Publish delayed

This week’s scheduled Server Reset/Publish has been moved to Thursday, January 23rd at 10:00am Central US time. The regularly scheduled Server Reset/Publish will not take place on Wednesday, January 22nd. More information regarding the contents of this publish will be posted on the Wednesday, January 23rd.

Depardieu and Ken Rauhel Servers will have server resets. Additional pre-episode 12 content patched, but will not be accessible until Episode 12 is released.

Lands of Aden server will contain the following changes:

New craftable items:
- Mithril Robe--for Mages, decent AC
- Engraved Breast Plate and Engrave Visor--Armor Set for Prince/ess
New dropped items:
- Troll Ring--Knight only, +1HP regen
- Ring of Protection--Prince/ess only, +1 AC
- Mermaid Ring--+1MP regen
A mithril craftsman will be added in Horun’s Lab and an armor craftsman will be added to Werldern.
AC on several boss monsters will be lowered slightly to offset the class system/soft AC changes.
Muryans will now drop adena.
The hit penalty on the Staff of Mana will be removed.
Guard archers will begin appearing throughout Talking Island.

All LOA has to do is institute global chat and I'll start playing there. I don't know how you LOA ppl function without a global economy. How the heck do you buy/sell stuff w/o it? Also, I heard at one point that there is no teleporting.. or maybe it was no b-tele scrolls... can anyone that plays LOA tell me a bit about it w/o sounding like a spoiled child, please?

btele is still there teleporters are there NCAustin has full control over LOA they dont have any control like that over ken/dep for who ever complained about dep/ken not getting these updates its because NCAustin has no choice in what goes in or not. its been said on the boards before~

A Prince/ss set is available on LoA before the Korean team ever made one for the normal servers...Prrreeetty sad. There's so many more beneits for being a Prince/ss there too. Maybe I should play there.

Doesn't a Troll Ring just sound stupid though? Trolls don't use/care for rings. Why in the world would one be named after them?

Ya NC Put the SOM in as well as the Crapy Som that can't be enchanted and also the Crystal Staff that allows you to regain faster

CStaff is lvl 30
Estaff(Crapy one) lvl 20 I think
and the OG SOM the 3/3 stick that drains mp is lvl 24 quest

Robe for mages is good a point, mages need better ac :)
Removing hit penalty on SOM another good point.

This stuff is all fine and dandy for the newbs, but where's all the high level stuff? I mean, other than slight soft AC reduction and exp loss reduction, there's very little on LoA that would be very useful at higher levels. Those rings are a little interesting, but for two of them you need to be underweight, and the other one is prince(ss) only!

Not to mention all the updates weakening bosses or raising drops...bah...it's turning into another test server. Lineage is not hard, and it doesn't need to be made easier. I've said it before and I'll say it again: there's absolutely NOTHING there that could even come close to persuading me to throw away almost 2 years on Ken and leave all my friends behind.

You people that are dissin NC are friggin baka. The reason NCI cant add this stuff to the other servers is becuase LOA is RUN BY NCI, NOT NCSOFT. Ken and dep are run by NCSOFT, NCI cant do jack for them.

LoA does have bteles, they not rare.
we have tele ladies too.
and no global is no big deal, you just go to the towns where u think the item u want might be sold:

like if you wanna buy some cheap poly scrolls, which fire eggs drop alot, go to Weldern town and start saying buying poly scrolls, also no global means more use of Website and Town message boards. :) hope that helps

Ya no global is no big deal. Other games have no global and are doing quite well.

LOA is not a test server or anything close. It is a server that is run by the Americans and is actually tailored for and in some cases by the server players. It's not to test out items for the other servers. They (other servers) are run by Korea and will get NO additional content not approved by them. In short LOA is simply Lineage Americanized.

This is my First post here on LC.

I just gotta say...... NC has restored my faith....

The only real major problem i ever had is when they nerfed the SOM. And with the AC Nerf on top... My year of work on my mage, poof nearly unplayable.

But now....I love you NC. =:) LOA server is great, now that the right people have control over it and know what people want.

On the Global issue, i think i have it figured out. The reason the dont have global is so they dont have to spend there time chat banning people all day. Im sure that must be a huge waste of there time. It tougher to get things without global, but people adapt.

NCI slowly evolving LoA, starting first at low levels, by improving the newbie areas, now working on mid-levels (15 to 40), and soon workng on higher levels (45+). There are already plenty of high level items for high level players, but there aren't that many high levels on LoA and there hasn't been time for many of the highest level items to be acquired. NCSoft is bringing out more high-level items in Episode 12, which we will all get. What NCI is doing for us on LoA is improving the overall balance of the classes and providing real assistance for low to midlevel players. A level 48 character with max gear needs no extra help, as they can hunt anything anywhere (except maybe dragons), and they already have Forgotten Island as a challenge and source of uber items and soon Episode 12 as well. CaptSturm and the rest of the Austin crew listen and respond to the LoA players on a timely basis and are actively working to improve all apsect ofg Lineage gameplay on LoA. They have to prove to Korea that an idea is truly good so that Korea will add it to the rest of Lineage. Remember that our Ken and Dep servers are simply translated mirrors of the Korean servers and that NCI does not have permission to change anything on them. NCI does have the right to do anything they want in LoA and the hope is that LoA will encourage more people to play Lineage and prive to Korea that these ideas are good ideas. If you want any of the good things on LoA you will have to play on LoA or wait a long time to the Powers That Be in Korea to finally authorize the adoption of any of them.

I don't think I can hold out anymore. I leveled an elf to 22 on LoA and quit to go back to Ken. These improvements are just to much to ignore. Since old friends are the only thing keeping me playing Ken, guess it's time to make new ones.

(sarcasm on)oh ya, like mages cared about the staff of mana in the first place anyway, much less now that it has the -3 hit bonus removed. I mean, when have you ever seen a high level mage using a staff of mana? (sarcasm off) (yes, i realize ppl on dep/ken already have it, but not only is it a rare item there now, it also sucks there - while on loa ppl can still make it)

And sincerely, even a high level mage has got to find the two mermaid rings appealing. I mean, if it wasnt for the heine event most people wouldnt even have rings. Even then, theres a lot of huntin where +2 mp a click is better than the extra elemental resistance.

Last point, while i realize the prince/mage armour probably wont be that great - without even seeing its stats your assuming no high level would be interested in zelling it and making good armour.
