Also, am I reading this right? It's level-squared (^2). If so, DANG. The way my hunting goes it will take less time to regain the exp than to come up with the money hunting.

Which bring up another point, how long after death do you have to make the "purchase"? Will I have enough time to hunt for the money? Is it based on exp? If I gain it back on my own, will I still be able to by the lost exp back?

I really wish they would lower the exp on death. It's so dang painfull at higher levels. But if buying back the exp from death is my only option (49*49*200, OMG), I'll do it.

At lvl 49 you would have to spend 480k just to get 6% back, it would be cheaper to just get pots and get it back.

i think anyone level 46 or lower would just be wasting their cash to buy back that experience, it doesnt take that long to remake.

however i have to say i wish the price of declaring a hometown would go back up, it made you put more thought into it...for 20-25k ill just register wherever i feel for that month.

As an int/wis mage, it takes me 5 or so hours at 47 to recover 13%. That is hard hunting, getting as much exp as I know how to get. At 48, 10 hours. At 49, 20 or so hours? Then this becomes CHEAP, even at 48 it is VERY enticing!!

#15 guess you are joking cause this only works for last death - you cant buy your way up to 52!! (if this was true, I can sell my +8 SOM and +7 SOF, lvl up to 49 at once and use my +6 stored SOM for hunting... but nah - I would buy my way up to 48, where we mages get that big bonus I've been so long after!)

not worth buying experiance back if you're not lvl 49+, i mean it only takes 1 hour to get 1% back at 48 anyways, and a lot less on lvls lower than that

I'm sorry but that is just way too expensive. I am lvl 15(my first character) so that puts me at $22,500. Thats insane!! I spend less money on heal pots, hastes and escape scrolls for an entire lvl. They should try to realize that everyone is not rich. :(

#23, the point of this is that high level rich people can buy back the xp they lost... because at lvl 49 you usually spend more on braves/greens/pots to hunt for your xp then buying it back.

i will be saving cash for this absolutely (the buyback exp)

1 death costs me around 44 hours (on average) to fully recover. only losing half that amount will be soooooo worth my 480k.

i make around 20k an hour where i hunt, and thats if i dont get items like nzel or ndai. at that rate, it would take me 24 hours minimum to make the money, and even though that might not sound like saving much, the closer my elf gets to 50..... nature blessing... money becomes alot faster and easier then anyway.

agreed on lower levels though. they should seperate the ranges 1 or 2 more times like:

45+ (lvl^2 * 200)
30-44 (lvl^2 * 100)
11-29 (lvl * 200)

just a suggestion. using ONEOFDAZZZ's model of being lvl 15, it would cost 3k to recover the exp instead of 22k. i havent been a newbie on dep for a long time, i dont know what 3k means to a lvl 15 player, as 15k to me when i first began was kinda awesome amounts of money... newbies input thoughts please.

TheCollector that would make more sence and yes it is easier to get exp at low levels then at higher levels, but it is all relative...if my mage spends 2000A in pots per 30 minute hunt and I only get 10% per hunt why not pay 2-3k to rebuy that exp back if I die? My time is just as important as your is, just because I am still at the point where I can lvl 1 or to times a day doesn't mean it is not. (but my time is not worth 22k for 15% of a level)

The exp buy-back is made deliberately expensive so you will use it only if you need to or have lots of money to spend. There ares ome case I can see doing it: You are planning on entering a deathmatch or hunting in Forgotten Island with your pledgemates and a death delevels you just below the required level. Now you can spend cash to instantly relevel and join your friends. For those who have millions set aside this lets them play without fear. (This will be very popular on Test.)

At Level 47, I was getting about 1% every 30 minutes. That is 3 hours for 6%. At 47, I didn't make 441,800 Adena every 3 hours (I still don't, and never will). This buy-back is obviously only for players who are 49+, if that. Good players who are Level 49+ can make 2~3% a day. but do they make 480,200 Adena every two days, hunting how they do? I doubt it, unless they get great boss drops, and hunting bosses increases the risk of death. Ultimately, I'd say this option is only for those who are Level 65 and above.

that depends on class. i wish i could make 2~3% per day, but because i only have a limit of time to play, i am lucky to get 1%. therefore, 13% knocks me back over a week usually in progress. now i know that number will be lower when i hit 50, but until then i would happily pay 480k to regain a weeks worth progress.

thanks for the numbers ONEOFDAZZZ

People... dont whine, understand. This is directed towards very high level players, where loosing exp can be a big hit (think a week or more of work).

This is not directed toward lvl 15, 30 nor 45 players, this is GREAT for those at 49+. Don't whine so much, this is not perjudicial for you in any way but makes a BIG difference to those with high levels!

It is very nice this xp buyback, but not worth in LoA cuz u only loose 1% at lvl 49+ so spending 500k for .5% hahaha. But its like this when i was in dep i was able to make 1m every 15 hours with my elf, so if u make 1% every 3 hours at lvl 49 u would need about 15 to 18 hours to get it back, and it takes me half the time to get the money. And im sure there is many ppl who can make that kind of money in same time. So i think its great. Regarding to the noobs well..... not worth for a lvl below 49. I remember my noob days and 10k was a lot. 1 month ago when i was making my Sayhas i found a noob seller, i offered 1m and he accept, but i only had 997k so i told him that if that was cool, and he said no ^.^ i understand him, but high lvl players dont worry about money as much as noobs so spending money for Xp is not a prob for them.

The experience loss at level 49 is painfull! I plan on keeping adena on hand to buy back experience from death loss. The time I have to play, a death costs about 1-2 weeks worth of work. At this point, I would pretty much do anything to lessen the pain. IMHO, I don't think it would be worth buying back exp at levels less than 49 (at least I wouldn't do it.)

im not saying its a bad idea, i just dont like how it would be too easy for some people. some people dont get rotc's everytime they hunt (like me) and 500k can be a lot to loose at the drop of a hat. i think our exp loss at death should be the same as LoA, otherwise it IS a noob server (which NC and people deny but i think it is - lvl 50 in 2 months? hah..) i liked it when we only lost 5-7% per death....

all this is IMHO of course

I think you'd be stupid to spend the Adena to get the Exp back at any Level below 65. The Level 52+ players who have high AC and strong Weapons gain Exp back fast enough not to need this. I imagine at those Levels, getting better items becomes more of a priority, since leveling up becomes so dull.

And btw, if you can't tell TheCollector, I'm a Prince. Everyone should be getting better Exp than me. 3% a day is EASY at Level 47.

U know what makes lin so unfun for me?.. its the fact that I'm afraid to die and lose 13% (13% takes me 30+hrs of play time to get it back!), coz im afraid to die I never fight anymore and the game gets more boring and boring.

I really dont understand how I wasted 4yrs on this game but I guess you will all see the light sometime.

lmao I just realized 1 real life work week is about 40 hrs, hey isnt that what it takes me to get my exp back!? A game is supposed to fun, not a job!

Wish I could gain 13% in 30 hours. Sigh. God, 13% is too damn much to loose at death!!!! Level 49 and I'm afraid of my own freeking shadow! I could die and loose 1-2 weeks of work. Yah, really need to change the % of death loss at death. No way am I going to LOA (too much time invested on Ken).

Only option (because I'm too addicted to stop playing lineage) is to start saving adena to buy experince when I die. I'm looking forward to this stupid update, so I can worry a little less about death exp loss.

But, for someone who dies a lot (lag/DC MOP), buying exp is just not feasible.
