Curious about Lineage II: The Chaotic Chronicle after its stellar showing at E3 2003? Well, we’ve got an opportunity for you! Join us for the June Lineage House of Commons IRC chat -- and bring your Lineage II questions!
This month’s HoC chat will focus entirely on Lineage II, and will be joined by Hyung Jin Kim – Lead Designer of Lineage II. Please note! Because Mr. Kim will be joining us live from Seoul, the chat is schedule for a slightly later time than our normal chats and will begin at 9:00 PM CDT and run for approximately one hour.
The chat will be Tuesday, June 3rd at 9:00 PM CDT (if you are in a different time zone, check out World Time Zones to find out what time that is where you are) in #NCsoft on the Stratics IRC Servers.
You can connect to the servers by using either mIRC, pirch, Ircle, one of your favorite linux chat clients, or one of the java applets to your left and entering one of the following servers:

irc.frws.com (USA, Colorado)
irc.glowfish.de (EU, Germany)
irc2.frws.com (USA, Colorado)
stratics.afraidyet.net (USA, Georgia)
irc.stratics.com (re-routing to one of the above servers)

Once connected, simply type /join #NCsoft to stop by.

hey any mac users know how to join these HOC chats?? any program i need to dl?i have tried using the irc on this site but i cant get in, im guessing because it doesnt support mac users

you can use mIRC if you wish. when you get to the mirc startup just type /server <server look above> and you will connect. then type /join #NCsoft

javi - try fire, a multi-service client. for irc, create the account for the server and to join a channel, add the channel as a friend to the list. It might not be completely stable yet, though, so just search www.versiontracker.com for 'irc' and you'll find plenty of other options.

no, don't try fire for being a first time user on irc, I would suggest trying ircle(I don't like recommending this program, but usually first time users find it easier), snak, even athenairc(loosely suggested) for getting on to irc.

why people use it? well.. if it is first one, it means older brother and
second one, it is used to respect older people. rules since long time ago to respect older people.

and. that name Hyung Jin Kim. Hyung is not the title there -.-;; that's whole name. title goes after the name. but you don't say last name when you do that.

anyway.. i don't like lineage2 -.- it's about same as lineage 1 as right now. it might change but.. i don't think it will be better then WoW. I like those elf characters though.

Are you shitting me fool? This game will blow WoW away. This game has way more features more detail too. Graphics look cooler and this game wont have as many dumbed down features for newb players to cope with. Ive done my research on both, this game looks, and sounds better(wow's cartoony graphics suck). And besides, Lin 2 will be out before wow wont it?

nah it wont be better then wow. im 100% sure WoW well be much more "FUN" to play.
lets face it guys korean games are all work and only fun in the beginning. after swg comes out for p2 im switching, after lineage im never going to play another korean made mmorpg again, they are ment for people to spent there life away playing to get strong, and in korea since they are to packed i guess they are ment for acc sharers to.

Also, there is not much information that is out for WoW. How can you research it anyway?

But I do agree that Lineage2 has better graphic. I don't like cartoonish graphics too. (As I said, I like elf character in Lin2 ~.~ i mean woman elf)

And.. Lineage2 is totally targeted for Korean gamers. Which means, they make ppl to compete each other in becoming strong. Well.. I'm Korean too -.- but..
I don't like the way of Lineage goes. I was going to quit lin1 when WoW comes out. (Maybe)

pffft, weak. We'll just have to see which one is better when they are both out. If lin 2 is as much work as lin 1 was then hell, maybe id get used to demented looking mops and poorly detailed characters. :( Oh and are you still playing lineage? That is some of the most boring stuff ive.....snore...
There is enough stuff on WoW.com to see what the graphics are like and it seems to me from what ive read that they make it too simplistic so the average gamer can get hooked instead of frustrated. Meh, what to do what to do...

bla, u talk of wow but u forget its blizzard. Perhaps warcraft 3 its not as good as I expected but all blizzard games rock. Starcraft was quite simple but I was playing for over 2 years... battle.net and the stuff, I trust that blizzard will use their habitual formula to succed.

#21 - CDT is US Central time. Try http://www.worldtimezone.com for maps. I believe US Central is -5 GMT right now, so the chat will be at 2 AM tomorrow morning in your part of the world.

Just because blizzard has had a couple popular rts games doesnt mean they are guaranteed to keep producing primo games. Starcraft was a classic kick ass game but it has little to do with the massively multiplayer genre. How many fantastic mmorpg's has Blizzard made? You cant compare these two games (lin 2 and WoW) before they come out unless you have played both. This arguing is getting silly. Both games will probably be good, it all just depends on everyones own likes and dislikes.
