Korean Live server publish on 3/2

This weekend, the Korean Live servers got a new update (lineage.co.kr announcement):

Orange Potion base price increased from 125 to 200. Clear Potion base price increased from 500 to 600.

There is an AC bonus now based on your DEX (see earlier Lineage Compendium news post). Basically, if you have a DEX 18 character, you get -1 AC every 4 levels.

Purple time (the time your name is purple when you hit a player) has been increased from 15 seconds to 30 seconds.

Baphomet now yells and teleports players from his room at the same time. (He previously yelled, then teleported)

No sieges can be scheduled between 6am and 12pm.

Eva's Shield bug fixed. (You would take more damage if you were wearing the Eva's shield than if you were not)

Fixed bug where if your dogs had trouble getting to the monster you were fighting, they would attack the nearest player.

update: In this Playforum article, http://community.playforum.net:8080/bbs/prog/column?action=read&iid=10051003&kid=1002, it appears that players are also reporting the disabling of the wheel mouse. Not sure to what degree..

Amer that bug has been fixed on the test server. Tame and Summon mops go on defend when they are blocked (or they just stand there). Maybe I should make a 16 Dex Knight before they make so I can't.

ATTENTION: they tested the orange/clear potion price change and they got very bad replies from it (this is test server) and a admin even commented that the price change would not take place (i think, not entirly sure)

I hope this dex/ac thing will happen on US servers, and fast. This will make some people, not horribly alot, play elves, so the economy will raise. And this will also help the elves a little, and give everyone a new advantage. Now all we need is -10ac bonus every level ^____________^ Antharas down in notime

Will a Dex.17 wearing a BOE or DexBow (for 18.Dex total)
get the same -AC bonus as a natural Dex.18 Elf Character?

Inquiring Minds would Like to Know!?

Also, what of DEX spell? will that added +5.Dex
temporarially impact your -AC as well?

em...i think u can make the follow changes to the classes
18dex elves (-1ac/4lv) - over 1/3 elves in lineage r in this stat already
18dex mages (-1ac/4lv) - i dont think anyone KEEP this stat -_-"
18dex prince(ss) (-1ac/4lv) - then again..this stat makes charisma goes to 13
while str is 11 and con 10....pretty weak in stat
16dex knights (-1ac/5lv) - 16str 16dex 14con knights...hmm....unless got good
ac p-g str ammy str enchant...heh...

then again...no one play their characters focusing on their other stats when ppl want that extra ac....

knight already have a lot of ac...korean server got at least 4ppl having over -58ac...crazy....us servers knights making -50ac not hard...
-calculating that 12dex -1ac/7lv...lv 49 -7ac total..that's -57ac...aint that powerful to knights?...or just creating another in-balance..in this-so-called-knight game

elves...elves cant beat knights even with 18dex....lv 48 -12ac in total...
comparing to that low str...even with str ammy p-g str enchant (19str there)
they still weak since knights can just use str enchant and p-g too
(16str minimum + 7str = 23str minimum)...so...that only favor for ppl to make dex elves instead of con elves...which is ok...but still get killed by knights...
in duel?...18dex elf vs 18con elf with same ac same weap is a stalemate in case
u ppl ASSUME CON IS BETTER......con only good if u lag a lot...have that extra hp in case u might get lag out and die...sometimes that hp boost might save u that 10% at lv 47 o.o....but then again...hunting use pots anyway--"..18dex DOESNT increase dmg on monsters using bow...only INCREASE ACCURACY...str is dmg

11str 18dex 10con 13charisma prince, need i say more?...

18dex mage...well....it really doesnt help if mage only gain 1more er per 10lv..
-12ac...that's good...but bad on other stat...with 18dex...maybe lowering int wis or con...that's not good...

I don't see con elves bowing knights and hurting like crazy.

this is so sad, what are you guys gonna do if it doesnt reach us servers. you all seem to have ur hearts set on this ac/dex thing... I wouldnt be supprised if it makes it but i wouldnt count on it. its like betting on a dog in normal condition and a low adverage when a dog in bad condition and a higer win percentage wins the race -.-

Well that's like saying if u make an elf make a DEX elf. A dex elf has the same str.11 as con elf ( that is if u compare a 18 con 18 dex elf ),but the dex elf will have better ER than a CON elf, and a better bonus ac. So most of the CON elves will delete and make a dex elf. In Lineage we only got 4 classes and i think it will be better if at least they can make a choice of being dex,con,str char.The way they have it now....I think all elf will be dex.
Also i think they are doing ok in Korean server about having dex update , cuz they have Tsurugi which is a powerful weapon as ONE HANDED,and Elfes can't use it. knight's will be very powerful with the one handed tsurugi but elfves will have good ac...i think that's what they are trying to do. But in US server Tsurugi is still 2 Handed so I don't think the NC will put it in this server. it just won't be fair to all other classes. I my self have an elf but I don't want to see a bunch of elves and a couple of knights and mages. I hope NC would think carfully about bringing this to US server....if they do, they should at least change a little to make it fair for other classes. And so that we won't see a lot of high lvl char deleted into a DEX elf .

I think its like the auto defend thing during beta, it semi working, then will be fully working later on. *shrugs* Dogs are growing useless anyhow, there are reports of collect problems on Test and on Dep.
I might make a Dex Mage, I still like my Str elf though.

word up, i really hope that the dex ac bonus gets added to US servers.
The ac would balance the game more in favour of the dex elves in particular, and you would see more bow-using elves in game ... just like in the days of Lineage Beta ^__^. Word up ... T___T

i asked gm in-game a month ago, i asked if more dex will increase bow dmg:
he said no, he said dexterity is for accuracy of hitting and evasion rating (both close combat and long range FOR BOTH accuracy and ER)
he said str is for dmg, the more str the more dmg u deal at using whatever weapon you use, including bows, swords, punches, and kicks o.o

When elves verr they go to the town they are closest to -.- They use blessed venz/rotc to get to mother tree.
Str has NOTHING to do with bow dmg, its all to do with dex. Dex increases accuracy AND hit dmg probability. (yea a GM/support told you, but have you ever emailed them? They have told me the wrong answer to my questions several times, so it depends on who you talked to -_-)

And err I use a con elf ^.^; I have played dex, I just prefer con.

if the update about dex/lvl ac bonus apears on US servers just think... the ac should make up for the lack of both con and str on elfs... all the lvl 48+
-47ac elfs will now have -59ac. they'll be unbeatable.

str is damage for dex elves and con elves and in fact all elves. Test this if you want to, I have before with a str elf and a dex elf, the str elf owns with a bow or sword.

Ok, having -96ac wouldnt help any against spells at all would it? I thought Only MR takes Damage away from spells, right? So when the real powerful spells like destroy get put in the game that ac bonus isn't really gonna help you. Elf: *look at me I am so strong, I'm lvl 52 dex elf with 25 dex that gets me +1 ac for each lvl..so I have -102 ac!! Yay* Mage:*I am a big powerful lvl 53 mage, I have destroy die puny elf* Elf:*dies*......Please correct me if I am wrong.

u are wrong

a lv40 str mage can kill a lv 53 elf no sweat, no need to wait till i'm lv 50+. If i have a lv40+strmage(which i'm working on) i'd sooner quit game than lose to some elf at any lv =P
