Castles now give HP recovery. Also, a golem dropped Headband of Darkness which is AC -1, safe to +4 and gives MP regen (a WIS 11 Dark Elf gains 5 MP per tick with blue and 7 MP per tick with blue and headband)

A player did some tests with a +9 Damascus Claw. On a level 48, AC -46 player, 10 hits with no enchants took off 250 HP. Using Armor Break and Shadow Fang, it took off 210-320 HP.

Also, Bring Stone has been changed from 10 MP to 5 MP.

Finally, tests also show that Final Burn takes off the amount of MP you use in HP, plus 2-3. So, if you have 200 MP, you will inflict 202-203 HP damage with Final Burn. (Corrections made -am) We'll test on the US Test server, to see if there is a significance to the +2/+3

i did lvl up calculator with 18wisdom elf which i think dark elves would get same mp as... and 18 wis at lvl 48 would have around 300mp... which is still enuf to end mage/elves... so i think alot of people are going to go 18 wisdom...
but me~ im going 18dex 16str =) i wanna lvl up!

No... I think they are talking about the damage you do to other characters... I dont know what hp you end up with, but If you spend 200 mp for 197 worth of damage, I hope you're not left with 1 hp.... You would die in a second.

Magic resistence%, elemetal resistence% and another factor hit% better help against Final Burn.

Amer, look at the calculations on playerforum...The MP of the caster is 110 and does 113 damage to the target not 107. That means it does current MP + 3, not current MP - 3.

That spell is useless except in very rare circumstabnces....

You do 200 damage but you have 1left h, and you die in next hit, ur barely done casting the spell and u die next hit.


It will be useful if someone else is on the guy, you are final burning, and then you can final burn them from behind, and drink pots quickly before they turn around to hit you.


But its soooooo dangerous....If your 49, you dont wanna lose exp like that cause if you get hit with even a dagger once before you can drink pots, ur gone.

Or....concept....team work. A mage could full heal immediately after casting final burn.

But if someone is going to use final burn, they are probably using it in a sneak attack and are ready to immediately use a pot after casting.

I don't know if MR would help resist final burn because they did show final burn end a mage in 1 casting.

Or.....concept....time..even if the timing was almost perfect (which is doubtful in mmorpg), even a single hit will kill you. The exp cost that you would incur by doing this is too great.

That's the point everyone...final burn is not supposed to be a spell you use again and again. (Thus the name, "final".) It is basically a kamikaze/suicide spell.

Don't forget, dark elves are supposed to be assasins...not an alternative form of firestorm mages for sieges.

Well, the Dark Elf class does not look like the dark elf morph. It doesn't shoot arrows as fast either. Dark Elves only have an advantage because they can use claws, x-bow, 2 sword, class specific weapons. The thing to remember, they don't seem to be able to use shields.

You can't compare the Dark Elf morph and the Dark Elf class because you are comparing apples to oranges.

yikes take like 4 of these DEs with that minor invis spell, detect them out and final burn someone. Kill mostly everyone in one second. kinda unbalanced i think, but neat.

just when you thought firestorm mages were the most annoying parts of seiges.. now you will see 10 darkelves pop out of nowhere exploding on lvl 52+ people and killing them instantly, giving them no defense.

Yea, 10 DE will pop out and insta kill a level 55 knight. But then his friend, mr. mage standing 2 feet away, casts one fireball, and you have 10 dead dark elves!

10 Dark Elves cast Final burn on one knight a good tactic? If that knight is the last one standing then yes, otherwise no.

You see, Final Burn drains ALL HP-1 and ALL MP-1. Damage is based on the REMAINING MP. So a Dark Elf can have 200 MP, but if he only has 50 MP left he will only do 50+1~3 damage, not the full 200. It will be hard to keep your MP at maximum all time, because u spent MP's on other spells too, it's easily drained, so a good tactic is needed when using Final Burn.

Anyone else seem to think of the boss hunting aspect of final burn? If Final burn works on bossess the possibilities of these kamikaze warriors are endless. Furthermore if the range is 2-5 cells and not just one then there may be a few serious balance issues for one reason... Lindvior being huntable. Surround Lind several times over and on the count of 3 all the DEs let loose one big wallop. If all the DEs had 200 mp at the time, and all casted at the exact same instant. ~30 Dark Elves could end Lind instantly. If successful 1 dead dragon 0 dead dark elves. Thats if they all hit at the exact same instant.
