Hunt while you can...
From what I just read at Lineage Playforum (http://community.playforum.net:8080/bbs/prog/column?action=read&iid=10051004&kid=978), it sounds like NCsoft will soon make some changes to hunting underwater. Mages will no longer be able to take tamed or summoned monsters underwater. They have already made this change on korean test servers. If you are a summon mage and you are hunting underwater, I suggest that you hunt as much as you can while it lasts.

OMG, I can see the desert now. 100 summon mages fighting for a couple basi's. Maybe after they implement this, they'll raise the drop on 6fl dvc. *starts to reconsider making a mage*

thats stupid if they do that. where are mages gonna hunt? lots of places are underground. or do they just mean under water?

I dont know he seems to refer to underground hunting in general, but I heard something before Heine update that you would not be able to take BB's underwater with you. So I hope its only underwater, if its going to be underground even on the mainland then what will be the point of getting summon at all, most of the above ground hunting places suck. Ohhhh well I guess we will find out soon. Regards MORDHEL

oki that sux if mage cant take BB to cave ore unbderwater. hvot have mage don to tha NC mage cant fight in combat underwater if the dont have tame ore summon monster :((((

I don't know about all underground hunting areas. I believe it said "heine underwater", so the update probably won't affect other areas such as ant dungeon and mlc.

i'm gonna have to agree w/ frozen on that. if they made it so u can't take tamed/summoned mops to underwater/caves then it would be quite difficult to kill dragons. what i'd like nc to answer though is why bother putting mops in the game that are impossible to kill? what purpose do they serve?

Yes this is probably NC's solution to people killing dragons too easily. This way it is literally impossible to kill them now, which is exactly what NC wants!

Maybe it WONT be impossible to kill him now. If they make it impssible to bring tamed mops down there, maybe they'll make him do a little less dmg or something. They wanted him to only be killed by a big group and thats what its gonna take.

Its still going to be semi-easy if they bring them back the way they were, except without mages getting mops. Just come with a couple of knights and lots of elves. Pack the knights up on clears, and send em to the front line. The mages ice lance, and the elves eat more greens the popeye.
