Depardieu Player Spotlight: Flippagea

In the close of the .77 server many old players left for good. Others traveled over to the Depardieu server in search for more fun, more friends, more sieges, and just plain more opportunities. During this time a new mage hit the scene, this mage is Flippagea, a man with a past a mile long. He hails from Dallas, Texas and prefers boxers to briefs, because briefs leave no room for movement.

At one time this mage was thought to be a girl, and enjoyed many perks such as free items and money. However, he wishes that he’d never lied, but you live, you learn right? This seventeen year old senior says that he plans to get to level 50 or higher with his level 47 18 constitution 18 wisdom 15 intelligence and 8 dexterity mage.

His favorite spot in Lineage is Giran square where he can chat it up with his friends like Kuty and EdgyAsHell, and says his favorite monster is the King Bug Bears that he hopes to summon shortly. While he loves the idea of magic and mages in all role playing games, he likes the siege and potion system in Lineage. But what really does it for him are the amazing graphics.

This single guy, who enjoys strip bowling, says that any newbie starting the game should stop, delete their mage, and make an elf until they get used to the game. Mages are the hardest class to play and can be very frustrating to a new player, “Learn from my mistake!” Besides, we all know the real reason to make a mage, to heal KuTy!

Mages are easier than Prince/ss, but most people don't consider Prince/ss a class anymore. Maybe spotlights should be done on more deserving people...

actually, mages are much harder than princes, IMHO. prince/ss is harder than a knight or an elf, sure, but they are much easier than a mage. any prince is pretty easy to level if u know how to, and especially if you are an 18con prince (like me). Con prince/ss's have *slightly* higher hp than most con elves (mine does anyway), can use cool magic at half cost at like lvl 4 because of hom's(as soon as they have enough mp...mine could str himself at like lvl 8), they have decent armor, (2/3 soft AC instead of the mages horrible 2/5 AC) and not much ppl know this but they are extremely fast with a spear for some reason (male prince is anyway, u can even check the speed charts, or try it yourself, it's true). also even if u haven't put any points into dex (so base dex is 10), when they're in scout morph, have a dex bow, dex ammy, and sovereign's majesty cloak, they have 18dex, and even though they don't have the damage bonus to bow or a yumi like an elf, they still hit pretty hard. i'm not trying to brag or sound like those ppl that say "oh, i leveled my elf to 48 in 3 days!!", but when my prince was only lvl 25, with mediocre/crappy ac (-44), and a +6elven spear, he could solo dv almost no problem (cockatrice was still pretty hard, but if u stay with skels, u lvl real quick). OWL also works very well, as long as you are morphed.

Mages on the other hand, have horrible hp (even at 18 con. a 10con prince has more hp than an 18con mage!! it's horrible!), nerfed spells (they used to be godly, but now they suck), can go chaotic in a heartbeat because of spells like para (which was their only means of defense in pvp), bad armor sets, and on top of that they have the worst of all classes in soft AC (2/5). oh yeah, and now gelatinous cubes are out, which almost entirely takes away any sort of usefulness of summon. i mean, c'mon, elves can tame them too!! what a crock!! it sucks because mages SHOULD be very powerful....but they aren't. mages are decent hunters, and that's almost the only use for them now.

No way is a mage harder than a prince, if nothing else just think of what the other classes have compared to a prince. Prince cant hit hard, cant use a bow well, they shoot to stinking slow, cant even use magic, 2nd lvl spells and helms. Oh goody. Oh ya, and their hp sucks no matter what. Besides, mages suck anyhow.

prince can hit decently hard, have u ever tried it? just use the str spell (which they can use.....at like lvl 5 AND for half cost) and equip a katana. yea, they don't hit as hard or as fast as a knight. but they hit harder than mages or elves do. or equip them with an elven spear, seriously, with a spear they are faster than a haste-only sword wielding knight, and are almost as fast as an sword using elf. Yea, out of morph with a bow, they are much slower than elves (but still much faster than a knight or a mage using a bow), BUT, that's where the orc scout morph comes in. put anything in scout morph and they'll shoot at the same speed (granted, with the exception of a brave or wafer).

I never said prince was AWESOME. they are decent, and are much stronger than ppl make them out to be. and it is in my experience that mage is much harder than prince :)

my prince can hunt OWL for an hour and a half or more using only about 5 oranges, and he isn't even high level at all...actually my acc isn't active as of right now, and he's only lvl 27. the reason i can do this is because when i hunt on him i go solo in scout morph (in OWL) with an o.k. bow, silver arrows and the dex spell (i use +6e-eb, could be better, but it mows down oren mop for some reason; I can easily kill generals without running away before they get to me). if the mop gets close, just run back a little ways and keep shooting. and i have a whole lot more hp than a mage of my level (280-290hp at lvl 27 with no belt or ammy, 18con).

most people would say mage is easier, but from what i've played, prince is a heckuva lot easier than mage as it is now. and i have played both. i gave up on my mage and deleted it. mage is still a good class, it's just very difficult. i just think prince is easier to level.
