Level 30 Elf Quest: Spirit Crystal (Summon Lesser Elemental) and Elven T-Shirt

Jude1004.com posted a summary of the Elven Quests (http://www.jude1004.com/news/index.asp?pg=/news/view.asp&cts_id=3119). Here is the summary of the level 30:

The prize is a Spirit Crystal (Summon Lesser Elemental) and an Elven T-Shirt (AC 0, weight 5, elf only, safely enchanted to +6).

The quest is simple to describe but hard to complete. The Elven Mother Tree gives you this quest. She sends you to find the Elven Princess, who will tell you about Darkmar and then direct you to his cave.

You must kill Darkmar to get the Elven Treasure. However, Darkmar has summoned a wide variety of Elementals to help him. The Jude1004 reporter had -6x AC and had to use around 50 oranges. He advised not to use reds because they would not keep up. So, be careful. ;)

Double-clicking on the Elven Treasure gives you the Spirit Crystal and the Elven T-Shirt.

Since it is a Spirit Crystal does that mean we can change elemental lines and still have the summon?
I would say so but the element summon would be different.

if u look at the help menu > elven magic > common line > lv 4 > summon
it says the spell will be unlearned when u change lines ...

i hope they change that...
unless the quest can be taken more than once (multiple et-s? O.o)

Darkmar sounds like the evil elven prince.
Dallamar is the good elven prince.

But they both drop good items, so whatever float your boat!

Recycle information: Dont throw litter around u in lineage's nature just coz u do that in your own house.

Are there different SC's for the lvl 4 and lvl 5 summons? A lvl 50 quest for the lvl 5 summon SC would be cool.

it specialize in 1 line of element (fire/water/wind/earth) and therefore will be unlearned when changing line

CuteLady if they wanted that wouldnt it seem so much easier to remove the ability to change lines?

i think a common line spell shouldnt be unlearned if you change lines. thats why its COMMON LINE. does this mean u lose b2s if u change lines o.o i had never tried i was water since the day it came to us.

Interesting level 30 quest, I am anxious to find out how strong the elementals are.

If they are having difficulty with the Lesser Elementals on the quest, then what kind of punch will the Greater Elementals pack.

For those of you who didn't check this spell up. I checked and saw that this spell does not belong to any elemental line, ie. you don't loose it [same for blood to soul] when you unlearn your elemental line.

The n thing they say when they teleport to somewhere, is due to the update from korean test server, its a bug with the prince quest spell (call clan)

summon lesser/greater elemental SPECIALIZE in ONE field of element and therefore will be unlearned when changing lines

blood to soul DOES NOT SPECIALIZE in ANY field of element and therefore will NOT BE UNLEARNED when changing lines

in-game help menu (F1) -> elven magic -> common line
-> lv 3 for blood to soul
-> lv 4 for summon lesser elemental

I assuma Darkmar is summoning the same lesser elementals as a player would, so the less elementals are probably not weak considering it took oranges to kill Darkmar.

I remember reading about summon elementals before the elven spell update, and it was said that the Elven Greater Elemental could wipe out 2 Ettin summons that a typical lvl 52 int/wis mage could muster up.... It really pissed me off (me being a mage who was also mad about return to nature or whatever that unsummon spell was called) back then, but then that was in the testing phase in Korea. Hopefully they've "adjusted" it to lower an Elf's already "uber" qualities. It's already impossible for a mage to take on an elf without this summon (ridiculous elf mr/yumi dmg). Perhaps they can make it an hp tank that does little dmg, but acts as a very good shield etc. But mostly, I am dreaming for the day of non-capped "sp" that really works and lvl 10 spells that aren't crap.... dream on.... sigh....

That's not true. If it's common line, it will probably stay. It likely will just summon the appropriate elemental for the line you are in. My money says that's how they've done it

just believe all quests should be equal for all classes
and for once, the knights aren't getting anything special until they make a complete red knight set...
just curious now about how strong and different each elemental will be...
I'm guessing all will have the same HP but does all different attacks....

I have an elf, mage, and knight....and all high lvl...so no worries here...
I'm looking forward for a lvl 45 quest or lvl 50 quest...
cuz I'm sure that will be the only way to obtain the greater elemental summon
will inspire elves to reach lvl 50 like the knights

this is one quest elves can't complain about....
not like the shitty lvl 15 elf quest for con or dex helm......
didn't take that long for new lvl 15 quests to reach live korean servers...
we can expect this within a month probably....

why did NC put lv 40 spell for lv 30 quest.. imght as well have a lv 40 quest AND a lv 30 quest.. i tihnk old quests should return as lv 30 and these new ones should be lv 40

Red knight's shield is so useless.. the set can't be good either
Maybe NC can introduce new 'pig quest' for knights since they are so much like pigs..
Quest gives u pig set:
Pig Plate Mail -6 ac, safely enchant 6 times, weight 350
Pig helm -2 ac, safe enchant 6 times, weight 50
Pig cloak -1 ac safe enchant 6 times, weight 20

Set bonus:+500 to hp -50 to ac, morphs you to a PIG!

at least it sounds better than red knight's shield... u can use it in siege

NHOJUHC the GREATER Elemental you summon at lv50. Don't worry about it, Greater Elemental dosen't even drop yet. Besides, you just heard a RUMOR (IE: Dosen't mean its true...). I think that the lesser elemental will be weak. Probly as storng as a lv30 or less doberman.

heck that pig set is practically already in the game for knights. lets see epm rkh and ec (tho cop cheaper) would fit your descritpion. and since knights dont have noodle-ac, those armors alone would protect them like -50 ac would an elf.

(oh but yeah, the hp bonus was far-fetched :P oh and why they need to morph into pig they stink up the place just as well unmorphed ^^ )

lets compare quests shall we? old ones first:

elf: ess con/sp, eb dex. for an elf: mainly crap. ess con decent for prince and ess sp for mage if they wanted to melee with an sos that hurt undead ^^

knight(they got 2 freaking quests while everyone else only had 1, YET): rks.. crap (poor man's +0 katana of "carry 5 more reds") and sks... crap (except when its +7 or better)

prince: rkc... decent for prince who had maxed out pledge... and mages who didnt want to waste 1 more point into cha...

prince: som... was good when it first came out, was even better when it was changed to take more mana given enchant level. was nerfed to hell. overall: great.

best most useful item overall IMO: som.

new quests lvl 15

Elf: con helm. crapola~ ess of con that lets you swing a different weapon with no helmet on. dex helm. crap. poor elf's boe.

knight: rkh. uber.

prince: um... rkc #2 (forget what its even called) i forget how different it is from rkc #1. someone fill that one in for me. true target; good for things i suppose.

mage: book of "i might get +1 sp which doesnt do much anyway". crap?

most used and loved item: rkh (duh)

new quests lvl 30

elf: lesser summon. elven t-shirt. uber to the max.

knight: rkshield (btw they still have rksword quest?). umm see sks back up yet make it feel even worse. set might come up... poor knights bone set with a pick?

prince: cloak that gives +1 to all stats. in terms of lineage items and how they affect player's stats, this would be considered uber. is there even another item in the game that raises more than 1 stat (str/dex/con/wis/int/cha)?

mage: staff of walking meditation. eh... its good if you arent overweight yes?

most used item: tough decision. i think they are all good quests.

comments? questions? if you have any, start up mIRC and type /con/con

If you change elemental the spell dissapears..
I doubt the spell will be too strong... maybe between bb and skele guard?
they should maybe even make it weaker.. since mages are the ones to summon
maybe make the summons like bb...
but since it is elemental it iwll help al ot in dv,fv,owl and stuff...
so choosing the right line first will be the real choice

uhm...i think ac doesnt matter on that quest because those summons are elemental wont they also do elemental damage so its magic/elemental resistance and not ac???

#20 He didn't say anything like that. You read his post wrong. He's saying it's easy to get to Darmar in comparison to what it takes to get to the bosses for the other quests.
#39 lol, where'd you read that if the Greater Elemental isn't in the game yet? Did some of the creators tell you that? Aren't they the same people who made that NPC say that the Pumpkin Boss had power comparable to a Dragon? Take it with a grain of salt, friend.
#46 People get disappointed because they think like you do. Elves, Mages, and Prince/ss need to stop thinking about 1 on 1 with Knights. That's not how things are supposed to be. Accept your characters for what they are.

I will bet that 75% of all Elves will be disappointed with the Lesser Summon. It won't be a strong summon, and it's not exactly going to be what you want to bring with you to Level up, or duel people. And Mages, that CSM is going to be great. You just wait.

I don't think it's hard, even though, it's worth to take it, coz the elven t-s can be safely enchanted to +6, +6 ets 180k only, +6 t-s about 2mil, although I already have +6 t-s, lol

But now u can have a +7 tshirt by using a bzel or getting really lucky. You will still have to have a +6 tshirt for all other characters. And btw, help does say that u unlearn summon when changing lines =(.

all the updates for the past 3 months are totally weakening mage's power
it's useless to keep on making new spells and stuff o.o;
that only makes all the other classes alot stronger than mage
with everyone's rings and mr, magic is already useless vs players
mages' healing is the ONLY useful thing -_-; mages' magic attack hurt themselves more than the enermy, mages' curse is blocked by MR or greatly decreases on the caster's lawful points
no matter with whatever ac nor weapon, mage still sux
with the low physical attack and defence, mage is the worst of all =)-
and what on earth is mages' level 50 bonus?
soon or later (or already is) the order will be like
Knight > Elf > Prince(ss) > Mage
or
Knight > Prince(ss) > Elf > Mage
this game has never been balanced o.o;
*Prince(ss)/Elf are the only classes which was balanced out~

Elves: Essential to sieges
Mages: Best @ making money
Knights: Best at fights
Princes: Essential to pledges

No one class is "better" than another. A knight can conceivably make all his money using his elf, or from his castle, but most people will use their mages for their equipment/potion costs.

so that's not a balance...tho..even they dont improve much, they dont degrade much like the mages either..prince/ss is sorta like stuck most of the time where as the mage is mostly always on the go...either very weak or very strong - -;..

on the monster guide there are alot of mops that are tameable but you state they arnt. basi, ghast, harpy and cyclops are a few :P

No to mention the BB's, goblins, orc fighter, and a bunch of others are listed as untamable. I think Amer just changes it when someone e-mails him a pic of a tamed mop on the list.

Ghasts are tameable, people used to go around muting others with tamed ghasts.
Cyclops have been tamed to hunt dragons
Basi/harpy I dont know about.

ok for ur info : i heard that the 4 elemental lesser summons are not the same :

-Earth Elemental summon has more ac/defense
-Fire Elemental summon has more attack
-Wind Elemental summon has more accurercy and is faster
-Water Elemental summon has more hp

but i heard a Fire elemental attacks like a normal fairy
and they all use Call Lightning.

and like u saw on the pictures .... Greater elemental attacks slowly but powerfull from close distance.....

i read that onc eu learn summon if u change lines u wont be able to learn it again i think in ivory somewhere

My opinion about the summons is that they will possibly be a good hunting companion for elves lower than lvl 45 however I wouldn't recommend hunting with them fulltime because you can't collect from them (I don't think). One summon mop is useless unless u can collect from them especially if you are hunting in fv.

I figure the best strategy for using them is on temporary or emergency basis like boss hunting or even better for Forgotten Island. Have you noticed a coincidence in the availability of summons, rings, belts and the introduction of FI? It seems that the rings and belts have been made more readily available to assist hunting FI because it will be unbelievably difficult for any length of time for elves since they took out the ability to shoot over cliffs. Considering you can't take anything with you to the island summoning one of these things can be priceless since there won't be a large number of elves able to hunt there.

and if no one EVER go there at all it'll be a waste of bytes so they try to attract ppl to go there by making more cool stuff avalible (at least to the richest at first and most afterwards)

i think u just can't take dogs to fi..they just mention no dogs...
didnt mention about magically tamed/summoned monsters...so i guess mage wont be nerf-ed to death there...but instead getting killed by those massive nerfs on ac and the beef up mop! O.o

remove shooting over cliffs in fi to prevent ppl getting easy in fi~~..

In a sense NC can be considered a genious to introduce a place that only the *elite* can hunt. Elite of course meaning rich as well as fearless. With the inconsistencies of connections any hiccup in your connection is instant death! On the positive side though experience gains should be so much sweeter. FI will definitely not be for the faint of heart or short of money player. Seems only lvl 48 mages or knights will be able to hunt there. Damn elves and prince(ss) are going to catch major pain.

I do wonder what the hitpoints of the mops on FI will be... I've heard their attacks are stronger but what about the hp.

The lesser elemental summons will be no stronger than lvl 30 dobs. Do they look cooler? Personal choice. All elves that have stopped using dogs many levels ago prolly wont use the summons either. Ah, but that t-shirt. NOW we are talking something good.

I dunno wot's the problem cuz the moment the lvl 10 spell is out mage gonna have immune to harm which is (*&^&$(&^#!(&^$ good... and Meteor strike and disintegrate as well... so its just a matter of time before mage becomes a good class again... just wait
