Lindvior

Lots of people have been sending in screenshots of their encounters with Lindvior. Here's a few stories which will hopefully give us some planning info on battling him. The basic facts are (1) he sits outside in the Scar of Lindvior and (2) he's passive. You have to hit him to get attacked :)

Ektay (Who provided the animation on the right) says that he did about 50HP damage on his level 46 elf with Resist Magic. Without Resist Magic, he would die in one hit - Lindvior delevelled him to 45. :)

Axo writes "He's relatively small size-wise compared to the other dragons. he's definitely the runt of the family. Lin uses a powerful lightning attack that either did 200 damage (5 times) or killed me meaning 240+ (4 times). so he does half health or full depending on which attack. One is a blue foggy breath which doesn't kill. the other is what resembles 4 call lightnings at the same time (illustrated in the SS). he's non aggressive which is odd. i am not quite sure as to why but so far he won't hurt you if you don't hurt him :P ...His "den" is easy to get to and the action of seeing his shadow and then him fall down was amazing.

Dias (Level 45, AC -51, MR 31%) whispered me in-game saying PRiM and Leggolas healed Dias while he 1:1 Lindvior for 27 minutes. He used 206 Counter Magic scrolls and 254 clears and saw Lindvior disappear into the air 6 times, but never ended up getting Lindvior low enough to die.

Test is a thing of the past
LOA is the new thing that replaces test
from what my korean friends tell me
their whole korean crew moved to LOA

I have a feeling Lind will fly up in the air everytime he is low on HP....
gonna be like anth....
except a weaker version....
and we can bring tamed mops and gather all around to prepare an attack....
without having the dragon eat us alive first.....

cool people actually being able to withstand his attack. but i really hope he is not like a griffon that flys up when its weak. what we gona do keep dropin pots on ground for the thing to run other and get. i have a feeling that he is gona get killed a lot on live servers then nc is gona turn him into another god like dragon in a few weeks

my guess is that he wont be impossible to kill, BUT he'll probably drop like Demon/IQ... just a little better, but for sure not as good as the rest of the dragons.

If Lind flies up when hes at low hp...i guess waht u have to drop is.....drop dead @_@ when all the lind hunters r dead he would come down n go like *giggles* "silly hunters" n eats all the corpse @_@

Heres how to bat him before he flies up.... Tame those Cube things. They have a chance of hittign 500 dmg right... @well about 10 of thsoe on him will do the work for you.

Wait until hes at full hp, then he can end some more ppl, let them get ressed again, then hide and regen when low hp.

No theres no way of getting anth up after he burrows
u hafta w8 after some certain time and it will pop back up~
and no it does not regen to full health~
it just regens alot but not full~~~

If lindivor keeps flying up~ and u cant get him down, ppl will resort to kill fafurion and valakas again since they wont fly anywhere and annoying the hell outta the dragon hunters

I'm not sure if I like the idea of a super harpy/griffon mop. Those mops annoy the tar out of me as it is. I mean, at least when Spartoi do it, you can detect them out of the ground, but the harpies and griffons have to be tempted with items to come down.

I don't know why arrows can't hit a target floating in the air. Is that a hard concept? I have an arrow that can hit things from across the screen, but for some reason I can' t seem to look up and shoot at the same time. In Lindvior's case, he flies off the screen, so he is too far away to be hit, perhaps. But a harpy and a griffon, they look like you could tickle their feet.

At any rate, I do look forward to walking idly by when the sky suddenly gets dark and then a big white dragon touches down. What an entrance!

hehe lindvior does more than 240+ try around 450+ hp hit with his magic attack......i got to witness some of the 1:1 that was going on while prim was there healing, but yes he hurts and CAN KILL YOU even if your not on the same screen as him if he does teh major magic attack.

Anyways have fun hunting him , ill join in as soon as i relvl from my first battles with him.

I think once ppl figure it out and tried stuff its gonna be somehow(not gonna say easy) not that hard to end him :)
A major bonus is the ability to used tamed pets as someone already posted.
(mean less dead knight, if he goes for summon/tamed instead)

-But offcourse once he end, NC gonna make him like 1000 times stronger

i have a few screenshots of lindivior but i dunno how to send it to LC. I got a shot of his lighting breathe(not the purple/blue gas thingy). two monitors went on test today, 1 in dk morph trying to end lindivor or just playing around, and another in caspa morph just rezin people.

NCSoft stated long ago that Lindvior would be passive, but everyone must've forgotten. I think he'll be very hard, just like the other dragons. After all, have you heard of him being killed on Korean servers yet?

Lindvior do fly up to the sky, but he comes down alot sooner then antharas. Max wait time i waited (he flew up like 4-5 times), was like 4 mins... maybe he stay up longer sometimes but not so often.

And btw, Lindvior is not as easy as you people think. He's passive, yes, but if anyone hit him with a spell or something, he instantly spamm C-L's, and those hurt u damn much! My elf with 60% mr and 10% wind resist (i know its low mr) survived with 20hp left if i successfully reduced his magic damage by half, otherwise i died in 1 hit with 300hp.

NC, PLEASE...dont make this dragon stronger then it already is, we could need something fun on live servers, i mean..if we kill this dragon many times, if it drops good items, ppls grow stronger...if we grow stronger maybe we can someday kill Valakas much more hehe...i mean, this "weak" dragon is an great oppurtunity for ppl who have never encounter an dragon b4, maybe they will have the guts to face this...dont think they saw this but anyhows...lol

He ended me a lot!!!
Why are dragons even in the game?
Even if everyone on test show up and hit it, it wont lose any hp
cuz we will be doin like 0-10 damage a hit.
And its practically impossible to survive a dragon attack.
My lvl 48 elf (not anymore), -75ac (full spelled) and 89% mr...
didnt last 5 seconds, Oh did I mention I have 565 hp (orc ammy & 50hp belt)
Still didnt stand a chance no matter what ur ac or mr is.
So its hopeless to fight a dragon unless ur lvl 80+ 0.o
But I had lots of fun... dying =)

PS: I tried doing Azzere's plan...but its mostly hit and die,
no chance to run

Not really, dragons have been killed in other countries. Problems with us is that all of us want drops so we dont really participate as a team.

I think it's possible to end dragons. On a Korean server event, Fafurion (among other mops) was spawned at Oasis. There was at least 1k people there, probably more. As soon as Faf ended a whole screen and a half of people, others would rush in and continue bolting/wanding him. GM removed Faf 5 minutes after he announced 1/2 health, though =\

I am from test server and u cant use any i say again any tames to fight lind
dont u think the test server ppl have try it.
The cubes dont take 500 dmg they are weak take 10-15- dmg no 500 huk'
all the tames & cubes just die with one blue flame as well as every one standing around lind.When he flys up u have to wait for him to drop back down
u can not drop pots on floor 2 make him drop he is not a harpy
we did not end him becuz ppl are still testing the new tower & trying 2
find there way up to 6thfloor & better but we will end him as soon as
wipe event hits test that way every one from loa will travle back to test for wipe fun =) me &PRiM & dias will take some nice ss for your comments ty.

Well maybe if the drops on Dep didn't suck, we could work together as more of a team to kill bosses. Lindvior won't end with Dep 20+ DK's hitting it?

Bah. Its easy to survive Lind's attacks if you are elf. I am level 49 Con elf on test, and I managed to survive 2-3 minutes until I was distracted. You just have to keep Counter Magic SCROLLS, not spell, on hotkey. And keep Condensed Clears on hotkey also. If water, you should have N-T on hotkey too. I had 570 HP w/belt (I know thats alot, but I wasn't using orc ammy). I say use counter scrolls, because alot of time i have like 20-30 HP after he attack and I water myself to full. If you use spell, the 10 HP or whatever it is to use counter would make you die.

oh, 69% mr and 70% wind resist

20 + DK knights wouldn't last long enough to end him with the damage he does. They have fast reg rate, and 20 dks can't hit him at same time since 20 peopel can't target him at same time in hand to hand. On korean test they had hundreds of peoepl trying kill dragon and that killed many people before dragon died. Even with the help of alot dk knights.

Lindvior will end on Dep!!! Last night's Giran DM there were 6 or 7 players left hitting Valakas when the time ran out. If they can survive Val for that long without having mages/elves there to heal/buff them Lind is gonna get enddded... Just gonna take some teamwork and a good strategy. If people can put aside their differences for a lil bit the dragon will end dai!!! I guarantee it!!!

Buying blank lvl 4 scrolls!!! Holla....
