-10 hit bonus to mana staff!
darklineage.com reported that they've added -10 hit bonus to mana staff in korean test servers. I guess this means you'll have a pretty tough time draining mana from mops or other players, even from stone golems...
this is just a test server update so far, so let's not freak out(yet)

Just when the mage class gets a good break they go and get screwed again. I love my mage and a staff to mage is a key tool to leveling and making it in the game.

That just sounds well... retarded maybe if the mana staff did some damage then this might make some sense but since its only real purpose is to get mana fast y make it hardly ever hit I doubt this idea will go very far

Good thing I didnt re-level my mage..I believe same thing will happen to US servers..That's the way NCI works..they want some action in the global chat in-game.. so they can hit the magic button and ban some poor guy complaining.

I'm guessing it just does less damage, as if it were broken, but still steals the same amount of MP. I dunno for sure tho. I hope thats the way it is, cause I don't want my efforts to get a +7mana staff to go to waste >.<

When I have not seen yet , but I believe its a reduction in number of hits per second. (the swing rate, and not Hit %). So in other words its slower than hell , which doesn't matter anyhow , just use a morph. If it was Hit % it would say successfulness to attack.

Actually, as far as I know, Hit Bonus refers to damage. Staff of Force has a +3 Hit Bonus which means it will always hit for at least 3 damage, plus 1-9 random, plus the STR points. So a +6 Staff of Mana would do 6 damage - 10 [-4], plus 1-3 random, plus the STR points. In other words, it might do 2-4 at most.

Are you sure. I thought (and support said, although they have been known to be wrong) that hit bonus referred to % hit success, so mail breaker gives you the success rate of someone at higher level. In fact, I think -10 on SOM is the exact opposite of the +10 hit on mail breaker... there IS a damage bonus, which is something different.

Hit Bonus = Rate of Fire Increase Attack Successfulness = Hit % Damage Bonus = Damage Increase to final damage , for example crossbow has +3 Attack Successfulness (which makes you hit as if you were 3 lvl higher) +2 Hit (Increase rate of fire by 2) I am being told by my sources it will translate to Attack Successfulness though, which is going to be very bad. Also Amer you might want to check into this Str modifies Hit %, for some reason a high str and mid Dex Elf hits better than a full Dex Elf. O.o this is wierd , a 20 str knight can hit things at an earlier level. I want to know the hell they are nerfing the mana stick.
