Bebi hits 50

BeBi is the first level 50 elf to appear on Lineage Compendium. She is the first US elf, first elf on Ken, all sorts of firsts here.

She hit level 50 on the 24th of July and hunts 4-12 hours in Dragon Valley. She has been playing Lineage back when Talking Island was the only place that existed and Lineage was free and there were about 6000 users at the same time.

BeBi is a Fire Elf, CON 18 with a +8 rapier and -63 AC. BeBi also said that she spent 10 months at level 49. You must be wondering why she plays 12 hours and took 10 months -- well 1 lag death = 1 month of work, she says, and she also takes breaks to try out other mmorpgs. (Lineage is still the best, she says).

but neways, congrats...
i bet she feel that she wasted her life just to lv her char up to lv 50
maybe a little be happy bcuz of a new morph AND new spells
...but if i have all those time.. i prefere putting those time hanging with my friend or working to make money to buy a new computer to get ready for LINEAGE 2 beta.
i bet u need like ghz computers and Geforce4 ti / Radeons 8500+ to play lineage 2 :(
i have trouble playing warcraft 3 with my geforce2 T_T (it's fine in beginning, but eventually it lags)
blah.. i talked too much!
Once again i would like to congrats BEbi on her lv 50 elf, it's 'bout time to see a lv 50 elf...never thought it would be a girl though Q.Q

What a mean post Dust. I dont consider time on Lineage 'wasted', its just a way to entertain myself. If she has not left her responsabilities in RL aside for the game, I dont mind she spends so much time in the game - its her decision after all. U jealous or what? I wish I could take my int/wis mage to 50, but for now 48 is all I am going to do. After that... I dont know if I will quit game, make another char or wait for lin 2.

When there was only ti. There wasn't more than 200 people online as Bigpope said. When lineage went commercial in korea, only bout 2k people on 1 server was on. Yes I played back then o.o......

no matter WHAT your situation is, NO ONE should have 12 hours on ANY day to play a computer game... its so unhealthy. I stand by my opinion that if you play THAT much its not much of an accomplishment to get a high lvl because you dont play in healthy amounts... and anyone who could get actually jealous over a game has a problem.

If someone wants to play 4-12 hours a day, I say let them, it really isn't any of your business. You can say what ever you want to make their accomplishment seem a lot less significant than it really is, but no matter what you say, they are lvl 50 and you are not.
Did you ever think that maybe Bebi was too young to work, or perhaps her job gives her the summer off? If she played a 12 hour day that still gives her 12 hours left. 8 to slepp and a possable 4 left to socialize, watch TV or exercise.
Anyways congrats Bebi, way to go!!!!!

There were 6000+ users on durring the free beta. The numbers went way down when people had to pay for it (even I quit initially ^_^).

i played Ragnarok Online in Alpha~Beta(then i quit cuz it's sooo boring cuz i thought alpha was alot more fun then beta lol)
no seige, no dai, no zel but the graphics are pretty nice and i like the music

Ok. I want to end this discusion about how many people where on the server in beta. Frist of all i will quote ncsoft to when beta ended "Lineage launched commercial services in September 1998 after a two year development and 10-month public beta service period." September 1998. Now i will quote the most popular english fansite at the time, IKs. This was posted Speterber 5th. "Less people - less lag. Now only about 150 users are on the server at a time, insted of about 250-300 users just before commercial service started." As you can see it clearly states that 200-300 people at one time during beta. Lineaged went comercial just shortly after ML got added to the game.
Befor lineage went comercial 250-300 users. 1 month after it went comercial 700 users. users double when they have to pay! Haha. :) Now i am not saying that bebi, cowboy and PhoenixFire Lied. I jsut saying maybe they dont remember it very well. Well maybe PheonixFire, Haha.

I remember there being like 700-800 user peaks before Lineage went commercial but it was never really a steady number.. and a month after it went commercial the numbers dropped to like 400-500 users at any given time o.o thats just what I remember.. could be wrong

I remember perfectly that before lineage had to be payed to play, when was free, there was about 800-1200 users at the same time. Just after lineage had to be payed, the number of users drop down to about 400-600. This is for sure.
Im speaking of Feb-Mar 2001 (1,5 years ago), when we only had TI, Elven Forest, Gludin, Kent, Orc Town, Windowood and Dragon Valley.

about the rotc thing, i forgot to mention that the elven lv 50+ rotc feature does work,but it doesnt tele directly to the bookmarked region. Instead, it teles u about 1-2 screens away from the desired bookmark

Lineage.... started out with about 300 ppl in .77
... then to around 1300 when DV was added
... then when giran was added i think it drop down to 500...

thats what i remember

L, if you remember their was super lag with 300 people on beta server so if their was 6000 people i bet we would have all had 3 minute lag
.77 server wasnt the frist server though. That was the 3 us server i beleive.

when i started it was jan 2000. on the 77 server.
there was TI, gludin, kent, and OT.
and ZzMaVeRiCKzZ and Troica were PKing newbies on ti with their cois -.-
i remember about 50-70 ppl, then it slowly went up to 100 and i was amazed -.-
maybe i played during a "slum" but i dunno.
one time after server reset i came on and was only one on the server for about 5 mins..

I am close to being lvl 50 but I'm vacationing and cant lvl I only need about 7 more % and im con but when i get back i can choose my magic and it wont be fire :) ill be picking wind so i can make my con elf into a dex elf when he gets up there
