Horror Runs AMUCK!!
Okay, so maybe not horror—but still pretty darn scary for some folks. It seems as though our friend Bobo had a greedy side. Legend often refers to lost treasure stored away in various chests throughout the lost dungeons of Aden. The enterprising young wizard had decided if he could simply give life to the various treasure chests and instruct them to seek him out... voila! Free money!

As Bobo casts his spells, so the trouble begins. Everyone knows you have to walk in rapid, tight little circles when reciting the incantation for this type of spell; “Robert the Magnificent” trips over his dress. (His wizard’s robe had jam stains, so he was in fact wearing his mother's dress. He figured no one would notice, which they may not have, except he happened to be wearing it wrong-side out. But that’s another story.) Long story short, Little Bobby trips over the hemline, the spell goes awry, and the treasure chests come to life—but only roam the countryside.

I’m sure Little Bobby will get quite a lecture, but in the meantime, perhaps the good citizens of Aden will help clear out this little infestation problem we’re having…?

Join us on the Depardieu, Ken Rauhel, and Lands of Aden servers for the Dangerous Majicks Event Week! Living treasure chests will spawn throughout the mainland regions of Aden with goodies inside—but be wary, the chests do tend to bite back! The event will commence with the weekly maintenance period on Wednesday, July 2nd at 10:00 AM CDT and will end with the regular weekly maintenance period on Wednesday, July 9th.

I think my IQ just went down from reading that... Now I thought the previous installments of this story were bad but this one just takes the cake. NC Austin Do you have a 4 year old writing your stories, is that supposed to be funny. I give you guys props for having story behind this kill the foozle event but honestly, maybe you shouldn't have made the story. Guess we'll all be hunting uberdropping mimics for a while.

I am going to have to agree with #9, this story couldn't have been more poorly written if you handed a pencil and paper to a chimp. Of course, we all know the Great American Novel can be written by 100 chimps with 100 typewriters, given a long enough time line...

Anyway, there has got to have been a better way to deliver this event information. Again in agreement, having a story to "announce" an event is very nice, but being led up to it for 3 days with something, that my 6 year old niece would even consider trite, is a bit agonizing.

My only concern for this event is that Mimiks don't exactly give off great drops and there is nothing stated in the event posting that they will drop more or even better "goodies". If I see one, I'll destroy it, but I don't think I am going to go out of my way to spawn camp them.

Bobo the babo mage hehe. Reminds me of the sorcerer's apprentice a little bit. But it is nice to know everybody makes fun of the male mage's getup.

Ok, im usually one of those people that defends NC against so many others who do nothing but rip on them...but in this case...I just cant. That story is so incredibly bad that words cant even describe it. So in this case, ill jump sides and say... What the hell?

Oh well, the drops were good from the chests on test server...and if that carrys over to live servers, thats all that matters. :)

NC intend to insult the great wizards of Aden, therefor i reveal the true storyline behind the time of Majicks horror.

The major of Aden stated a order that the public shouldn't be aware of the truth behind the fortcomming changes in the world of Aden for any means, even good or worse.

To be able to hide the sacret reason of the revealed treat against man kind, the greedy major N'ci son of the King of Aden, framed the young apprentice wizard named Robert the Magnificent. Rules of these times don't look too bright for the further existence of our mage Bobo, therefor he choose exil until proven innocent.

Unfortunatly all honest humans there is still left within Adens goverment who knew of the truth why the time of Majicks horror soon will be upon us, they all fall victims to the greed who have plauged the humans since ancient history. They all one by one got consumed by the treasure chests who swallowed them whole with a single cast of eruption.
Also the major himself have vanished without any trace, have he recieved a punishment that he did deserve for tretsery or is it more to this story?
It's common knowledge that the major is a great hunter and it would take more then a few chests of Mimics to take him down.

The immortal elves in the west have sensed something unnatural is about to happen.

Meanwhile the mage Bobo in the cover of darkness have begun his quest to restore his soul from guilt.

The rumors speak about great prizes within these chests of Mimics, but our mage Bobo is searching for the treasure who control all the droping treasures, namely the truth.

Whatever you like it or not, you are bound to help him complete his quest.
Becoz we're all affected by the time of Majicks horror, and not even the greatest wizard of Seers can tell how it's gonna end.

Is it me who cannot write or is it infact you that lack the ability to read, consider that good Yoshiki.

Remember that blank scrolls are written by mages.

Actually, Tissot, you have a couple of grammatical errors. The story in itself is fine, but if you want to say that someone can't read when, in fact, your story is filled with typos is just wrong. Either way, I'd have to agree with #9 as well. The story behind the whole mimic treasure boxes started of rather well but ended rather abruptly with the most run on sentences I've read in a while. The art of using parantheses in story-telling is something they need more practice with. Tissot, before you go insane with flames, please note that I am only trying to help you out:

Unfortunatly all honest humans there is still left within Adens goverment who knew of the truth why the time of Majicks horror soon will be upon us, they all fall victims to the greed who have plauged the humans since ancient history.

Unfortunately, all the "honest" humans that are still left within Aden's government -those who knew of the time of Majick's horrors- [italicize] they [end italization] are the ones who fall victim to the plague of greed... a plague which has been with them since the dawn of history. ;)
