Level 30 Prince Quest: Monarch's Cloak and Spellbook (Call Clan)

Monarch's Cloak: Prince/Princess only, weight 10, AC -2, +1 STR, +1 CON, +1 DEX, +1 WIS, +1 CHA, +1 INT. This is not a typo, it is +1 to *all stats*.

Aria, the Ivory Tower mage in Woodbec town, starts you off on this quest. She tells you to go to the Ant Cave and look for the Ant Maintenance NPC. However, you can only speak to this NPC if you morph into a Giant Soldier Ant. The Guard directs you to a secret passage.

In this passage, you morph into a skeleton. Here, you will find multiple Mutated Ant Queen. (Bring potions!) You must obtain the Relics of Village Inhabitants from by killing a Mutated Queen Ant.

Bring the Relics of Village Inhabitants back to Aria and she will give you the Monarch's Cloak and the Call Clan spellbook.

Call Clan spell is 30 MP/0 HP to cast and teleports any member of your pledge right next to you. They will be prompted Yes/No before the teleport.

well teh spell will change things for sieges, just imagine a prince in coi sneak up to the tower and cas this spell and boom 25 people just popped out of nowhere and started killing everything in site, this will make sieges more interesting, plus the cloak looks very nice

about time they did something good for the prince. now this makes dragon hunts even better. prince can just walk down there with someone as escourt then call clan to get everyone down there without wasteing pots or mp. also it will make seiges better.

the only reason prince/ss class can't get much worse is because they didn't get much attention to get beef-ed up in the first place to begin with..

i think this is the only [prince/ss only] item that's useful ~~..the other ones r like.....

oh by the way..that lv 15 prince quest which will reward a -2ac cloak with +1cha... what's gonna happen to that then?...this one do more than just +1cha..
so will they sorta del the old one or modify it of some sort??

call clan (30mp/0hp)...now how much mp a sieging lv 25 prince/ss with 18wis? o.o
any member: summon one of those dk knights u have in ur pledge to ur speedy rescue!
i think this spell will have some limitations like cannot use it in certain areas...

Very nice... NC hit the bullseye when they decided to make these items. Prince will be a force to be reckoned with... I can see it now... a lone prince at a seige, being chased by 4 or 5 knights, then <poof!> outta nowhere like 10 ppl from princes pledge come outta nowhere. w00t.

How come it's always cloaks for prince/ss quests? Can't it be armor, gloves or boots or even some new crown? The cloak is nice tho with +1 all stats.

Call clan would definitely be good BUT read carefully people "Call Clan spell is 30 MP/0 HP to cast and teleports any member of your pledge right next to you. They will be prompted Yes/No before the teleport."
It says ANY member, not ALL the members.

How hard is the mutated thing anyway?

One word: WOW!!!

If you ask me this can be the BEST ac item on the WHOLE game! (coi is another story).

Princes just got something they deserved for being such a hard class. This item is AMAZING, just a +1 boost to all stats in all lvl 30 princes. Nice nice nice. Guess Marak must be happy.

With pricess MP, he wont be able to call that many members. But sure sounds like one hell of a nice, and useful, spell.

This what u do. Prince stands by siege prompts everyone to come they leave it on Yes and wait for prince command. princes says: NOW! and like 10-15 appear depending on Princes MP and then siege on :). or NC might make so MP isn't used intill they answer Yes which means 1 at a time which is sorta dull but good anyways :).

flyz there is a bug with the eva sehild if someone equpis it then gets hit by a dice dagger there hp will fall down to 1 its a bug. if they fixed it then im wrong but iahvent seen the issue fixed and yes i know its 1/3 i havent been playing 3years for nothing.

hahaha see -_- i'm right...another cloak for the princes/ses....What the heck do i do with my other two cloaks??? Ya it's great to have a +1 to all stat cloak but then again, it doesn't seem THAT beneficial since its base ac is 2 and it can only go up to +4 safely? (Correct me on this but I doubt they are going to make it safely +6 like redknight's hood and elven t-shirt) It does seem like a good cloak after all...eventhough the only useful stats are str/dex/con/chr, it still helps, I hope.

As for the spell, it costs 30mp to use. Considering a normal lvl 30 prince, his mp should be around 70 which means he can only cast it twice. (Unless u are a wis prince..that's another story) And prince's mp regenerates REALLY slow. And it'd be funny if mp is consumed while the member u wish to teleport clicked 'NO'...so um...I think 30mp is quite a bit too much to put the spell into good use.

Ya Pepper is whining again...not -_- Just stating the facts and a bit of my own opinions.

Knights on the other hand get new shields...when they can use ALL the shields (except the mage int thingy) in the game already....And princes/ses are restricted to a shitty lil' Shield of Reflection which doesn't even do what it's name says 'Shield........of.......Reflection' Reflect what...? My guess on the spell is that it will teleport all online pledgemember who press yes to a location next to you but it can only be used on places where you can bookmark. No? o.o

Oh my god, is the wheel of "good updates" rolling at last? first it was the elves, now the princes/ess, maybe next will be mages again (cSOM isn't that bad at all ;) ) and then they'll shatter the ac decay update and exile the pot delay update too.... (glares to the horizon).... geez, i feel softy XDD

Nice item's long overdue for the prince/ess i know of just one prince who will be happy as hell with this update (hi there kirk ;) )

ep12 is gonna focus on prince/ss i think......
so this one is another stepping stone to enchance prince/ss who are long forgotten!

not many seiging prince/ss are over lv 30...so..i think they'll just go barely to lv 30, get that spell, and siege again.. so they wont have as much mp to summon more than 3ppl in unless that prince/ss is 18wis...unless all those 3 ppl r dks! O.O..(*hint*hint*)

besides...prince/ss have been waiting for finally a useful item for a very very very long time...so..why start complaining now~~...not like a prince/ss can duel and kill a mage, or an elf, and not to mention a knight! ~~...

Seriously though...Prince as boss scouter...oh...dk's up....tele pledge in before the rest of the world can get there...quite useful also makes a 50 mp belt a MUST for a royal. This might actually pull me away from my new knight to start the drive for level 50 again!

And that cloak...I HOPE it's a prince ONLY item....we deserve it...lol

#27 They're not exactly easy to get Tissot, especially not for a Prince/ss. You don't exactly see people killing Fafurion everyday of the week. Oh, and how expensive is a +5 or better Shield of Eva? Oh, that's right...
#29 I think they'll notice before you can punch them to death. What do you think? They're gonna be at 5 HP right when the Dagger of Bad Luck kicks in?
#30 We complain about bad updates too. FlyZ is right, Prince/ss (Even the very strongest) have below 150 MP. And I bet there will be a delay on that spell too. Like maybe only 1 casting every 2~3 minutes.
#32 It's still a bug, don't count on that strategy working forever. We judge things on how they're meant to work. Not because they're messed up from bugs.

It upsets me to see that so many people think this one item is going to make up for the lack of items the Prince/ss has seen in the past. +1 to all stats is alright, but how useful is +1 to INT, WIS going to be for a Prince/ss? I would rather have a Cloak that only added +2 to Charisma or Constitution instead. This hardly makes up for the fact that we can't use EPM, ES, and Rapier. If you ask me, a Prince/ss should be able to use anything that an Elf can. And what's with this Cloak! Nice little dragon print, but it still looks like an Orcish Cloak! The Red Cloak looks far better! Stop being so damn lazy NC! How hard is it to take 15 minutes and draw a new cloak? The same goes for any items that don't have an original picture.

I have no idea why prince/ss can't use rapier. A rapier is a fencing weapon and royalty (prince/ss) class should be able to use it since they do get training in 'real' life. But who am I kidding, NC has their heads in their ass.

I personally think this is a step up from the current status of prince(ss)' options of choice. But dont forget that wisdom is not a useless stat, it does give magic resistance % and magic resistance does help somewhat with the mr% and with this cloak, a wisdom amulet and a mana pot a normal prince will also greatly regen the 30mp needed for the call clan spell just fine, many prince(ss)' can save up about 200k to purchase a old belt of mind for 30 extra mp and it will increase the rate for the prince to get more member's (whether random or specifically chosen I have no clue) to their location of choice for hunts,camping,duels,seiges,pkers on dep etc, etc, etc. and also for mp regen if anyone has thought of this, create some meditation scrolls (lvl4 spell if im correct) which i beleive alot of people got from the recently passed halloween event. so a prince probably can use these combined tactics to prove an advantage of the new item and spell.

I already have addressed and quoted what was said in post #20. People just can't read.
Vail has just said it is preferably better to have in con or cha since those are the more important stats than wis to prince/ss.

Call Pledge would basically be used on the fly when you're in a siege or war. A princess has the time to stand there and heal mp while getting beat up to a pulp? belt of mind only gives you 1 extra member flown.

red knight's set- requires:
Red knight's shield
Red knight's sword
Red knigh'ts cloak(maybe this come back to game)

Bonuses:Morph to red knight-100% faster than normal knight at everything
-50 to ac can cast all spells without learning them.

This would be the knida thing red knight's shield would be out for..
knights never get nerfed cuz nc loves them so much
