The Lands of Aden server experienced another strange outage last night, akin to the one we experienced last week which had Ken and Dep overrun by temporary homeless players.
The outage began for me at approximately 10pm est with a kennel master who would not release my dog. Attempting to resolve the bulky kennel master issues with a quick restart, I found myself unable to reconnect. After several attempts I gave up for the evening and tried logging into Ken. Ken was indeed up and running, but I missed my LoA home. After giving my new Harry Potter book a fertive glance I decided to go to bed.
We'll keep you updated when we hear word from NC on the flaky server behavior.

Hey everyone -
They're looking into the problem with LoA right now. I'll let you know as I hear any details about what is wrong, why it's wrong, and most importantly of all, when it will stop being wrong.

Yes - it's rebooted and back. For lack of going into great depth, it was a sub-server type of crash that shouldn't have caused any disconnects - just what most of you experienced with the logging out and not back in problem.
It's back up and running now and our network guys are going to keep an eye on it. (And CaptSturm is raising an eyebrow at it as well from home right now...) Sorry about the inconvenience everyone. :(

One of the server apps did hang/crash. I'll work with Ops to nail down this issue. (not sure at this point if its flaky hardware or maybe a config setting).
