complete and utter boredom
While messing around with name tools we found on the web, I threw together a Lineage Name tool. It's more of a joke than a tool to calculate an appropriate Lineage name as many of the names are totally ridiculous (yet taken!). Anyway, have fun. :) If you have suggestions on how to improve it, let me know.

This is how I believe it works. each letter is worth a number according to appearance. So a=1, b=2 and so on. Each number is worth itself. It doesn't matter in which part of your name they are placed, or which name (last or first), for both are totaled up in the end. The total will get a variable, which I will call n.

It then takes n and does an equation, say if n=x (certain number), then it goes through a list of names and picks one corresponding to x.

I've had some flaws with this, since I have noticed at really high totals the names seem to go in a different order than the first set, but it is somewhere on the lines of this.
Personally, I think it should of been done where the first name makes one syllable, and the second name makes another syllable. If the numbers are both even, a prefix is added. If the numbers are both odd, a suffix is added. If the numbers are equal, a special syllable is added, possibly a prefix and suffix :). Here's and example:

First name: Equals 18
Last name: Equals 30

First name syllable for 18: Dar
Last name syllable for 30: ius
Both even, so prefix added: Sir

Final Name: SirDarius
