Lost Treasure Week

Join us on the Depardieu, Ken Rauhel, and Lands of Aden servers for Lost Treasure Week! Monsters throughout the entire land of Aden will have a greater chance to carry coins and loot in their pockets – just waiting for the skilled adventurer to claim! The event will commence with a brief server reset at 10:00 AM CDT on Thursday, May 22nd and will end with the regular weekly maintenance period on Wednesday, May 28th.

update: looks like NC cleared up the details of the events. The section in bold is what was changed.

cool, i like money events, they r so nice, i dislike drop events, no sense in a turtle dragon dropping a tsurugi, kinda makes things unfair. But when all mops drop more money its like test server.

hey never make fun of the tsu NEVER NEVERRRRRR that hiene event made everyone happy either way if u got the tsu or u got the TQDs hiene was the best event ever made everyine happy and the server had a 900 to 1k ppl online during that time so it did good to all business to NCsoft and pleasure to its costumers

I am assuming that this is a drop event that increases the adena for each mop and slightly increases the chance that they will drop the rare items each mop normally drops. If so, this is my favorite event. I guess I know what I will be doing this weekend. o.0

Crackerman (#21) is basically correct.

Overall every type of drop will be slightly increased. So more money. More drops. More chances to win... I mean, better chance to get the rarer items. ;)

Kool. Looks like I'll be renewing my account this week then. Oh and by the way Heine event wasn't great for everyone. It totally screwed up the lineage economy. One of my best Lineage friends quit soon after the event because the economy was so messed up. And he got a B-tsu, a CPM, and a couple rings from the event. But I'm not complaining, just saying that it wasn't a happy time for "everyone." I myself am looking forward to this event. Just what I needed to inspire me to reopen my account. Look out Dep, here I come!!!!

Damn I hope I get to play during this event, favorite event was the drop event similar to this after Heine event. I liked Heine event, it was just that everyone was mop theiving like crazy - wasnt that fun. At least ppl wont be theiving as bad as Heine - hopefully.

Only if we're unlucky enough we will be seeing another heine event. That was horrible, i made out nicely but it just brought out the true color of each and every person on dep. Kind of sad knowing how people act when there are rare items involved. Greed overwhelming.

Leilo on test server mops like werewolf are dropping 60-120 adena average.. thats like what dep server is now.. Is this the event that is going to happen? a fraction of a percent higher drop rate? Please increased drop rate to atleast half of what test server is... make it something worth playing.

DROP EVENT DROP EVENT DROP EVENT!!!!!!

I love this event. This event really helps all players of all levels. The new players get the opportunity to make money and get some good items to sell/trade/equip, and the veterans get the opportunity for some really nice drops that would otherwise be insanely difficult to get.

I LOVE THIS EVENT!!!!

damm, unemployed and my gf left on a biz trip for 2 weeks. what will i ever do? thanks for the perfect timing nc. at least it is lasting a week, so even the most casual user can have fun with this. it will be packed at peak times, but hopefully people will spread out and not go crazy like previous events confined to certain area's. what about fi, will the drops there be inceased? ^^

OK - feel free to throw rotten eggs and daggers my way, but I have to make a clarification on what the event IS exactly. ;) (And yes, the following two paragraphs are duplicated from what I just said on the main boards.)

The event is server wide, but it is not the traditional "2x everything" event. What increases is your probability of getting things, not the amount that you'll get.

For example, instead of getting two ogre bloods, you're going to be twice as likely to get the single ogre blood. For cash loot, if a goblin normally drops adena 50% of the time, he'll drop it 100% of the time during the event. But the actual amount he drops likely won't increase. He'll just always be carting it around in his pockets.

So in the end, you do end up getting more loot the more you hunt, it just won't be visible as a radically increased amount. You'll just seem more "lucky" with your drops. :)

One reason we did this, btw, was to avoid mucking the economy by vastly increasing the adena on the server and yet allow us to run a longer-term drop event (rather than the 2-hour periods we did in the past). We'll be interested to see how it works out for all of you, so please, do give us your feedback once it starts? Thanks!

I just killed a few Elmore Soldiers on Test.
4 Soldiers gave me adena in the 140 to 170 range. None gave me over 200a.

AND

One gave me Sixty Seven Adena!!??

Yes, that's right an Elmore Soldier gave me 67a on Test.
A few hours ago I would usually get 900 to 1400 adena from a Soldier which is about 6x what I usually get from 'live' servers.
Obviously, it makes test unplayable, but I was wondering if this is the kind of drop rate that NC Leilo were wanting.

As far as test goes - until we're through testing, its not going to be all that 'fun' of a change for the test regulars because it takes away the increased loot dropping normally present. They'll roll it back off test once they're done, well, testing.

I have hunted Fire Valley over 100 hours total and never got b-zel/dai from Eggs, Flys and Taur and I never even got an n-dai/n-zel from a Taur, so maybe with this event I will get my first n-zel from a Taur!!

Man... it is lame having bad luck. I am almost starting to believe that some accounts are blessed while others are cursed. Of the 6 b-zel/b-dai that I bought and used I had only 1 give me a +2.

This is fan-fing-tastic.
I have an entire week of absolutely NOTHING to do and I'm still on a wild luck streak. I made well over 10million adena during the recent DK event ^^.
Ancient Scroll (Only one other person), TQD, 2bdai, bzel, 4ndai, 3nzel, etc.

And I've killed a combined total of maybe 20 astagios and taurvs in the last couple days and gotten 2ndai 1nzel.

I'm pretty stoked =P.

Nope. Sorry - I shouldn't have said "roll back" - I mean "remove". Nothing will be reverted from test. They'll just change the way it works back to the way it normally works. :)

And yes, RKZ - every monster will have their drop probability increased. So not dropping extra, just a better chance that they'll drop the range of items they can drop.

Ok time for me to open my big mouth again. First off i got a level 49.15 elf and level 35 prince. So i have been around and hunted everywhere there is to go and been through A TON of the EVENTS. The people who sit there and complain about it being stupid event. You got your opinion and heres mine... DONT PLAY THIS WEEK. Makes more drops for the people that do like it. Second is people who are still so stupid that they are bringing up the PAST.... THE BANS HAPPENED AND THERES NOTHING YOU CAN DO.... get over it... NC doesnt make the events to compensate for there actions. They make it to keep us interested and to make us wanna keep playing for a good reason. Hell i bet when the first heine event happened no one went: "Wow this is to compensate for those nasty kobolds killing my dogs on talking island" or some stupid reason. There doing it to be in there favor of keeping us happy so we dont leave lineage. Not to make up for anything.... Well possibly the lag.. but hell they got no control over that..

my god ppl read previous posts before asking questions. i just read through all 86 posts of your crap why can't you? took 5 mins. NO the drops won't be like test. the probabilities of all drops are doubled. this means if ogre had a 1% chance of dropping blood, it now has a 2% chance. no double adena. no double items per drop. which i like this type of event better.

the person waaay above who said he knew where he was going to hunt, and that nobody would be there, my first guess would be Orc Beach. that's right. going for them ogres out there for blood, belt, and de for invis.

Carrington was right. the hiene drop event was a disaster. i say this and i got +30 hp belt, 2 RoW, 1 RoA, and epm. Post #78 Coot - the reason the web site says that, and leilo says otherwise, is because that is the exact same event introduction that has been used for the giran drop event (long ago, hmm maybe it was in hiene era actually now that i think about it...), and the post-hiene-event drop event. it was just a bad use of copy + paste.

NC does not care about those ban's ok (as most of us do anyway)! They do not have to prove anything to us, or to-make-event-for-apologise. They said long time ago there will be an event, and we got it. Period.

they copy and paste stuff from months and months ago? if they say something on the main lineage website you'd think thats what its going to be, whether its a copy and paste or not.
also for people saying good job for lineage admin posting, isn't that his job to talk to the public? notice he does a lot of posting on the clock, hasnt said much since he got off work... (first post 9:15 last post almost 4) of course thats a lot better than any of the admins who dont say anything at all except your account has been banned/we won't recover hacked items even though you pay 180 dollars a year for the game... etc...(i'd love to see a report on the amount of hackers that were actually prosecuted for hacking accounts, which would show nc really does care when a player gets hacked)

not sure exactly what you mean by post hiene event drop event, if you mean the hiene event itself they had a story line that a ship sank... was kinda interesting... personally i liked the heine event who cares if everyone got rich its a game not work, and id like to have nice items without devoting 16+ hours a day... if there was a simple way for you to see the amount of hours youve spent on each one of your characters youd probably really surprise yourself. for most of us playing ours true goals will never be reached, and besides for a few very dedicated players or after spending months/years on a game, sure you might get strong enough to beat most of the people. a game shouldn't take that long should it?
ya i contradict myself ill be playing the whole event, maybe ill get a nice item maybe i wont. ive played this game since beta and the events have only seem to go downhill and the people in charge seem less concerned about us personally and more concerned when the /who count gets below their set number and its time to throw an event in. and i dont see who can disagree with that, as someone already said when was the last time any of us have seen two events this quick. their numbers are hurting as far as NC Austin is concerned and compared to the amounts of players in other countries we arent really significant enough for NC Korean to listen to. obviously.
you do deserve nice items for the price your paying for this game. i dont know if anyone has been to any stores lately, but i dont see a game over 50 dollars, and they almost all include free online playing. dont need any meaningless replies saying "why dont you go get them then" that lead to no where just think about it. and what did happen to the NC employees that allowed such a stupid stupid mistake such as the pandora bug to even be put into the game? this is a business it doesn't matter who exploited it and maybe they were wrong using it but it boils down to stupidity on NC's part and who can deny that? why was it put in game?

I believe this is an Event for all Levels and Classes, allbeit the higher level players may reep more "Nice" items. But if a level 18 char gets a b-tsu then congrats, and boohoo to the higher levels. They are just jealous ^^ What are the chances of a lvl 18 char getting a btsu at the moment? We all have the same probability.

The increase of nicer items will make more available on the market, therefore the possibility of a price decrease and those who did not get a nice drop can spend their hard earned adena a buy something.

NCsoft did not mention how much of an increase the probability would be, and I think this would vary to the item. For example, nZel drop probablity increased by 2% whereas Blood may only have a 0.5% increase. Will just have to wait and see!

This should be a good event and I hope enjoys it. The only downside will be the popularity of some areas. Will try to squeeze myself in there somewhere ^^

good event, too bad I quit and having much more fun than you all :)

NC, I hope you realize that this is the best kind of event. it wont blow up the economy but it does help you actually get some money or a drop you've needed. but please, make sure you bump up spawn rate as well.

next you should have this event combined with poly event :) maybe for like christmas event or something else big.

theyve said that the probability of getting drops is 2x what it normally would be. in other words, youll get your normal drops but twice as often. so if we have a 4% chance of getting sb:invisible from a dark elf normally, the chances are upped to 8% for the event. as far as the money, if i have a 33% chance of getting adena as a drop from a giant, now 66% of the giants will drop adena. which, of course, will cause me to immediately run up to the forests of aden to hunt giants. i love killing tuff guys for my 25@. o.0

i dont think this is a high level event at all. theres plenty of lower level critters that drop good stuff; just do your research before you hunt to check out who drops what.

It means that the spectrum of items that a mop drops will increase in probablity. Example: Lets say that before the event, the odds of getting a btele from a scorpion where 1:14. Now, during the event, the probability has increased to lets say, 1:7 or so.
