new NC Community Coordinator - Kyzah

The rumors are true, Melantus is no longer with NCSoft. We at LC wish him good luck in whatever is next for him and hope he stops by to say hi every once in awhile. His replacement will be Kyzah:

Hi everyone -

I want to take a moment to introduce someone to you. Kyzah is stepping in as the new Community Coordinator for the Lineage message boards - as Melantus is no longer working for NCSoft - and will be handling moderation, gathering feedback and suggestions from these boards, and passing that information along to the Lineage team. Kyzah has been playing Lineage for quite some time, is quite knowledgable about the game, and I'm sure you're all going to get along quite nicely. :)

I just hope more active than Mel, Ill be very careful to critize Mel since I dont really know what his assignments was, but he sure wasnt very active in giving feedback on the boards etc., which I thought was his job.

Mel was cool he was nice and dealt with things properly even if there wasnt much action he could have done. You guys think Mel isn't active, but it isnt his fault it is more like NC doesn't listen to what we want to say. i think he will respond more to us but nothing is really gonna change cause NC isn't really gonna take advice from us.

NC canned melantus for actually TALKING to users and listening to them god forbid someone actually do their job right! and yammie workin at NC? i doubt it. Last i Heard Yammie was learning programming to create his own game which i look forward too since i know Yammie was a very well known player and i know he WAS a player.. dunno if he still is... probably hiding :P. but if its yammie then congrats but i still say nc sucks :)

SkyLin is right NC Korea doesnt really care too much bout US servers since they make the bulk of their money in Asia so it wasnt Mel's fault that things didnt seem active.

Lol, look at all the speculations....Only mel and other Nc-austin employees actually know why mel is'nt working there. Did he get a better offer somehwhere else? From what i hear in several circles, a few different game companies are looking for mods...Maybe he found a better paying job.. Who know.... ??? maybe he just changed his board name to Kyzah... lol

It will be interesting to see what tone Kyzah sets on the boards...If he has posted b4 on the boards i'll recognize his style.lol

hmmm well since everyone has been posting their speculation i will add mine to the pile: mel worked for UO's boards and then for Lin's boards. at the times he worked those jobs, what did they both have in common? Richard Garriot. so of course, my speculation is, that he has moved to a different board for a game that has some relationship to RGLB.

hmm what is this like the second or 3rd community guy we've driven off? i wouldnt blame him for leaving NC if he did, instead of getting fired. NC has no will of their own or permission to do things on their own (thats the only exscuse i can come up with for not giving US users what they want). the company in korea is holding the US division back. good luck Kyzah you're going to need it.

Dein if you count korean alpha its pretty damn close. if you remember quite some time ago amer had an article here about the RPG timeline (http://www.legendmud.org/raph/gaming/mudtimeline.html) if you want an actual reference. lineage was "thought up" in 1995, and launched in 1997. yeah launched.

Sheesh people these days have such high expectations!!! Give Kyzah a break!!! We shouldn't be making comments like "You better be as cool and as nice as Mel", who gives us the right? Kyzah will do what is necessary for him/her to do, or atleast I would hope so, and we shouldn't pass judgement untill we have seen what she/he does.
