Player Stories: Eva's Bounty

Lineage Player Story: Rewards and Trials in the Search for Eva’s Bounty

Hear ye, hear ye! We are calling forth all citizens of Aden to share their stories of adventure and travel throughout the land! Players may submit a story on the topic above, based upon their in-game adventures.

Submissions for the stories should be sent via our Support tool. Visit our Support tool at here and click on “Ask a Question.” Enter your story in the text box (or attach the text file) and be sure to select “Screenshots and Player Stories” in the “Department” window.

Please be sure to include your real name, a character name and server to which the story may be credited. All submissions become the property of NCsoft and may be used for advertising or promotional purposes.

NOTE: Please include a screenshot to go along with the story. The screenshot should relate to the story in some manner, or can be a picture of your main Lineage character.

hmmm... 3rd post....... owell. OK, Drops were Ridiculous 1st of all, for instance DKH drop but worth nothing since da whole DK set is not even in da game. Second of all, all the stuff people already hav put alot of effort n time 2 get it n now NewBs r juz getting it in juz a day.......... Also feres too many MOP theives n yes "u kno who u r" This event kind sux. All this stuff bout BP loyalty n honor all went down da drain da day dis event started. "Good thing I stopped hunting in Heines earlier.

I guess NC has no material to post on their site and asking fans to help them.....
Here's my experience:
Walking into a packed heine dungeon with people stealing all my mops and me cancelling the knights who steal my mops underwater. I absolutely gotten squat. Great economy balancing when flooding the server with a ton of rings and b/c-scrolls.

ya that event sucked, since i played it on test and realized how insane everything is...it ruined test in a way but gives newbs the chance to own a tsu b4 next wipe...

but on dep i was like, "dam ima get the hook up" well i got a maple wand like the 2nd thing a killed, so im like sweeet (not that i didnt know sharks drop them n e way =p) so i decided to play the event like 24/7...i hunted solidly, like 3pm-12am friday, 4pm-4am saturday, and 10am-10pm sunday (ya i know thats crazy, i have an eye twitch now o.O)...u know wut i got? nothing. absoultely nothing, and the maple wand went into siege (btw us elvenkings took ww castle for a bit, we ended those penguins so fast) i turned a buncha dk knight into cows...wolfs...they venz'd tho >.< ) and i was so pissed, props to my bro frozenyak tho, felt sorry for me so he promised his next drop to me...an hour later he got an earth ring^^ but still i hunted so long...when a lvl 20 knight could go down, kill a turtle and get a btsu =/ and it DID happen...a knights event if u ask me~

I agree completely w/ Spyder. On test I am a knight and I came up huge. On Dep my lvl 46 mage couldnt get anything underwater. Not even with +7 sls was I strong enought to get drops when mops were mobbed. It would be like having the even again but with only Sea Dancers dropping special items.

Here how it is wit me....

I had to go to school on the first day that event started......damn that was when all the good drops was dropping.........when i came home...i launched into lineage and started playing knight....char i rarely play because i was poor and didnt' had money to support it...(was playing mage for money u know, money cow other people refer mage char to)

I dash to hiene wit lots of reg tele and braves and hastes. Went in there killed tons of mobs. I hunted and hunted and hunted...........6 freakin hours i finally got a bdai and thats when everything started going for me. 5cdai and 1nzel was all i got from the whole damn event.

O yea, many people who already own a tsurgi got a blessed tsurgi and was selling theres.....i didn't have one....so i traded my whole ac for it. I finally got a +7tsurgi for 4.5mill worth of my damn ac....(for mage of course) Now my mage is naked, but my knight is powerful. I also had to buy my own ROW when its being drop like heck.....I had 2 water rings and when site seeing fafu. To my very disapointment.....Fafu ended me in 1 hit??????? I can't make it how he did that? He did a buble attk and started walking towards me and i died. I can't make it, did i die from his bubble attk ? or from his stare!!!!
Isn't 2 water rings 60% water mr???? If so i should at least last 3 hits from fafu.....urrgggghhh!!!!

Last thing i want to say is that I AM NOT A THIEF.....hhe...i just got carried away from the event.....well i didn't start thiefing until people started thiefing from me...See im a good guy <^.^>
Well......since the event is over....im going to repent my souls from theifing others mobs hehe.....

NC HOWS THIS STORY???? GOOD IF SO I WILL WRITE MORE HEHE ABOUT IT WIT MORE EXITCING DETAILS AND SCREEN SHOTS.

I dropped my +6ecm and got 3 cdais, and wasted about 50k in hastes/wafers/mitharrows trying to kill everything as fast as I could, and getting canceled by mages who I 'stole their mop from'.

I don't NC wants to publish my story on the site.

Well, you know, just anyone with a moral code.

Many (maybe even most) of us wouldn't knowingly steal a mop--in this event or otherwise--to get a rare item or millions of adena. You might--it's your choice. But think about it, and don't hide behind, "Everyone else was doing it," or, "But just look at the valuable items!" These aren't real arguments--in the game or outside it. You can choose between behaving well and behaving poorly.

I did OK in the event--cpm, 4xdai, 3xzel, ring, various other stuff. Without stealing.

I'm an elf and I can honestly say, I did not steal a single mop from anyone. The mops that came at me was the only mops I killed.

I died twice in this event due to a "bug". First time I died, I thought I died to lag when my escape scroll didn't work, but the second time I died 5 min later, I realized none of the scrolls in my inventory worked. I lost 24%. Is this something NC will "credit" if I report to bugs?

Well, I didnt get 1000 awesome items becasue I'm not on test, which doesnt count anyway.

In about 4 hours I got:

- About 200 kills stolen from me - since I'm an elf and at range and everyone was a total ass during this event.

- Best drop: an emerald, a normal one worth ~500a

- Really pissed off at the players in the game, I really dont see why I should play anymore, the game economy is toasted now anyway.

weekend went ok afterall, with everything considered, the event itself sucked ass for me but it brought prices down and i managed to snag 2 roe's and a coi out of it with my saved up cash...but that luck was changed when i died in dvc to a buncha succ queens =/ dont u wish tele home worked right away? i mean hell im better off pumping clears then sitting there taking hits for 2 secs while the dam succ queens eat me alive o.O

hehe ya amer i had cancel as a hotkey on my elf...got me into trouble quite a few times =p

btw strangley enough nicest person i saw the whole event was Zuluu, tho was in bapho morph getting 3x more kills then me, never theifed once, and once, almost did but apologized a good like 8 times and let me kill the mop...

btw theclanx, dont bother reporting a bug to nc, they only claim to have a support =p i found a bug where u go chao for killing peeps in the combat zone...and i found it out the hard way --; i go through all this trouble reporting it to nc and trying to get it fixed/get my elf unchao but all they could tell me was tough shiznit --; i thought they claimed to give a free month to reported bugs >.<

Amer: Guess what? I was hitting a Crust ALONE and a few people just cared and walked by me. Then some knight comes barging at my crust and starts whacking at it. Of course with the crust almost dead, i got all the drops. I quickly popped a cancel on the knight and guess what he said? "I hate mages who cancel". He deserved it anyway.........

Well, the event sucks, all drop event sucks. Can't put it together better than what others have posted up there. The bad things about having these kinds of event are:
1) Everyone on their knight running around chopping the same monster which can be killed with ease by just 1 single person.
2) Again the rich get richer because of their +8 and up tsurugi or other weapons so they get the drop even if the mop was 'stolen' from someone who was already hitting it.
3) Total labour and boring...some people skipped classes and played 24/7 just hoping to get something good.
4) Economic shatters like what FlyZ had said.

Oh..and Amer, if u hunted underwater u will know how mages/elves dun bother to cancel cus ... its just a waste of mp and funnier when the knights turn around and hunt u down..that's in Dep of course.

The idea of having more events is good but if NC can't come up with an event which can be enjoyed by everyone of every class...just forget about having one.

I also want to add something positive: I think the event was planned well by NC. How were they to know most (>70%) of the people in Heine would be morally bankrupt and try to rationalize it by saying:

Anyways, by sunday, a lot of people had calmed down, and I was getting thiefed near as much as on Friday, but I still came out with my best drop being a mailbreaker off of a ratman on 1f.

Maybe NC should have an event in 3 different zones: 1 newbie zone, 1 middbie zone, and 1 in like dv or someplace.

Anyways, thanks NC for doing something at least : )

whats worse 1 class getting all drops or 1 class getting no drops while 3 others get all drops...

19 hours a day since Friday morning my best drop is a cdai from a pk who ended in front of me...

it sure is lovely when u kill something and a knight runs up and steals it because ur an elf or mage

my apologies knights for not giving u more of my drops because I quit until gay event of gayness is over.

everyone become a mp thief because of this event, no matter how strong and how good their equipment is, they all steal... u will see deathknight morph player coming toward u whacking the mop u r hitting... let those poor people out there have some good drop... Pomme, watch ur back... i will cancel u when u r hitting phoenix, and whenever i hv the chance... beware!

I played both knight and mage this event; knight fl 4 and mage outside hunting ramia's turtles troglodytes and beholders. Only (significant) drop i got as knight underwater was cdai and cmomr. With mage i got 2 rings just hunting outside. For me the event was well balanced, of course you hope for that one drop like a tsu, pg or even a cpm....
Maybe NC should make all event-mops drop all the same items but not with the same probability? In that way hunting elsewhere than fl 4 might be worthwile.

My lvl 45 Mage did pretty well (Old Body Belt, RoW, RoE, Bdai and other goodies).

The key to this event for me was investing in random tele scrolls. I bought 100 random teles for every run (wanted to conserve mana). The only way to get a mop to yourself was to be the only one around while you did damage to it. Using SOF was also key.

Well! Event was very exciting. But I have to say it was not even close to being fair. Elves were to a great disadvantage along with Mages. I have to say only one Knight actually walked by without an attempt to pilpher my drop. With all of this in mind I have to say CANCEL is a wonderful thing!.. Though I would not complain if NC decided to do an event of its liking in the near future.

you elves don't have to do whatever the knight, princes, mages says. If you do, in this case i assume RG did, you are just contridicting your own arguement.
