Roberto el Magnifico

Roberto el Magnifico toiled over the ancient scrolls, working fervently to decipher the magic contained in the lost runes. The candles burned low, casting long shadows throughout his chamber.

“I’m so close! I can just feel it,” he muttered to himself. “What am I missing?”

Hours passed as he worked his way through the incantations, over and over… with no success. His bones aching, he stood to stretch and pace the room.

“Aha!” he shrieked. “I’ve got it. It’s not just the words, but the actions as well!”

Far below his tower window, a group of old wizards looked up, curious about the commotion. With arched eyebrows, they glanced at each other.

“Is that you-know-who?” asked one.

“I’m afraid so,” came the only reply…

#11 is correct, event is on test now coming soon to us. and VOLDEMORT, would be cool new boss...lol 10000hp/5000mp can take control of players bodies and create total chaos in towns...he could be anyone o.O!

It will be funny if the event gave everyone the non implemented spells for a day. But no, heh not gunna happen nope nope. If its another lame drop event or some stupid morph event im going to boycott it. NCI is just trying to pamper us into not closing our accounts because until we get new content theres no point in playing anymore.

YAY ANOTHER LAME DROP EVENT WOOOOHOOOOOO! *groan* This time the foozle to kill isn't some poor woodland animal no, ITS MIMICS! Maybe the whole Mimic thing would make sense if we had actual working chests, but no NC couldn't possibly program that, instead we have like 3 chests in TI dungeon that cast erupt on the noobs.

I know some of you are hyped about lin2, just like
you were about LOA... it saddens me to see the servers
empty out and games commit suicide, think about it:
Never compete for users with yourself, NC!!!
Oh well, lineage will be kewl for a while longer.

I sure hope we see some fun in the time we have left. ^^

(sorry guys, NC making new events/games sends me into a rant,
why don't they instead debug the one they have???)

Lineageguide.com has a pic of some mimics running around outside with their mouths aglow. It's a possibility that they'll be dropping some nice stuff outside of the towers.. most probably for mages though.

God, I hope this event will be good. Morph events can be fun but I don't actually like them when it comes to hunting FV....Get's too crowded. Oh wellz, hopefully its for mages, after all mages have been nerfed over and over for a while now.

Yo your all fools, NC just cooked up some lame story by some minamum wage chair jockey becuase they dont want to bring attention to the server crash's that have been going on. am i the only one that see's it? i have lost items and friends have to (items drops in the time of the crash then lost in revert) and NC gave me a BS reply for service, we all know there support system is a joke.

this is the support i recieved for there blundering.

There was a brief issue with the cache server on LoA last night which required a server reset and resulted in about a 15 minute 'revert'. No items were lost in the revert, but it would make sense for you to be in a place that was 'earlier' than you were at the time the server went down. There are no restorations to be made for the revert because no items were actually lost due to the issue. We can't replace any drops that might have happened during the time that was 'reverted'.

that is BS i know many players other then myself that lost pots/drops from mop during reset, i know of 2 other RL friends that lost items becuase they were in dvc with me at the time of DC. NC why dont you just admit you messed up and give this customer some support.

#41 you expect NC to be able to have a realtime backup of the server? you have my sympathies for losing a nice drop due to a server crash, however thats a sad reality in an online game, especially RPGs such as this. server backups don't just happen instantly, so therefore backups are made on time intervals. it just so happens it had been 15 minutes since the last backup. it sucks i know, if you have any friends playing RO (or play it yourself) im sure you would have heard that they had hacker problems, and had to revert the server back to june 19 TWICE (once last saturday and again just like 2 days ago). the point is, it doesnt just happen here and with NC. Gravity has their shitty problems too.

and firen does it look like NC even cares about us knowing the "story" to lineage anymore? I mean half the ppl that play this game now don't know what was so special about gerard -_-*

and besides, do most of the past events remind you of storyline?

wow.. most of the time the storyline to the event is somewhat interesting and always tells us what the event is actually going to be and when. This just looks like NC was in a hurry to make us forget about the item and exp losses.

Wait a minute... THE SAD reality of MMORPG???
Hey I've played lots of these, and seen all the good ones fade away of get nerfed to death until you can't even fight other players anymore...
ALSO, server backups DO happen YES! On most games you are notified, then the server goes down for backup, during that time usually you can play for a while but the game is not being saved..
WE USED to call that "SERVER WARS" everyone would go red/have fun being rowdy.

Look I kinda agree with you TheCollector, but it's true that this game can use improvment, like ironing out some coding that's inconsistent way more than it needs to ruin the economy in the game by flooding it with free items for players who don't earn them.

WE USED to call that "MONTY HAUL" and working to keep people who loved/needed that sort of thing is ultimately what ruins these games for real players. I mean honestly, how many of you ran off to LOA for the free Cheese and Crackers? When the corndogs stop flowing, you'll abondon this game in a ruined state. What's next?!

Lineage Cheat codes for GodMode or infinate potions?!?!

what gets to me is that they have the power to make events, but then they choose to make stupid ones. If the whole server complains, there must be something wrong with them.

maybe they will spawn the new mimic mop in various hunting places?
I think a good idea will be spawning all the new ToI mops around the place (like the stronger versions of old mops)
so it gives us an idea of how strong the mops r

NC is just doing their job
I think NC is doing fine (except they need to work on their customer service and how they enforce their rules)
ppl complain and complain
then move on to another game
yeah, it is great at first
then they start seeing the problems in the game and more and more problems
then they quit and move on to another game
the process continues on and on
until u finally quit mmorpgs forever

There's some handy info walking around in the shape of NPCs. The good thing about them is that you can read up in a few seconds while walking somewhere, and they give nice little hints about what might be put in. Notable are some in Aden...

Ah, Gerard... those were the days... running like crazy from violently coloured spiders, wondering why ac went down when you put armor on, goblins and kobolds continuin to spawn at the exits of HV town when noone was around and providing an easy exp boost, running from more spiders...

Some people complain because they have legitimate gripes, others complain because they have nothing better to do, others complain because they aren't getting uber fast enough, and yet others complain because others are more uber than themselves.

Fact is, with all your whining, we should slap some Huggies on you and cram a bottle in your mouth. I've found Lineage is crowded with immature, whiney, bratty little kids, it's the ADULTS who behave like adults that make the game interesting.

If you don't like the game, leave. If you aren't leaving, shut your piehole and play the game. You have a choice, to leave or to stay. Try not to ruin everyone else's playing time with your self-centered, egotistical, childish griping about anything and everything you feel you can gripe about

maybe his GF is an elf rite and shes getting all bithy about wafer prices and hes low on cash but got working on a spell that makes them drop off special mimic? thats all i can think of and its probably even worse than the truth
