Light - Level 70 Knight

Lineage Playforum (http://community.playforum.net:8080/bbs/prog/column?action=read&iid=10051003&kid=1861) reports that Light (the second highest level player in Lineage in the world) has reached level 70. (It took 5 months to get from 65 to 70).

Light plays on Arain server in Korea. When we last saw him at level 65 in September, he had 864 HP (now 965 HP), 56 MP (now 60 MP), STR 24 with Power Gloves and STR amulet (now STR 25 with nothing) and AC -83 (now AC -97).

Light says that gaining experience has made levelling very hard since level 65. It took him 9 hours of DVC hunting to get 1% (since level 65).

He invested in STR, DEX and CON with his level up bonuses, but he didn't notice a big increase in his ability to hunt with CON. In fact, he even said he regretted putting points in CON. He commented that he is sure that Poseidon feels the same way about his CON points. He was hoping there would be some update in the future which would increase the purpose of CON, but so far nothing. Since his STR is maxed out (you cannot get your base stat points past 25, you would need items to get higher), he has been dismissing the window which asks him which stat to add to without making a decision (it comes up every time you log in, if you don't pick).

Playforum asked him if he had any advice to level 51+ knights about what stat to pick and he answered definitively, STR. He says DEX is good, it increases your AC and all, but STR should be first, then DEX. (I suppose you can plan that way if you plan to get to level 70 ^^) He pointed out that DEX knights hurt him much less than STR knights.

I think he may be exaggerating about how long it takes for him to gain 1%. If 500% (5 levels) took 5 months, that's 150 days for 500% or 3.3% per day. 3.3% per day if every 1% took 9 hours is 30 hours. Which is not possible ;)

Hmmm Let me do some math:

It took him 5 months to go up 5 lvls. 1 lvl per month.
It takes him 9hrs to get 1% at dvc.

That mean's it takes him about 900 hours to get 100%.
There is 720 hours in a month.
This mean he has to hunt 30 hours a day to get his ~3%.

Where did I do my math wrong? Even if lower the estimate to say 8% per hour he still has to lvl 24hrs straight for 30 CONSECUTIVE days. Can you say Account sharing? How does NC not see this?

If you think NC doesn't see the account sharing and buying items etc in the u.s. you got nothing to complain. There is no amount of evidence you can provide for them to satify their "standard".

At least the cheaters will sleep soundly now that NC will never catch up to them and ban them for their transgression.

theclanx: Maybe he's just exaggerating about how long it takes him in DVC.. Your numbers (as mine are in #8) are based on a single assumption which is just something he said. He never said he hunted in DVC or where he hunted.

Account sharing is wrong, but let's not turn it into the Red Scare.

It's obvious that there isnt 30 hours in day. I was trying to prove my point.

To your argument that he could of been 65.99. I find this hard to believe. If you hit quote lvl 65 which is the next toughest barrier to hit after lvl 52, I doubt very much that he announced his accomplishment at 65.99. ... more like 65.01.

Even if we HALVED the estimate to say 4.5hrs per 1%. It would take him almost 15hrs a day for 30 consecutive DAYS for 5 MONTHS in a row.

Am I the only ignorant player here? I'm not accusing all high lvl as a account sharer as I will be 50 within two weeks. But how can anyone not see the abnormality of LIGHT's accomplishment?

I also heard account sharing is not a violation of TOA in Korean. If this is true why is it against TOA in US. Because they are on a monthly subscription basis?

How come his tsu isn't blessed?
I'm surprised they dont use tower shields there since everything else they use has a max enchat lvl of 4. Usually they dont use stuff that can be plussed to 6 because its harder to get as much ac out of it without it blowing, but they all still use e-s for some reason...

+17 dex bonus +1 sheild spell +10kv +10ts apm +10cop +11ig +10b-es +10ib...equals up to -97 oh yeah in the last interview he said he only uses normal sheild spell so thats where i got that +1 sheild

I don't think 15 hours a day is unreasonable in Korea. It's a different culture.. I mean, I easily spend 16-18 hours a day in front of a computer (not playing Lineage). What if he has been unemployed or is rich and doesn't need to work?

People in Korea play in cyber cafes with friends, it's not like he's sitting in a room with padded walls devoid of any contact with humans. Even the in game characters are real people. You don't think that of the 2 million people who play in Korea, a handful could get so into it they spend 16+ hours a day playing?

-86 base, nevertheless is freaking awesome

(not to you 22) and yeah they are allowed to share (i think) so why belittle the accomplishment? even if its played 24/7 level 70? damn that is some kind of dedication

does anyone know if you can actually get more than -100ac or 1000hp? i guess we will be finding out soon ---two more levels for this one...poseidon probably there already

he has -89ac in items alone and -1ac spell(i would use iskin)

that means his base ac w/o item is -7

The article says that the hardest time for him was when he reached level 65, because there was no forgotten Island. It took him more than 9 hours of DVC hunting to get 1%. He temporarily quit leveling and went playing until FI came out.

And they are actually married couple.

Well, since I'm Korean, I read that news in PlayForum and it says Han Byul is Light's wife, and they are running the cyber-cafe (which means, they can power lvl for long time in their own working place)

if what KnightFyen is saying is true (and i don't doubt it a bit) then that also explains why he is at his computer so much, and how he has the time to play. he probably has hired people to do most of the work for him, so he can "maintain" his store by sitting there all day playing lineage and making money irl ;)

I think dvc is just a reference point. Clearly he is not hunting dvc anymore. Matter of fact I saw a screenshot of him with his wife hunting TOI floor 6th++. They were fighting lesser demons. I am thinking he also does FI with his wife. But FI and TOI are new additions.

and you play games, it would still be a waste of time. Wasting an hour isn't much difference then 18. you still goin to regret it when you get older too then

actually..hes already accomplished so much. 2nd highest level (in fact, I think he's level up faster than poseidon..but thats just a guess) and sooooooo many ppl know him..or, know of him. He owns his own business and his job provides all the spare time he wants. So..wat regrets?

hehe..but, i wouldn't know cuz i'm not him and i got no proof...so, watever. o.O

BTW... WTF in T.O. does one pay 25cents and hour? I usually have to pay $3 an hour, but I play at a friend's cafe so I get discounts, but still.. 25 cents!!!!!! Tell me where!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't care if they play CS... coz I will TOO! Lineage is fun but I can only spend about 3-4 hours of playing it at a time, and I don't necessarily hunt during those 4 hours!

Alright his ac without dex bonus and shield spell is -79(he has 18 dex and is level 70 that is a bonus of -17). Therefore all his items are +10 except two, which are +11, and his APM assuming of course he has all +10 and +11 items. Those are some crazy ass items.

ac,wep,armor enchants are capped at +127
base hp capped at 1000,but can use belt,ammy,ring to get higher
base mp capped at 600......Oo;;;

I think those are the current caps.............

owning a net cafe is so good,but costly to start, and kinda competitive mowadays since there are so many of them out there.

being an owner s awsome, u have a whole room of players on ur side, when some1 gets pked, call every1 over nad beat the crap out of them~lol
he probably lets some1 touch his mouse and keyboard while he's in the washroom,
not accusing his acc sharing,but just letting a frd click a few. no harm in that=]

there's no good reason to set hard caps on hp/mp when there's already soft caps on levels and hp/mp gain and even hp/mp gambling. so either nc made a stupid decision or the hp/mp hard cap is probably either 32767 or 65536, and if it were possible to get ur hp/mp there, it might wrap around after that too
