Saturday the 15th Event

On Saturday, December 15th, Lineage Warcry will be hosting two events in the Giran Arena on the Lineage servers. The signup form for these events is located at http://www.25.brinkster.com/linwarcry/event/event.html and participants are asked to contribute a fee. Events will begin at 4:00 PM CST on the Depardieu server and 6:00 PM CST on the Ken Rauhel server. (If time zones confuse you, use this this clock for the countdown.)

Note: The arena on both Ken Rahuel and Depardieu are marked as “combat zones”. These combat zones function just like the other combat zones with Lineage, and the same player versus player combat rules apply. Players can attack other players at any time during these events within the arena, although the players may be requested to stop fighting momentarily to allow for the event process to occur normally. Any player that does not follow the requests of the Event Announcer can possibly be removed from the arena. Entering the arena to participate in an event is deemed as “at your own risk” by the contestants. Items and experience will not be replaced for contestants, if lost.

Also note that all amounts referred to as entry fee money are in-game adena, not real money. No real money is involved.

The events will include a Gremlin Bash and Lineage Deathmatch.

At the beginning of the Gremlin Bash registered participants will be brought into the arena. Four note scrolls (stationery) will be inscribed by the Event Announcer. They will then be placed on the ground in the arena, while the contestants wait for the event to start. The Event Announcer will then spawn a large amount of gremlins. Four out of the large group of gremlins will pick up these scrolls. Upon word from the Event Announcer, the players may then begin to kill the gremlins using only a sword (no magic, or pets). All potions except brave can be used. No polymorphing. No attacking other players. The players that turn in the stationery will receive a portion of the entry money (adena), and will be announced as one of the winners of this event.

The second event will be a Lineage Deathmatch.

Note: The arena on both Ken Rahuel and Depardieu are marked as “combat zones”.

At the beginning of this event, the contestants will be summoned into the arena. They will stand all around the outer edge of the inside of the arena, until the Event Announcer starts the event. When the event is started, players will begin to fight against other players. There can be only one winner, which will be the last player alive in the arena. Players may use any potion or spell, but may only use one summoned pet. Players may not use the Cloak of Invisibility or invisibility spells. Players are not allowed to polymorph during this event.

The last player alive at the end of this event will win a portion of the entry fees.

Special note: Participation in the event is at your own risk. Any items lost or dropped during these events will not be replaced. The arena operates under normal zone rules. Please be sure to only bring items you feel are acceptable to lose. If a player leaves the arena for any reason, they will be disqualified from participation. At the end of the event, the Event Announcer will remove all players from the arena. The judgment from the Event Announcer is final on all winnings or disqualifications.

Note that all of the entry fee money (adena) will be used for the winner prizes, split into a certain percentage of the total entry fee amount per winner of each contest.

I guess I shouldn't have signed up my mage if there is going to be a deathmatch...

Btw, is 1 dog an acceptable pet to bring to the arena? I'd rather bring a dog than a bugbear...either way, I'm probably dead though. heh.

All these contests are for high lvl people who have good weapons and stuff. There should be a contest for weaker people too, don't know how , but it should.

Correction on where I called the arena a normal zone. The arena is actually a combat zone, and functions just like other combat zones around the map. Items and exp are not lost, unless there is some condition that I am not aware of.
