Aden Siege - 2/23

Well, the first Aden siege is over and Ken was killed on Ken and Dep (Ken Rauhel prevailed on LoA). On Ken, Cerenis was killed early on, but Ken Rauhel lasted 1 hour and 4 minutes. Dep finished off Ken Rauhel about 20 minutes faster. Quite a few people were healing and hasting Ken Rauhel on both servers and almost any knight who got close enough to engage Ken Rauhel had to deal with more damage being dealt by other siege participants than Ken Rauhel himself.

I personally didn't expect anyone to win since there were so many people just screwing around and harassing others, but fortunately the efforts of those who were trying to do the right thing were rewarded :) (As an example, LordBalroq lost over 200% fighting Ken Rauhel - what a waste of time that would have been if the healing and hasting resulted in Ken Rauhel prevailing at the end!)

In the Aden siege, the siege ends immediately upon the death of Ken Rauhel (no defending) and the server announces the person responsible for killing Ken Rauhel. It is unclear if the winner is the one that deals the most damage or the one that deals the death blow. Regardless, on Ken server it was DEMONIAN of WestKnights and on Dep server it was BaekHo of 4EverGF.

There was also a theory that if you didn't declare, then none of your members could injure Ken Rauhel. However, some people sent me emails showing that they actually gained experience from Ken Rauhel's death, even though their pledge did not declare. So, perhaps that's not true.

On Ken server, neither Cerenis nor Ken Rauhel dropped any Armor Set items (or so they say! o.o) Perhaps those items are not implemented yet (or people are keeping it a secret for some reason)

It was a fun siege. Congrats to WK, the siege would have been over alot sooner if people weren't healing/hasting Ken though.

idea: make mops and bosses untargetable by specific spells completely, with the exception of undead (for heal - attack purposes)

Wow. Looks like fun. I hate I missed it... I think NC should do something about people being able to heal & haste Ken & Kerenis. That should fall in to the category of grief play... Some moron who prolly doesn't even have a pledge just trying to make it difficult for everyone else. I'd like to find out who these people are and PK them back to lvl5 where they can't use those spells... =)

It's not grief play, it's a strategy. If the siege ends on Ken's death then you should do everything you can to make sure it's YOUR pledge who gets that hit.

how can u even get close to ken if he is surrounded by other knights?
thats why they need to buy some time by healing + hasting, so ken could finish off the ppl arround him and that makes spaces for the people who wants to get close to ken & end him

Umm, I could have sworn it didnt matter who got the last hit. Except for drops maybe. i thought the object was to do the most damage to ken.??? If so, the morons who were watering him were letting the people hitting him do more damage, therefore letting their pledge have a greater chance of taking the castle...........

Why do people assume Silent healed and hasted Ken just cuz Sonar said that. There were many people hasting/watering Ken before Sonar ever said anything. As usual if someone has a different view or strategy from you people, you think he is wrong or bad. Nice job getting the last hit in. Now hold it.

Congratz WK.

If it was who did most damage overall i think WK and Marak had good chances, as both had many elves, and i don't think most damage overall will come just from 8 knights around him, that might be single person most damage, but not pledge overall.

But i think its about who do the last hit, why i say that? Becouse DEMONIAN wasn't one of the knights who standed beating the hell of it for too long, and he don't have DK morph. If the killer was who did more damage i think Marak or DD would get it, as they had more knights on it for longer.

If its all about the last hit then WK was really luck. Just before Ken end, someone had to run and it chased him down, and he walked out of the tower area and Ken teled back, when he teled he ended out of the Tower to the south, where most WK members were and no Marak ppl, just a few DD, so WK had Ken alone for them on the last few seconds of Ken life... How lucky, hehe.

Vassago, because most of the accusations of account sharing are fueled by jealousy and are a witch hunt. What am I supposed to do, write up an article about who people "tell me" are account sharers just pulling facts out of my behind? I don't like account sharers (I've posted my opinion on Templar Gaming and lineage.com many many times), I don't like people who buy items for real life money MUCH MORE, but without proof, there's nothing anyone can do about it.

You just want someone to take it out on. You wouldn't bother to read my other posts on this matter. You just want to be mad. I'm very disappointed.

You don't know what I've been doing behind the scenes on this issue. You don't know the arguments I've had with LC staff about this. You don't know what you DON'T see on the spotlights or news. All you know is one side of the story. Heck, you don't even know what NC is doing behind the scenes. Must every little thing I do be posted on this page for the world to see?

If you want to boycott this page because you think I support account sharing when it's just a mistaken assumption on your part, I can't stop you. But you're making a big mistake.

I had a great strat, Kill the people hasting/Healing Ken, it worked good i got 1.5% in the siege, lost none, and many lost lots of %. Sorry Teddy, couldnt water you fast enough. Bushido + Nomercy = You Die Lots!!!!

I never saw your posts on Templar no, I've been in quite a few fights there myself, and from them I'm sure you see my history of getting angry yes.. :/

As I said, its hard, let me rephrase that to impossible, for you to be the judge of these things.. It's just that some people do openly admit it many many times, and it's known by many that they do, not believed, but known.
I just get so mad when these guys get positive interviews and the glory they always wanted on a great page as yours. I don't know f you understand what I'm saying, and I'm not trying to suggest that you could do anything different, it's just that seeing these people being glorified really gets to me, and by staying away from this site I wouldn't be exposed to it.

I said I hate you for it and that's not true, not at all, I hate NC for it, a lot. And I hate all the other players defending the sharers.

Just know though, that just advertising the INTENT to share accounts is a bannable offense according the the Rules of Conduct, so when people admit to sharing, that is proof enough.

And sorry for saying I hate you and suggesting that you could do something about the problem, I just got mad when I see you dissing the people healing NPC's (Which is about the only way I can fight the alliance, just understand that, I cant walk up to them and fight them, but I despise them and would do everything I could to cause their deaths or prevent them from getting further control over Dep.) and smiling over the fact that the alliance, which not very often tries to do the "right thing", got their last castle.

You run a good page and because of that you can of course not run your mouth off on over half of your users, but do know that not "most" (From people you can trust) accusations are untrue. From some people I bet there is nothing but jelousy causing it, but some people only speak up when there is proof.

And its ot like I would have skipped any posts you've made or ignored it Amer, I have simply not seen it, or do not remember seeing it.

So, again sorry. I hate the alliance, sharers and BaekHo beyond words, but thats not your problem. These things are however Lineages problems, people quit over these things.

Vassago, read my comment, #21. I definitely don't believe healing Ken with the strategic goal of hurting strong players is a bad thing.

I'm talking about casting area attack spells on random people with no clear distinction on which pledge they are in, getting into duels just to PK because you are repressed on Ken and killing my level 11 prince which was just trying to get a good screenshot! ("screwing around" as I tried to call it). I didn't make that clear in the original post, but it's hard to see what the intent of healing Ken was (strategy or just because you are trying to be annoying).

Don't worry, the fights of "Healing Ken is grief play and should be bannable" are just beginning, and I will be there with you calling it a strategy. :)

Good points, vass has an understandable anger, but he applies it too liberally to all :)

I healed Ken quite a few times, with the sole purpose of trying to keep the castle from the alliance hands (and to watch enhance go ugghh), all the while I was fighting other alliance members inside the castle grounds..

It was a fun siege, props to the alliance for blocking 1 gate (people just didn't understand it didn't take but 30 seconds to walk to another gate o.O) and for using a roving block outside ken's area to try to get rid of the people like me that were helping ken/cerenis... Good strats' on both..

Ken (with help) held out a good long time with the damage he was getting... a strike like this on a dragon would produce typical results Im sure..

Good job and can't wait until Ken tries to get revenge :)

Thursday will be the Aden Castle defences on Ken and Dep. There's a reasonable chance that Ken Rauhel, Cerrenis and Kurtz will attack in one of those two sieges. That would be a fun sight to see. Watch for a declaration by the Anti King pledge. LoA will get their second chance at taking Aden Castle on Thursday, we'll see if they can get organized this time. Test, Ken and Dep have shown it can be done.

1st, yep i said heal and haste ken, but its so easy for recamel to say it like thats the only reason.

whenever we got in close to ken we got cancel / para / attacked by DD and WK... Recamel is a fool is he think we just gonna say o well and hand the castle over to them..

BTW u guys would never had won if it wherent that DD and us made a deal to kill ken before eachother (we didnt know siege would end when ken died tho) and told our ppl to stop healing and hasting it.

DEMO isnt godlike just couz he made final blow on ken (btw amer i think its the final blow that wins).

WK did a good job, at least as good as we did.

I congratz them for it, but its not without the luck factor that they did it. For that matter, anyone who could won would need that factor playing on his side.

We did very well for a pledge who got dismissed 20m into the siege without beeing able to declare, rejoined, went for it, found out its hard to work a group well without the emblem, restarted, regrouped and went for it again. We lost a lot of time and damage on Ken due this.

Both, us and them fought well, our problems and the luck gave them the advantage, but it isn't that they can say they "own" it. I doubt they were sure they would win before it was really over. They said it on Templar, what is just normal, i doubt any pledge tought diferent.

Now on a diferent note: DD sucked bad. Hehe, i was hoping more from them as they own so much on giran sieges.

And Reca: that link u showed just make everyone sure its more about luck then anything. It says the winner will be chose AMONG the pledgeS who did most damage. That means it makes a list with all pledges who did good damage (probally to make sure someone who hit it just once wont win) and choose one.

Demo made the killing blow

in all honesty i'd say DD did the most damage
but heals kinda changed that o.o

and you can't say dep did it faster
20min less on Ken
but Ken actually ended cere first

u see it saying among the pledges doing the most damge to ken
u see the word "most" ?
yes that means that the PLEDGE who did most damge gets it

It can't mean that Reca, its not like from 26 pledges, like 6 big pledges, 2 would do the same damage and it would choose one.

If it put FROM, AMONG and PLEDGES doing MOST damage, it means that from 26 pledges sieging it and 6 big ones, the winner will be one of those 6 biggers.

Thats how it would read as if it was who did most damage: "The winning pledge will be the pledge who did the most damge to the pretender king"

So all those words i said would have to be left out.

That's all well and good Carol, but keep in mind that NC isn't the pinnacle of correct grammar and sentence structure. Anyone who has played the game for any length of time should know that. ;P Hell, they used to spell siege "seige"...

I agree with you Rince, so at the end we are left out without knowing what are the rules... Hit ken just "enough"? Hit "most"? Come at the end and try to do the "last"?

In all 3 ways you will need luck, unless its plain most damage and you did a lot more then everyone else.

Amer: I see you have your own ideas about account sharing, but deleted my comments in an earlier post. Perhaps you would like the proof of the account sharing done by certain DEP pledges for USD? Let me know and I will be glad to provide you with a series of Screenshots, pledge website posts, Instant message text and e-mails that are all verifiable. And then you can ask NC why, since they have copies of this evidence, don't do a thing about it. I believe this response is topical as it relates directly to a comment you made.

But do me one favor, once you see the proof, if you are convinced it is happening as we say, please make it a posted topic for open discussion.

On a seperate note, I died in seige twice and had a great time. I wish, however, there was a way to see inside the castle for those of us who could not get in like there is for DM. Perhaps while inside NC could silence all chat if you are in viewing mode so people could actually see seige without interfering.
