Ancient BowGun Spotted on Dep Server

Ok elves you can all stop drooling. It appears that Razorelf is the proud new owner of what may be the first +7 Ancient Bowgun on either server. I tracked him down at the Mother Tree, and got the low down from this level 49 CON elf.

Razorelf finished compiling what he needed, and assembled his Bowgun yesterday. He bought a sealed Ancient Bowgun from Knightryduz for an undisclosed amount, although after talking to the both of them it appears that he bought it for around 10,000,000 adena. In addition to this, he bought an unseal scroll for 6,500,000 adena and a +8 Rapier. So what do you do with this 20 million adena weapon? You b-dai it to +7!

Let me tell you, this thing is worth it too. Not only is it one-handed giving him extra AC, but we did some damage tests as well. On a level 49 Con knight using -65 AC it does about 20 damage consistently. Razorelf enchanted up, and then hit me for about 200 HP on 10 hits, taking about 20 off each time. The key here is, with the +5 to hit he didn't miss me at all!

Ancient bowgun = Supream bow IMO

Let us not forget that with a +9 ES you get a extra -11ac.
AND it accually lets elfs hit bosses :) its like a hunter bow but with +1 more to damage and the extra ac from 1 hander

I prefer the sayha bow but its a difficult decision.

More ac or more dmg?

Both bows have to hit bonuses.

Hi all,

Just a few quick comments. I chose to go with the Bowgun because I am a CON elf. As a CON elf, the +5 to hit is extremely helpful. Had I been DEX then I would have probably gone with the Sayha, although, the damage from the Sayha seems a bit inconsistent. In addition, as a CON elf, I do not get the same DEX ac bonus. Having an extra 10 ac w/ a shield is quite nice. To buy an extra 10 ac at this point would have been FAR more adena.

Yes, there are other Bowguns out there. I am not sure if they have been overenchanted yet or not, but they do exist. I have personally seen one other and know of a third on Dep.

Lastly, I want to thank Knightryduz for selling the sealed Bowgun to me. I am sure that he could have made more adena had he continued to global. As a former pledge brother of his in RA, its nice to see that honor is still alive on Dep. Thanks also to Newwave for selling me the "lucky" B-Dai.

Ask Skada or Ofelf whether Sayha Bow better or Bowgun better.
From what Skada says Bowgun is better in pvp, and sayha bow is more in dmg.

I know of three unsealed bowguns on DEP and two are +7. All three owners are L49 con elves. Excellent bow and well worth the money.

beautiful weapon dont even compare damn hunters bow to bowgun thats just ignorant. sayhas bow i think doesnt have a chance people say it does cuz it is hard to make. i dont think sayhas bow has S*** on +5hit, 20 constant damage and 1handed... also new bow skin looks beautiful ^^

1. I think I got the first bowgun on ken server.
2. OfElf's bowgun is mine, I will sell to him later.
3. As my test, con elf use +8yumi is better than +7bowgun (hunting at FV).
4. I payed 5M(bow) & 9M(unseal scroll) & 5NDAI & 1BDAI to made a +7bowgun.

well they seem to be updating elfs pretty good and knights are already the best
princes will prroboly never be strong as they have a few purposes and mages...wut do they get?just about nothing, their spells are weak, sunburt does maybe 50dmg to my knight, cancel and para are just spells to hlp u get away, the question is, will mages ever be able to kill some1? i have never ever met a strong mage, i wonder wut neo's like though...52 mage MIGHT hurt

i'm on ken, and i traded my +7 sayha for a +7 ancient bowgun, +5 shield. of eva, belt of body, and ancient leather armor. What i think is that sayha is way better for hunting because it kills a lot faster than ancient bowgun, but for dueling and boss hunting, ancient bowgun is better. also, ancient bowgun + shield of eva is a nice combo ^^;;

I see one big disadvantage
the ancient bowgun can only be used for lvl 45+ elves
and sayha has no lvl limit

I wouldn't mind making a newbie elf and bashing ppl with a sayha bow hehe

hmm kzsm come hit me with ur newb elf that isnt full law...i wouldnt mind gettin a free sahyas...;-) and stupidity ur name speaks for itself...i dont know of 1 elf that actually hunts in bapho morph...maybe don did but he was con and thats one of 4 on dep, bapho sucks its only fast and u can kill more with bow actually since u have range, lots less expensive on pots and stuff since u kill mostly everything b4 it gets to you and if ur water then well u spend nothin

my char on dep ADVANCED, bought DREAMWORK's +8btsu very early.
That was the first +8btsu on dep, and I bought it for 35 million.
20m is nothing for a bowgun. Yeah maybe knightryduz is nice =P

wizsnake..try dueling with it, u'll notice a bigggg difference ^^ with a +7 sayha bow, i lost to my friend using +8 yumi by 13 hp, but after i trade sayha for bowgun, i dueled friend again and won with 244 hp..i consider that a huge huge diff ^^;; i think its worth it...

I think bowgun is best for dueling, yumi probably does more damage on mops than bowgun. all in all, I think this is a con elves' dream, and dex elves should stick with yumi

it's like a cross bow, the arrow is placed in a slot that is already cocked back, waiting for release, the trigger is on the bottom of the gun, where it's held with one hand.

u seem 2 b missin da point... it didnt miss once... he shot @ a lev 49 CON knight with -65 AC (which is pretty good in my boox) and didnt miss once... i dont kno many ppl who can hit a lev 49 con knight wit -65 AC every time without miss... u can hit it most of da time but all da time is just nutz...

i want them 2 do a 100 shot test on dat same knight and c how often he hits... i bet da number will b impressive... dis bow itself mite just bring elvez up da lineage food chain enuf so they mite jus stand a chance against knights...

and now since elves can use a shield they actually have da best possable AC of all char'z... with a i think -43ac wit max zel'z and now wit shield another 8 on dat and im not tawkin bout over zel'd item'z... dat'z a -51AC wit normal zel'd item'z wit a great bow and nice hitting power

bigpeel -51 elf ac is like -40 knight ac...i just guessin im not exact but they got soft ac so its not as good as knight full ac i bet
