
maybe ratmen drop con ammy =)

i would like to have a CHAOS event. ALL areas are PKable, BUT you DO NOT lose exp, turn chaotic, drop items etc... just MURDER MURDER MURDER KILL KILL KILL... and maybe you get rewards on how high your pk count is? o__O i dont know ... jus saying it would be fun.

Im not bitching and moaning. But the fact is, mel said they wouldnt do any drop events, or arena events because he thought they where too simple, and that they where planning something big. I dont consider talking rat men that lightning you "something big" Now if you could please point me to the post where mel sais they drop con ammies i will shut up o_o

At the least, even if it's newbie-ish, it clears out our normal hunting areas of a lot of the annoying riffraff.

But if it's hard, and takes a lot for a good reward, all the better. Although I'm not sure what NC's definition of hard would be precisely.

Nothing wrong with Ratmen. You were all newbies once too. The fact is that there's more newbies right now than experienced players, because half of you just bitch and moan and then quit. If it takes events to keep you interested, you shouldn't be here.

without events what do high lvl players have left? after they get all their ac to maximum perfection... a perfect weapon.... lvl 49..... killed all bosses about 20+ times... over 10 mill in storage
what do they have left? maybe its time to make another char... but then what do u do when u have lvl 49+ of each char! quit? well it seems its the only way out but an event is something differant it saves us from doin the same thing day in and day out! it gives us a reason to stick around for a little while longer!
so i think nc should make more events even little one's for newb's and then big one's for high lvl experienced players... but i understand nc is *too* busy for events at the moment so hopefully after lin2 comes and they arnt *too* busy for us maybe they will start making better and more events ^_^*

Azzere... you should lvl to 60 and 1:1 anthy then you can call that an event for yourself. Good reward too.
Remember that bear event... yes it was horrible but didn't high lvl ppl camp there all day?

Flyz goinoi lvl 60 is losing 2years of ur life.... playing 7hour a day! wow i dont call that a game.... its more like a work ! Lineage is supose to be fun, not be stronger and own everyone! And u call that a event trying go lvl60 and kill antharus.... wow a event take u 2-3years lol and event supose be funny....going lvl 60 is REALLY noit funny.

proknight why don't u just shut up. i'm totally pissed off with nc austin and with the screwed up gms in hk i have no more lineage i can really enjoy.

also how am i racist? i'm saying jp's and kr's are crazy gamers as in good way. jeezus if i was racist would my ex be a jp'nese? i'm just tired of typing all 8 words refering to a nationality. I come here now and then just to check if nc is making improvements... and so far it isn't anything compared to the 1-2 events a month to hk server. only reason i'm not playing that server is for the gm incident until they give a clear explanation and that i'm in canada and it's laggy for me (although us server's just about as bad)

lostheaven is one of the most respected community leaders as many newbies will prob not heard of because he is perm banned for voicing the comparison between the promises made during beta-gms and what they have delivered after commercialization. he pointed out a few gaps between that promise and reality and that was that.

maybe one day u too will be a leader with great influence for the community like lostheaven, but that just means that u'll prob be banned like him for saying things like him

gms drew names from a hat and allowed 101 players inside giran arean for some unreleased mop hunting.

when was their last event? not even 20days between them. when was our last event?
