i think it's pretty good...the mage in the ice lance is funny.....i need some help though...what does the elf have? oh haha...tok me a little to realize the knights were killed by the fairy......i think that's a nice drawing....

lol i like this picture, it may not be the best looking thing in the world, but its funny and shows stuff about the game.

And who cares if the person who drew it was 6. I can't draw diddly squat. and as #12 said, if you can draw better then him, then why didnt you submit?

all i will say is if you think the artwork chosen to win is bad, and you think you can do better, then go for it. at least give the effort to draw something and enter, like the winner did -_-

Some pictures people look at for the artwork, and others, for the detail, this may not be the best drawing, but it has SO much detail, and I like that. All the stuff that is happening, its a good drawing, wether u like it or not, so get over it, and go play lineage or something. Dont slam him because it doesnt look like Picasso ok?

Looking at the drawing in a closer inspection, I don't think it was done by some really young. Looks like someone in their teens at least. There's shading done in the coloring, the filling of colors are uniform, body posture on the characters are complex, and the underlining humor is creative. What I think made this drawing a winner is the humor. I like it.

Its craptastic..."K-ZS-M (#14)" is right...I have seen better drawings being sent in and they pic the more kiddy ones because it shows interest and effort...they dont give much thought to how much skill or talent is being used to creat one...

maybe i should submit my drawings and claim the no.1 spot... no offense to the young artist who did that, but i'm an art major after all so i should have some "cockiness" rights. ^^;

Im not slamming the artist. Im just saying that this drawing is not wot I can call visually attractive... And I'm sure that every single person here would agree with me.. If you don't its because you're stupid and you only believe wot you want to believe... Anyway Congrats anyway for that Drawing...

And another thing... its an art contest... im sorry but it shouldn't be the one who put the most effort into it it should be the one with the best drawing. Its sad for ppl who doesnt have skill like me an other ppl... but you have to be realist... you have strenght and weaknesses where someone is good in drawing might sux in something else... its life...

Shaddup you guys! Tiramisu I think your drawing is cute. Not sure how old you are but at least you have a good imagination and the characters are done well for that type of drawing. I'd have to say that I like this one better than any of the other junk I've seen win. Don't listen to these babos Tiramisu and keep drawing if it's what you like.

I totally agree with #14 and #27. This girl ( I believe) did well too but
I've seen much better quality, artistic, technical drawings done for this
fan art section. They spent much time as anybody and NC should know that.
If fan art is not for professional artists, then they should say "please
do not submit your work if you're very good drawer..." (what am I talking about)

Now don't get me wrong. I don't mean this player sux but what I mean is there
are much better people who submitted the work. I've seen other 2 previous
fan art winner and it was... hm.... sad. Why don't NC pick something better?This player did pretty well done and I believe she'll do better next time.
So far, this girl is da best fan art drawer. Hope to see more of her work.
Remember, the more you draw, the better you get ^^;

Nice idea of mama tree and other 4 characters. And this pic has pretty accurate
details of the characters and very clean work. Nice.

hey don't get me wrong. that is obviously it's a child who drew that and for his/her age group it is looks very good. doesn't have the messy extra lines that's typical of drawings that age group. the details on the characters are also very accurate too.

what i was surprised was that there weren't older artists that could do better. that says something about her talents don't u think? but like i said i'm an art major after all. but then again... i'm doing 4 paintings in one go and i'm kinda sick of drawing hahaha...

I'm pretty sure the ppl who sent in their submissions r pretty pissed too
cuz they look at that and their own work and wonder "Why the fuck did NC choose that artwork and not mine??????"

I personally think they choose it randomly
or
if it does look like a kid did it
they put up the kid's artwork

out of the 4 artworks on the lineage site that have won
I think only one of them actually was worth-while for a win for someone that isn't a kid

I really hope the person who won is a little girl or their daugther/son's artwork

maybe I'll submit something next time and go thru my old elementary school junk and get out some crayons and make something worth-while for a win!
can't refuse a free month of lineage u know....^_^

I'm with Aeon on this one (even tho I have no idea who she is).
Those of you who are sure there were better artwork... how would you know this? Were you a judge? Did you see the other entrants?

A "professional" who would enter in this contest would do so be cause he/she is not taken seriously by real artists and need to beat someone. Even an amatuer.

I've done a few pieces myself and won a few contests in my days. But I'm not a professional and I am not enough of an arrogant snot to put down someone elses work.

If you can do better then put something up. And if you do and are not picked then maybe you aren't half as good as you think.

I like this piece of art. It's got charm and character.

#53 huh? I myself AM a professional level artist(weather you like my work or not). All artists in general know that they need to improve their work(at least those that plan to do it for a living).I dont think its right to bash peoples work without any constructive critisism..and I also feel that "Constructive" Critisism should be given in the context of a person wanting to be an artist professionally.

Those who want to become a 2d or 3d Artist I would definetly recommend art school and/or some rigorous self-teaching in the area of Anatomy,perspective,
animals,Humans,and overall life.

I myself dont consider myself the "Best" Artist out there(whatever THAT is..)
But I do understand where I am in terms of progress.And I also understand that being at a certian level of progress doesnt entitle me to rag on someone who is either not an artist or is just starting out..

I notice with the lineage community people here are very competitive and they take that competitiveness outside of the game as well..which is a bad thing as well as a good thing.All Im saying is think before you speak....
