New Item: Oilskin Cloak

Jude1004.com reported (http://lineage.jude1004.com/news/index.asp?pg=/news/view.asp&cts_id=5226) that a new item has been found on the Korean Test servers, the Oilskin Cloak.

The cloak is -1 AC, weight 10 and can be enchanted (safely to +4 we assume), however, efforts by Jude1004.com to get the purpose of this item from the GMs were not successful. It's still a mystery. :)

Yes, this item was to be introduced as something you can wear to prevent armor from rusting when its raining. Ugh, I hope thats not what its for now.

im guessing since beta it said it wont let it rust.. it probably ment ur items cant break? like if a blob hits u.. maybe just armor not for sword but.. there woudl have to b more monsters that damage armor for that to be useful

Dwarvish Spear, Rune Sword, Voulge, Ranseur, Unicorn Horn, Shirt, Stiletto, Cloak of Displacement...

It's nice to know that NCSoft still remembers those old items. That Cloak is about the oldest item in the game. Were they ever going to add furniture for Pledge Houses?

there used to be weather in beta. every time the GMs made it rain, the entire server would bitch like mad because of the lag it caused. think about it. would you WANT more slowdown? ;)

there were also more items that were never put in that I remember from beta. First of al the list I will put below.

A ring that could see people in coi lvl 45 to wear. I Defently remember this item being there my friend Nolimits had one. I belive they are still around =P people call it a bug to see people in coi but its not.

Oilskin cloaks prevents rust. This is old item like you said from the beginning of lineage. They are going implement the weather back into lineage probably and make it so ur armor rust when it rains more then likely.
The rune sword is suppose to have "magical" powers. ANyways ....

Odd that nodoby knows the name of this ring, it's not reported on any of the fansites and nobody claims to have one.
Oh... or they could just be cheating.

Heck, if that's the case, I'm gonna go find one of those elusive "Rings of Auto-Hunt Bot" that haven't dropped since beta and nobody knows about.

Not saying they weren't around in beta... but if they were, what were they called? And I seriously doubt anyone has one now.

Was called ring of Sayha and was only useable by 52+ and allowed users to see all coi users when worn. That be great for seiges since can't coi block against user of that ring ^^. But ring was never put in game heeh.

Alot of the items you named were in game already, like Hoggle said.

The Shelob/Ungol/Uruk-hai thing isn't because of LoTR -_-:; There are no copywrite laws for names of fantasy characters ~_~ They changed it for their own reasons, although I believe it was because they didn't want people to think and assume that they stole the names from Tolkien...

Oilskin prevents rust/breaking, not items dropping -_-:;

sorry didnt know it would come out like that lol, but what i meant after snare the old lineage guide said item restrictions and i listed every item that was on their list specified to which class, sorry for the confusion, maybe i should check the posts before i post them lol, and actually i forgot to mention that balrog was also changed, and in my opinion it is to court issues, it is nc after all, they dont like lawsuits, so they do bend alot when there is a liable lawsuit
