Castle Aden - First Siege

Well, today was the first Castle Aden siege on the Korean non-PvP Test Server. Lineage Playforum did a pictorial report on it, so we translate, add our own little comments and post. Enjoy!

Jude1004.com (http://lineage.jude1004.com/news/index.asp?pg=/news/view.asp&cts_id=4185) also did a report and they posted some additional information:

There were some problems on this test. There are certain requirements to meet to take the castle (remember, your pledge has to disable *all* towers *or* kill the current Prince), however, the winning pledge didn't meet these requirements but the server awarded them the castle anyway. NC cancelled the win and delayed the PvP Korean Test server siege until they can get it straightened out.

Below is a picture of all the towers (from the Jude1004 article). From left to right, there is: Guardian Tower, Guardian Tower: Eva, Guardian Tower: Maphr, Guardian Tower: Sayha and Guardian Tower: Paagrio.

wow.. out of all them people, i saw 0 mages, about 5 female elves, no male elves, 1 female knight.. 0 prince/ss. well actually, i see 1 male elf standing over possibly a dead mage..
that seige had to of been insane.. bet none of them people were on a 56k modem, unless they were the dead people

Actually I see quite a few elves look harder. Yes this is a ton of people and this is just their test server. You may not be able to tell the mages cause they are probably morphed or dead. The truth is mages in this game arent complete and they never will be if Nc doesnt get their act together and release the lvl 9 and 10 spells especially immune to harm.

The order for guardian towers shoud be follow:

Guardian Tower, Guardian Tower: Eva, Guardian Tower: Maphr, Guardian Tower: Sayha and Guardian Tower: Paagrio.

(just switch Maphr and Paagrio o.o)

In my opinion their shouldnt be "balance in the game" one severely high lvl mage lets just say lvl 65 with 25 int/wis and all lvl 9 and 10 spells should be able to kill at least 2 dk knights at the same time.

ps- If any of U read fantasy books or play diff fantasy games, you'll know that in wars and battles in general there is usually an army of knights, and 1 or 2 mages supporting them. So if Lin is supposed to be a fantasy type game I think they're doing an OK job.

Actually I kinda like the way bigpeeler types, and he /she often make alot of sense too.
Flexy I agree with ur comment regarding armies in fantasy worlds comprised mainly of knights with few mages supporting them...but if u take the two towers as example (LOTR) the one mage supporting the army of knights was possibly more powerful than scores of them put together.

at least if a mage ever made it to lv 60 make the lv 60 bonus (where's the 50 one?) like all lv 9 + 10 spells learned, un-nerf the soft ac, and increase cast rate and reduce mp consumption, increase mp regen rate, make mana pots instant increase mp like 30points instead of regen...and that should at least balance the game...

like how many mages ever make it to that lv?...NONE -_-...

but what does nc have for in store for mages? NONE

Nci needs to work on their marketing to get more players playing this game here in the Us,so that we dont have like 200 players per server in off hours and 400 peak hours..at some point someone has to stop and say something is wrong...

I mean look at the sheer amount of players in these pics. I wouldnt expect AS many to join in the US as there is on the korea servers. But at least we would have a thousand per server....

Something needs to be done..

Actually the two wizards in two towers could have taken on armies on their own its against their order to use so much power needlessly. Also if they did that they would literally be drained for weeks probably. Its interesting how Tolkien only really hints at their true power doesnt actually have them use it though. Put the one ring in Lineage my mage will get I promise I wont go evil Ill use it for good I swear. *evil cackles*

#68- I ran across an article in the magazine MAcAddict about lin when it first was introduced to the mac OS. I was SOOOOOOOOOOO happy. Finally a MMORPG for the Mac platform. As soon as I got home I DL the client and registered my first char. I've been playing ever since. I do agree that it would be nice if more people played lin. But can the servers handle it? There are many many servers in Korea right? So that means that they would have to create more US servers also and we really wouldnt get that many more people playing on our servers, just more people over all. I don't know. It would be kool to have 1k+ people playing at once. Prolly no where to hunt tho. Anyways, I love this game... Keep up the good work NC....

#76 you have to remember 2 things:

1.This game was meant to have thousands.And if the game had thousands of players
then Nci would get the funding to get better servers(at least in theory).I believe that they would get a better isp if they had more lineage customers.

2.Remember that the mops that spawn in the game is determined by the amount of players active in an area.The more players, the more mops..that is unless theres a super strong player wiping out dozens of mops. Also Remember that every
aspect of the mops:the amount,the level,the drops,and to a certian extent the behavior is controled by Nci.How do you think they nerf players and buff mops so easily?So if they get more players they can add more to kill based on the amount of people that populate the servers.

People have to remember that Nci, like any company is a buisness that is trying to make a dollar. If they get more people,they can have the capital to improve the issues that the players constantly complain about.So they NEED to work on getting this game out there to those mmorpg fans that are looking for a mmorpg to play.
