That... look... sweet. Gorgeous artwork. I sure hope they're high rez like that. Those first two gate looking things may be for sieges or something.. sorta like Iron Gate Guild. I wonder if they'll be calling them Drows... saying that your char is a Dark Elf would be rather odd.

they seems to be Dark Elf building, like houses on Drow Underground City in BALDURS GATE II

Well in lineage 2 the Dark elves live in the sky! So maybe these are the sky buildings of the elves that strayed from the path of the light.

the most logic place for a drow city is lowest level of a dungeon, maybe Giran Caves? lots of DE there...
anyways, the question remains...if new class are dark elves,what about dark elf mob?

Well, I am thinking that perhaps the sky city has to be sitting on top of a land mass of some kind that floats in the air. We saw that one pic of the knight crossing the bridge, right? So, if these house belong to the new class, could it be conceivable that they dwell within the lower parts of the floating land mass that supports the city above? Or perhaps there is no city persae on top of the land mass and it is just filled with monsters and what not and the city is "underground".

I must say, these buildings are simply gorgeous. Well done!

i'm pretty sure that the new class IS dark elf.....a while back i remember reading the translated class description, and it hints strongly that the new class is a dark elf. plus, did you see the sprite of the "female chief"? she looked alot like a dark elf... i'm assuming dark elves would have a chief... about the DE mop...in the class description, it says that these were the ones that realized what was going on in the world, and that they should do something about it. they were "shunned" by there kin for this, that they are viewed as traitors. it also says that the shunned ones live a life teetering on the border of light and darkness. somehow i don't think this describes a thief class...or any other non-dark elf class for that matter.

those buildings look awesome. if they were for dark elves, though, NC would have to spice up the current elven forest....the current EF sucks...just a couple of huts with a few shrubs and one huge tree......bleh. i think they should make EF look like Lothlorien from LOTR...that would be sweet. lineage needs some more eye candy.

#19 what do you find between darkness and light? Shadow. What type of character would live their lives in shadow? Thieves, rogues, assassins, ninja. Additionally NC stated at one point a few months ago that the new class would have an impact on sieging, which leads me to believe that Dark Elf or as I like to call them Shadow Elf is an assassin/ninja type class. If they aren't assassins/ninja what other character types do you think the clues we've gotten could mean?

is there such a thing as a shadow elf? o_O

those are definitely elven buildings... but doesn't mean it IS nor does it mean the new class are dark elves. new class might be theives/assasins though since they can use 2 swords. NC has stated long ago that they would make 2 new classes, engineers and theives, but was later dropped. they might've revived theives though.

n e wayz if there are dark elf chars, i'd like to see NC make a Dwarvish char instead of the engineers.

I hate Drow city in Baldur's Gate 2...

I changed all my armor for their stuff (because of the AC), then get out of the city, sunlight touches my armor and... pooof!! all gone T_T

Had to do so much over again, because of that!!! o_O

IF NC ever puts guns in the game, ill personally fly to seoul and Austin and give them a good shin kicking ^_^

There is something strange about those buildings...if you look closely parts of them seem to be built from the bow of boats...then the taller parts look like masts and if anything the wavy material looks like sails! what if they made a sailor class....>.< Ill sell my +9 Fishing rod 5a!! I think they need to add more water to lineage....the kingdom of eva suck...mages cant hunt there..everything is to strong and we can bring summons! So we need a water based class and a better underwater/water based hunting spot!

Those look alot like dark elf buildings. When i first saw them it looked like elven houses but then it hit me they do look like boats and i thought i be the first to say but Arq_dude did it first. Dark elves would equal theives/assasins. Dark elves would be totally different from surface Elves. Dark elves will be the dual weilders and theives and rely on agility. Surface Elves are bow and sword-sheild. then of course is the dark elven magic which is gonna be a surprise from NC.

All the arrows are pointing toward dark elves but NC might surprises us and go the opposite direction.

#32 good suggestion, creating a bandit/pirate class would be interesting. But what features would they add to the game, for that matter, what abilities do Dark Elfs add to the game that we do not already have with elfs?

#30 what about guns? if u take a look on AD&D 3rd edition, u will see plasma lasers, hand grenades and STEYR AUG O.o
there are fireworks in game... fire weapons do use same ingredients,so
its possible to get guns on Lineage (its my suggestion)

There are so much more that could come from a dark elf race. Dark elves can be the elves that use more offensive magic and or curses with their magic. They use two weapons at the same time which would do more damage but they have to use light weight armor. If you want to use a bow they use light crossbows which be dipped in posions and much faster then a surface elf with their bows but less damage.

Thats D&D drows, but NC can still make them the evil race that uses stealth and evil attacks like chaotic spells and posions. When ppl say we already have elves why need dark elves? well u just say that thinking dark elves will be the same when they are the opposite of elves we already have. its the same with a knight and a mage they're both human right? though it would be great to be a dark elf, a dwarf class would be cool. Maybe NC can actually follow up on their theif and engineer idea dark elves=theives engineers=dwarfs.

ok if they add guns it will suck. it will take away from the "mistical middeval aspect of the game. one of the things that makes linieage so good is the fact that it is sortove knites in shining armor and magic, castles and such adding tecknology of that king would well suck
