NCsoft Announces Publishing Deal with NetDevil

NCsoft has inked a deal with Colorado-based NetDevil (makers of Jumpgate) to publish a new massively multiplayer online combat car game for the PC called Wreckage. Currently in development at NetDevil, Wreckage is set in the post apocalyptic future of Earth, where the only good car is a heavily armed one. Players will be able to arm and upgrade their vehicles and partake in large scale auto wars. Wreckage is scheduled for a 2004-2005 launch date.

This sounds so cool - sounds a lot like AutoDuel which Lord British and Origin were involved with many many many years ago (1985). That game was sooo cool.

dude, i so remember the original Auto Duel on my apple II+. i remember taking bus rides to get to atlantic city to gamble. that was such a cool game.

and I've been playing computers since I was three. I had a reading and numbers game. I HATED the subtraction round, or the round where I had to spell "yellow". I never won those rounds. Mommy...

twisted metal 2 best car fighting game!? Bahahahahahahah! twisted metal BLACK or the first twisted metal... all the ones in between were BLEH!

well... 2 wasnt all that bad... at least it was still designed by Single Trac... but the titles that were made by 989 studios blew horse nuts.

anyway... were u expecting a different reply? is this meaningless? i mean, since the subject wasnt really lineage, i don't have to make a lineage-related reply do i? yammie rofl its all too true.

oh and actually, before psx or any of that crap, the uber car game was a game called QUARANTINE. imagine: you are an escape convict doing mob jobs as a taxi cab driver. (btw if u read to this point, stuff your lame "its already been done" comments if you don't know about this game. it was made for pc in like 1996 by chronos software, an australian company i do so believe). anywho, to make a long story short, you picked up passangers, and sometimes if they were commons u had to race them across town to their destinations. sometimes u picked up a client for some type of mob job. you car consited of a gat gun on the roof, a flame thrower out one of the sides, a charge-up plasma thingy, an uzi that you could hold out the window, and some form of chainsaw on the front bumper, as well as some bomb stuffs. basically, you blew alot of shi~ up, you could run over peds and watch blood fly everywhere, and if that damn car is in your way, blow it the hell up! and the MOST super uber thing about the game <G> was the CD that you used to install it, was also a soundtrack that was a bunch of AU rock bands, even if the songs werent that great, it was still cool.

NCSoft has been busy lately. They've got Lineage, and Lineage 2 in the works. Lineage Forever, City of Heroes, Trade Wars, (Or whatever it was called) and now this. Has NCSoft even completed any game yet? I wish they would settle down and focus on getting the Lineage Titles finished. I fell like when they do things like adding more Deathmatches, and Forgotten Island, that they're straying from what they should be doing, and that is finishing the basic game, getting all the items/spells into the game, and balancing the Classes more. Not to mention that those new character animations have all but disappeared. The only thing that has given me hope recently was the new texture of the Talking Island. Let's go NC!

Yammie, when are you going to fix the Zelgos in Baboage? And why is it called baboage? There's nothing babo about it. I wish people would stop using that word.

NCSoft themselfs are only making 3 games. Lineage 1, Lineage 2, Taba Rosa. Lineage has 3 sperate teams. 2 in korea for lin1 and lin2 and one in austion for tabarosa. And incase you havent figured it out yet. lineage forever is lineage 1 and wont be worked on til ep 12 is out.

For the other games. They arnt working on those. They have the publishing rights to them that is all. They are not making them.

actually i KNOW this game will suck because i really doubt there will be knights in this game since its not a midevil setting, and we all know who NC loves...
