Level 45 Quest - Mage

Lineage Playforum detailed (http://community.playforum.net:8080/bbs/prog/column?action=read&iid=10051004&kid=3642) the Level 45 Mage Quest on Test Server.

The prizes from this are a Mana Cloak (AC -2, Mage Only, Material: Cloth, Weight: 10). According to one mage, with Crystal Staff, Ancient Robe, Potion of Mana, Meditation and the Mana Cloak, they could regen at a rate of +55 MP per tick. It was not specified what WIS this mage was or if he was in the inn. If this was done on a WIS 18 Mage not in the inn, that would mean +17 MP per tick from the Cloak alone.

Standing still and heal people is the only thing those items r good at.

Most high level mages have full mana all the time while hunting, so why sacrifice the little protection we got for a few more weak cast of attacks spells.

I still havnt done the lvl 15 nor lvl 30 quest in protest, so why tease me with this new item unless you are all against me in a secret conspiricy.

that quest is b.s.,i had to pay 150k for cancel,then 100k for the crystal just to do the other quest to get my csom,now i have to pay another 150k for cancel again?whats up with that,this should be called an adena quest.lol nc stop making us mages pay so much for our quest's b.t.w. my csom works really good with my dogs,i never run out of mp..and my dogs work great they are higher lvl than my summons would be so i use them instead ...(or untill i can afford summon)...hehe

You won't be paying 150K for Cancel, but rather 200K or more. The price of SB Cancel is going to jump up because every lvl 45+ mage will need to buy another copy of it. Buy now before the price jumps up.

The price can only jump so far before people just hunt it themselves. No one likes to have price-gougers take advantage of them.

People STILL complaining?!?! OMG!!!
All mage quest items own!!! ^.^
I completed lvl 15 n 30 quest n I love Int Shield & CSOM.... and this new Cloak also looks very yummie!!!!
Too bad I won't regain 55 mp/tic, since I never have mana pots T.T

And for people that have any doubts...
I rather have mp regain, then +100 hp -.- (just use g-h^^)
I rather have mp regain and -2 AC then just -3 AC (cop) DUH! -.-
I rather have mp regain then potions that give you mp (like Diablo) since those potions will cost (lotta) money^^

It sounds nice.
For me csom is useless, but IntShield is good. with 20 int u heal a lot and tissot dont forget that turn undead works better with more int

my question is an important one. do we have to kill the normal dop or the new ones ? n do we have to solo or can summons / doggies help . makes all difference cos if solo may b hard than sum think.

new doppels r easy to kill
they walk so slow
so once u feed it a pot of eva
run back your distance and use magic to kill it or bring yourself a bow or melee if have a good weapon
or to make it even easier
cast slow on the doppel hehe

This item dont look really good, it has less ac than cop and you probably wont be able to have to the same + because it will be more expensive.
The mp regen of 55 has been obtained with thing that most people dont have, like ancient robe and they probably used it while standing still, so it makes the regen 2 time more often.
Although, it might be interesting for sieges where you cant use som, where i think it is the only place i will use it.

This Mana Cloak is basically what I submitted for the LoA Item Contest. It looks like we will get it after all. (#30, the Staff of Mana is back in the game on the LoA server.)

i think malakar means you cant use the cloak to regen while in COI. a lot of mages will put on COI and regen during hunts. this cloak obviously wont help in that situation.

Man, it's a nice item and all... but i want some other type of bonus instead of +mp regen rate...... such as + int or +wis... or +sp... something cool... no more +mp regen........ but it's better than nothing so i can't complain.

it s only 1 base ac, but for the price of a +4 mana cloak you could probably afford to have a +5cop and more adena, and this makes 2 ac, but maybe it s still not that bad, would have to try it to know if it matters much

I am an int/wis mage, and I hunt with magic, so anything that can help me get more MP regen is welcome. Ancient robe is waaaaay to expensive for me (buy 1 for 100 dollars! j/k, but I spend my time making money real like, not in game).

No it doesn't!

Turn undead spell has nothing to do with spell power.
The value of your Magic Spell Bonus is the cause of success or failure when cast.

Believe me how i do have tested it over and over, oh god how i have tested!

I dont feel sorry for a mage that ends if he use mage cloak or cloak of protection. If he had used COMR instead he would always have more then 1hp.

That sentence pretty much say it all, COMR is the best cloak in game!

The mana cloak is ok, i see its best for seiges and just mid hunt regens. I use csom now for seiges and it works great. with csom, manacloak, wiz amy, meditation, and blue would make mid hunt regen time reduced. Nice going nc. Doring noral hunting i roll with my +5coi. best cloak for mages when its time to vanish^^ cop is ok but the extra ac dont really mean much so whats the point.

I don't have a mage, but 150k for Cancel!!!! I wish I sold mine to you LMAO!!! I found about 5 already! I just hunt Beholders, although I have to admit you probably get a Cancel SB every 70 or so Beholders killed - rough approximation!
But I suppose that killing Beholders would be easier with 3 or 4 summons, as opposed to Silver Arrows and a cursed lvl 15 dobberman!(Cursed I say, because the damn dog dies everytime I take it out to hunt LoL! Yea! Yea! I know its my fault :p)
One more thing, I am sure Tissot knows what he is talking about with Turn Undead because when I am not hunting in Heine area, I roam the good ol' home town, Oren, well OWL to be exact, and he is usually there in his damned Bapho morph!
