10/21 - Korean Test server observations

Lineage Playforum (http://community.playforum.net:8080/bbs/prog/column?action=read&iid=10051004&kid=2673) reported some new findings on the Korean Test server:

Use of Maple Wand on others will turn you pink.
Death Knight morph has been lowered to 45+, presumably to encourage people to explore Forgotten Island.

Let's review why Forgotten Island is harder - so far:

You can't teleport away.
Potions cost much more than normal.
Adena doesn't drop.
Monsters are much faster and stronger than normal and almost 70% higher in level.
Dark Elves are there.
You cannot fire arrows over cliffs.
The exit is not always available, if you can get to it.

It currently takes a level 46 hasted/wafered Elf with +9 crossbow, -5x AC about 500 oranges and 25 minutes (the duration of 5 wafers) to kill the Forgotten Island Drake. Said the PF reporter "Is it supposed to be like Valakas or something?"

(The DK 45+ thing is just a temporary "Please Help Us Test Forgotten Island" thing. Its not coming here)

Well when you think about it the way they have it set up is *kinda* fair, I mean pretty much the best weapons in the game drop there, it should be extremely hard to hunt there.

On the other hand, if it becomes too hard to earn money there, no one will go there simply because alls they do is waste cash on pots.

I don't like the idea of 45 for DK [or de, if they change it].
It would kind of ruin the motive for leveling up before entering FI.
Just because FI has a restriction to level 45+ players, doesn't insist level 45's should strut in.
I'm not going to enter Fi until im lvl 52 with a nice size hunting party.
If the lvls of monsters are increased by about 70%, then drake would be like the same lvl as a dragon...

and i agree with #3, fightin a FI drake by yourself might be something like fighting a demon by urself, what if its health points just regain so fast u hardly hurt him because of that - if you have a group of ppl it may fall much quicker....I mean...y would you go hunting the hardest place in the game alone?

I think if they make DK & DE 48+ it would make more sense. As a bow elf, it doesn't help me if DK is a lvl 45+.

Was that added before all these comments about the 45+ dk or just that these people can't read?
I guess people can't read since the last few posts are recent and korean test server actually TEST new material. It is pretty much allowing them to test FI's difficulty for people.

As for the question "When are we getting it?". We'll get it within 2 weeks max when it is published on korean servers.

we haven't even seen files of it -.-; it'll be another 4 weeks till FI, then prob the DK thing over cuz koreans finished testing and us just use results of test

Honestly, do u think lvl 45 restriction for Dk will ever hit live servers?

Test is test. Whatever was/is on test will not necessarily come to live servers, and possibly will not come to US test servers.

The only reason why they have lvl 45 on korean test, as stated in this best, is to encourage more people to hunt on forgetten island.

I dont see the reason why people are complaining again and stating "I'm gonna quit" cause of this korean test server update.

Who knows, it will most likely not make it to live servers.

First of all, of course DK morph down to level 45 won't come to live servers. It was one of the major reasons to get to level 52. But if I know NC as well as I do, they wouldn't want to piss their players off (all lies). But anyways, truthfully, if we all know NC as well as we do, if they decided to impliment DK morph at level 45 in USA servers, it would obviously be for KNIGHTS only, as well as free tsusrugis for every KNIGHT, and the ability to get level 10 spells once they reached level 50 =(

if it went on live in korean servers the reason for this is probably that not enough players venture into the forgotten island...BOTH in korean test and korean live and nc cant make proper adjustments since there's not enough participation and testing for bugs, strengths, and so on in there that they have to put in to live servers cause of the whinings and then lower the dk morph limit hoping that more players will go and do some hunting there (as well as testing) to help nc test for bugs and other stuff

and btw...how did the guy hold 500 oranges?...str spell which last for like 5min... i sa they make str spell last longer...then str ammy...+1str...then pgs..+2str...then ogre belt...last test...i was 17/17 kngiht str ammy ogre belt, pgs, and str spell i could only hold at the MOST...300 oranges...then went str spell went out...overweight -.- and he might have went to buy pots, but...when he came back...how wuld he know which one he was hitting?...maybe he was hitting diff ones for 25min o.o

This is totally proposterious and the most stupid thing i have ever heard of! Give me a break of this crp. First of all, READ THE DAMN UPDATE its not coming to us servers so dont cry, wine, beg or bribe for dk at lvl 45..... 2nd of all, being an elf, with everything they have labled above to kill a FI Drake, its totally BS. HOW in SAMS hell can an elf carry 500 oranges? Orge belt wont do that (i have orge belt as well) soooooo, let me guess he just runs back and forth to the damn drake after he somehow doesnt die, and is able to fight all the freakin other monsters on his way to buy pots? (on the other thought that they made another program just to test this were the elf and the drake are premade in a state were basically the elf can continuously use pots and arrows till he has infact slayed the drake and then they just count up all the pot use x.x) which is totally unexceptable and bs. Sry if the use of some words in my post, can u feel me on this crp?

Why do you think people hunt Forgotten Island on Korean test at ALL? It's because they use TEAM WORK.

hehe players of lineage should get thier pledges together now and make up some plans before the update comes. Therefore you can have the advantages of knowing what to do, rather than just talking about it. Try getting some friends together and learn to hunt as a team.

Test server is looking like another server that wipes out every couple of months with very good drops.....

From all the knowledge we gained from FI info.....seems like alot of pots, ppl, money and dying is involved as the island is a challenge we all been waiting for......

Maybe we should suggest ppl in NC North America to convince NC Korea to give us the stuff to test on our own test servers....
though I doubt that will ever happen in this life time....

I can't resist to add something. :)

I would make DK morph between 45 and 52. 48 seems quite reasonable to me.
I think Lineage would actually be more fun with more DKs around. This silly 52
leveling would have an end - more high level ppl would participate in wars,
seiges and big mop hunts. Face it, now these really high level players do MOSTLY
- no exception here, not even HERC - farming mops. Lineage is far more that
that.

lol i agree with #68. dk 45+ on korean test isn't somethin to get all worked up about. only temporary for testing FI, and it all gets wiped anyway, and we most likely won't get it. so whats the big deal with everyone?

#76 What r u talking about? Ive seen DK's in plenty of sieges, and its the DK morph that makes the scary in the sieges. If u lowered it to 45 a lvl 52 knight would become just the same to me as any other knight with a good weapon.

and...cmon...with the soft ac elves have to run as it is from most knight fights, given them the dk morph is just suppin the knights up again.

so be happy it isnt coming to our servers, unless u just want the knights powered up again

I would propose another thing too: Make the DK available for different
classes at different levels. (i.E. Prince: 47, Mage 48, Elf 49, Knigth 50)
This due the fact that different classes are different to level up.

If you are worried about elves - what about princes and mages o.O

Another proposal: How about a mage class morph; and a prince class morph?
