CONTEST #2

DURATION: November 8 - November 24

PRIZE: You will be the official graphics person of Lineage Compendium. I know its not that great of a prize, but we need one and we hope you graphics people will like that.

TO ENTER:Redesign our home page and send it to me (graphics/html). Here's our first submission: EdgyAsHell's submission. If you have questions about our preferences, just email me and I'll provide all sort of answers on what I'm looking for. Once selected, I'll work with you to redesign the whole site.

QUALIFICATION: Anyone who is willing to commit to helping us for the next few months is welcome to try their hand at redesign.

RULES: Don't use frames, don't use a dark background, leave room for the menu to be expanded, do not have a screenshot/tip of the day on the main page (this list will grow ^^)

Looks like we already found a winner. Looks good edgy. I have a gripe though, why is the sight so large horizantally? I mean its the same deal with the lineage boards, and I get tired of clicking over. I know I have a small moniter (15inch) but...

Honestly I whipped that up in about 3 hours and didn't do multi resolution/browser testing. If Amer decides he likes min of course we would support 800x600 resolutions in the design.

Took you three hours? hehe thats for the graphics right? I can put a whole site up with at least five cgi scripts in about three hours. But I suck at graphic ^^ Yah 800x600 is what I like

Ya dawg, that's like 5 min HTML tables, 2hours 55 min looking at images zoomed to 900% (!.!) CGI scripts? Scripts? Why is it Common Gateway Interface if Perl is the only viable implementation of it I wonder. O well!

Well, you also have other languages you can use to create cgi, python for example. But perl is the most versitle, so its used more often. Python is alot easier though lol

need a change on your site.... amazing stuff... iron gloves can be used by !!!!!!!!!!MAGESSSSSSS!!!!!!!!! as well as knights.... duno about elves..... i think after this info goes out to everybody nobody will want +4 gloves anymore ^^

Im in the process of designing a site for a while now hehe chated with amer about it even before the ste went live, but the white BG has put a spanner in the works. Hye amer can the site haver a light grey BG, maybe just someing not so hard on the eyes. Regards Mort

Hey guys, if you neen any help with graphics, thats my field. I'm taking my second course in Adobe Photoshop 6.0/Image Ready 2 advance techniques. I'm haveing a blast and I want to become a Graphic designer.

Good graphic designing sux, you have to learn all that math and geometry just so you can get the angles right :( Won't catch me doing it ^^

LifeStealer, I guess you do need some mathamatical skills but I usually design stuff with my intrest. If I think it looks good to me, then I think that people will like it too. I also like to draw and so I let my artskills to determine if something looks right. It all depends on how you feel and what you like.

I was talking about game graphics in specific, I would hate to have that job. It requires that you be an accountant ><
