HP Gambling Simulator

The weekend we posted about the HP Gamblers, I went onto Ken server and levelled up and down over 600 times with different CON values for knights to try to get an idea of what to expect when levelling up and down.

Many people believe that the amount of HP you get is a totally random number. Specifically (for a STR knight), you have the same chance of getting a 6 as you have a 9 or a 10.

Based on our data (and this applies only to knights as far as we know), each CON has an "average" with is equal to CON-6, but never less than 9. For example, a CON 18 knight has an average level up of 12, while a CON 14 knight has the minimum average of 9.

This is outlined in the CON section of the Attributes guide, but the further you get from the average, the less likely the probability of getting that HP up/down. For example. On a CON 14 knight, where the average is 9, the probability of getting a 12 or a 6 is 2%, while the probability of a 11 or a 7 is around 20%.

With this information Sergey K. was nice enough to write a flash simulation of HP gambling for everyone, just click on the image and you can be an HP gambler, except without the tedium of an unhasted level 5 newbie :)

Be careful with "light speed" mode. It takes 100% of your CPU.

pretty nifty. Seems 18 con works out in your favor almost every time. Well.... according to this anyways. Plus, who wants to spend the time lvl back and forth about 2000+ times?

^^ The last thing im doing in Lineage is testing the HP gamble.
I have info on this, if you go to character select screen, you see the character having 0 hp... When you log in, its 100..

My character is lvl 5 with 98 hp

I got with con 18 and 2257 tries to 165hp at level 5. Not too bad, but I wouldn't waste my time on that lol :D

i got 844 max hp, 234 max mp, and the top total was 743 hp and 159 mp 902 total. it took about 55000 tries

amer.. what are you doing? post the link to .html file, with swf it takes size of your browser and you can see what i used for testing.. the text boxes at the top o.o cant see that if you link to html

I think he means he was banned from his first account(for undisclosed reasons), and then signed up with another account...which circumvents them banning him in the first place, so thats why they banned him.

they banned my credit card....leaving me unable to login....reason was i got hacked....apparently that broke the toa of keeping my login secret.....so apparently if you get hacked DO NOt tell Nc......but i am gonna get a new credit card and try again.....hopefully they dident ban my ip then i have to change service providers....

my knight on dep has 87hp currently at lvl 6, will delvl him, but he had at one point 127hp, shoulda kept him there. I have it on an excel sheet, but my char is starting to go into the downward slump, getting more loss than gain. But then its only round its 80th try. 14 con too.

im confused now...my Tidus on dep was really messed...after hearing about the HP gambeling i delved and relved about 450 times...at lvl 6 i had 357 hp...i was so excited....so i tried to get the hp higher and at the same time increase mp..bout didnt turn out that good...:P now my char jus sux so i restarted^^

oh btw..after 82000 tries i'm at 730hp/52mp right now with 18 con knight lol. yes i've hit the downward slump, i had 1018 hp at about 70000th try.

geezus amer you shoulda never told them about this! now there will be lvl 40 knight running around with 10000 hp! when there was a prince morph bug you wouldent tell us how to exploit it....but this bug wich really throws the game of balance.....that you show us how to exploit....lol....i find the whole thing kinda funny

if something is around that gives players such an advantage , eventhough they have to spend ages for it dont u cal that a bug ???

hmm....even w/ super high hp, you might lose to a dragon cause you can't pump fast enough... (assuming a "reasonable" 1k hp instead of 10k hp...=P), unless you had several mages heal you as well....

1.5 millon tries with a str knight and I got 2,798 hp and 610mp.
