some Korean news from lineage friends
  • One of the Korean Servers is finally nearing its full capacity all the time. People are complaining that it takes up to 2 full minutes to retrieve your item from the dwarves sometimes.
  • On the Korean servers, magic gems got more expensive, +boots +gloves went down.
  • There was some kind of database error involving blessed adena where adena was duped. We think it's not a reproducible thing, but instead a one time error on NC's part.
  • There's also a bug with Wizard Set, which ImhoteP originally reported to us on the test servers. If you have less than 50 MP and are wearing the Wizard set when you log off, when you come back, you have 0 MP.

    mmm yes he did dupe the money, but there is more to it cant read it all.. he was cought and banned it seems.. mm.... he postet the mail he got and send to NCI also.... i used babel.altavista.com to translate, isnt perfect translatet but works mostly...

    You used to be able to do it on US servers back in Beta. It involved dropping adena/items on the ground, then unplugging your modem to create lag, then restarting (this is based on what I've heard). When you come back in, you have the adena/items in your inv AND on the ground, hence doubling your stuff. Summon mages could also use this to summon bb's over and over to get more than 8. I think I saw Shinobi with 18 or so bb's once, this when I first started and was in skt. I wouldnt try this now, they fixed it long ago.

    i remember that... but if it was fixed on the US server wouldnt it already be fixed on the korean server? Seeing as how they get fixes before we do...

    From what I've read so far, it really sounds like it was a bug by their database, not by someone hacking or doing something different. I doubt the information will be any useful to us since it's fixed now. The game won't be fun anymore if you can just double your money easily. but, they did take away the totems....

    There is/was a problem with the client , where you dropped the adena and it would dupe itself , (due to lag), but they fixed it back before I joined Lineage. The "kid" that help make some parts of Art0fmoney, and Winhack , showed me a site in Korean that supposely was a write up on the bug by both players and Pr people (this was before NCinteractive was in control). There are a "few" people that tried to make mem hacks for Lineage (aka trainers) , a few of them work very well (the client is a smart one meaning it has alot of information being sent to it). The few that did work , were remove layer , see COI , highlight but some of the ones like messing with stats, or adena and whatever didn't work. Most of the trainers were in fact kiddie scripts to make backdoors in the player's PC. Most of the hacks for Lineage are HTML based , and get disabled fairly quickly. A Korean website (Uh translate I think Lineage Doctor or something) , had the html calls to graphic and spell effects for some time. There was a Full Heal hack but it was disabled ages ago.
