3/7 - Test Server *possible* Wipe

The US Lineage test server is tentatively scheduled to be ‘wiped’ on Friday, March 7th. This wipe of character data will occur ONLY on the US Test Server. The wipe of character data will erase all characters that exist on the US Test Server.

Please note: the decision to wipe the test server will be dependent on testing of the Alliance system and the quality of feedback and participation in that testing. Testing feedback may be posted on the Lineage “In Testing” message board or submitted to support@lineage.com using the following template:

Additionally, it has come to our attention that there is a current trend toward disruptive behavior on the test server including: interfering with both NC staff testers and players helping to test, excessive spamming on the chat channel, spamming the testing staff with whispers and trade messages, etc. The US Lineage test server is subject to the same rules and regulations as main servers, and continued disruptive behavior may result in account suspensions.

Those chat spamming occurs on live servers too... cept LoA o.o..

They should just close down the Test server. No one really tests anything, its out of the test period once it gets to NC Austin. If a test server was really needed it would be an LOA test server.

Lets see if they can level up faster than that first lvl 50 on LoA did.
It should be easier right? It has double the drops of all the servers doesn't it?

many aren't really encouraged to lvl on test to lvl 50+
but if they wanted
I say they can reach lvl 50 in 3 weeks
would be a lineage record on US servers

i doubt any could get 50 in 3 weeks any where (us servers). Even though test has better drops and ppl have items dont mean anything. The new lvl 50 on test had a +9 or +10 tsu and a dk set with infinite amount of money and it took him 3 months to lvl up, and he plays 9-10 hours which is quiet alot.
i want wipe myself but if they dont wipe i will still continue to play test. wipe would just bring more fun and life back to test.

last test wipe was October 12, so 10/12/02 to 3/7/03 is a little less than 5 months. no one could get lvl 50 in 3 weeks, but 3 months easily if they really wanted to. i got lvl 49 this test in like 1 - 2 1/2 months i dont remember cuz i got banned and havent played in a good while. hope everyone has fun with the wipe event, that always softens the blow of wiping ; unless your that lvl 50 guy, but im sure he had fun cuz he knew it was gonna happen sometime anyway.
only thing i dont understand is, whats with the title "*possible* wipe"? is it a wipe or not?

"possible wipe" = it's a tentative date right now. If QA doesn't get the testing done that they want to cover between now and then, it may be delayed.

I'll post another news item next week confirming or moving the date. :)

Nope - that hasn't changed. We'll be testing some other content that should be arriving from Seoul tonight (we'll have more details on that later) and we're still doing some behind-the-scenes testing on a few other things. I'll still put out an announcement next week to confirm or change the wipe date. :)

I've seen some reports from korea that said some people can do lvl 5 to lvl 52 in 40-43 days. I think they use helper mages/elves and play literally non-stop.

bah, I think I could level to 50 in about 3 weeks from scratch.. at least with the old test server rules (no pot delay, and same-style drops.. I've heard tqd is way more expensive now).

The key to getting level 50 quickly isn't to just ignore everyone and hunt. It's important to have *very* good friends; friends that you can trust large amounts of money with. They take the monotony out of hunting, and help with PK's. On top of that, they are the trick to "power-leveling" your way up. The main advantage to having good friends is that you can concentrate on hunting, while they get your items. Not to mention, if you have really close friends, whenever they overzel something they will sell the item to you. (In particular pgs, and epm.. yes efirps you're still crazy)

Another great thing about good friends is that they get to play mollymaid with all the items you throw down in the house ^^;.

As far as a basic leveling to 50 guide goes..

1st Priority: Get basic AC/Weapon for the low levels. Head to FV as soon as possible. Lower firevalley/The beach is my favorite spot since it has tons of eggs, archers, and firegolems.
2nd Priority: Save for a BIG house. Auctions close something like a week after a wipe. A house is the most important investment you can make since it cuts out ALL of the time to sell drops. This is why friends come in handy, since they can make a prince and let you join. If you have the chance buy the house right below the Giran zel shop ^^. While you're saving up around 3m, you should be leveling to 49.
3rd and Final Priority: Obtain a +7 Tsurugi, PG's, and decent ac.

After you have all that out of the way, it's a matter of chopping your way to 50 for around 10-16 hours a day. It doesn't take much to level to 50, just time. It's around 2 hours and 10 minutes for each percent with a +9 Tsurugi and a relatively low firevalley population. Playing at school and any other time you get helps a little.

Also, the more STR the better if you ask me. STR knights rule :)

Additional:
Yes I know most people don't have 10+ hours a day to waste on a game, and that most of you feel it's a waste of time to do on test. Don't reply with crap like that.

Yes, amateras. Having a good mage friend is very helpful. Efirps ("Explicit") used to follow me around sometimes and full enchant me, which extends your hunts ^^.

If u ask me i really think Con knight rUlesZ~ In fights in might not be able to hurt as much but considering the fact that people usually camp bosses having more HP is a great advantage. I personalyl use a con knight which has 640 HP at lvl 49 on test. I don't lose much fights and for camping boss I never worried about any criticle hit from bosses such as Phoneix etc. Having enough HP would give u the time to teleporte. One time when i had full hp at 640 phonexi hit me once and phoneix took 1 criticle hit on me. From 640 i went down to 80. Luckily i teleported away. If it was a strength knight in this situation it would have died already, but if ur only plan to fight and lvlv strength knight is much faster.
