New Morphs

[update]: Looks like NC didn't mean to let us use those morphs.

These morphs were not intended to be implemented into the game at this time. 
We have corrected this issue and players should no longer be able to morph into
these creatures. Take care.

Fun while it lasted. ^^

A recent Korean event created six new morphs and it appears someone forgot to take out the morphs for the US servers. Well, new morph excitement has swept both servers (how did people figure this out?) and I've been getting lots and lots of emails of people taking screenshots of themselves and friends in this morph, with instructions.

The new morphs are Yeti, Giant, Minotaur, Succubus, Black Knight and Death. To use them, you need to type in /morphwin to enter the text entry version of polymorph. Then you use a Scroll of Polymorph and at the prompt, type in one of: "yeti morph", "giant a morph", "minotaur i morph", "succubus morph", "black knight search" or "death morph".

The morphs are just for entertainment really -- they are no better than spartoi. Black Knight morph walks extremely fast (walks like a knight on braves) but hits very very slow. Death hits extremely slow, but has that cool floating movement. Succubus and Minotaur are nice, but I still would rather hunt with spartoi.

One curiosity is that Black Knight hits with range 2. No other morph can do this, not skeleton pike, not Neruga orc. I wonder if they can look at whatever Black Morph is configured and do the same thing to skeleton pike and Neruga so we finally can have the range bug fixed on the morphs.

This doesn't appear to be a bug, but we haven't heard any comment from NC.

Succ hits fast and magics fast, I prefer it over spartoi since frames are smoother and it's SEXY o.o...

As an elf I prefer succubus morph because I forget I am playing a game and I just get to stare at that nice succulant behind and those small firm melons and oh god the way I walk ... I mean the fast magic attack...yeah thats it...SERIOUSLY GUYS I HAVE A GIRLFRIEND! =)

Black Knight has awesome run speed, runs like a bapho or beleth with full ac ^^, but very very slow attack speed.. which is kinda weird since BKs attack quite fast, they attack faster then a haste+brave knight in bk morph

Gogeta, Minotaur runs a bit faster then normal and he attack a little faster, succubus hit faster then minotaur but like same walk speed as normal.

Those new morphs are great. Succubus and minotaur are best. Succubus walks very slow underwater but on dry land moves fast. Attacks fast too. Minotaur moves attacks and casts fast. They are both very good. NC plz dont take them away....

SO FAR.. SUCCUBUS and MINOTAUR r the BEST and FASTEST morphs out there... death is good for looks, yeti too, bk good for that dk rush, succubus and minotaur seem to be foor at swing speed... gotta love the succubus tho, i gotta find out where she buys those g-strings (gotta get me one for my girlfriend ;])

I don't think the fact that Neruga Orc and Skeleton Soldier don't have range is a bug. I'm pretty sure NC intends it to be that way. And if we ever do officially get these six new morphs, you can expect NC to take the 2 range away from the Black Knight.

Oh, and congrats for the high Deathmatch score KnightRyDuZ. You're second only to Phoenix on the Test Server. You'll probably pass him soon too. Only 3000~4000 points away.

smckilla, Succubus morph moves just as fast on land as under water, just that she has a frame rate like Werewolf, laggs on some computers when underwater so it makes her look slow.

WvW, nah not really.. U tried to end me a few times when i was chao in FV ^^

I read between the lines and wrote what they really meant:

These morphs were not intended to be implemented into the game at this time or ever. We have corrected this issue but can't correct other bugs that have been complained about for years, and players should never be able to have fun and morph into these creatures. Take care we have your money.

Everyone quit so NC listens they take all fun out of the game!

it wasn't a glitch. back when we all typed for morphs you could be tons of diff ones. i member basi morph and gsa ^_^. it wasn't just prince that you could morph into, elf,mage and knight was also available ;) they just got rid of it because it confused ppl. if u saw a prince with summoned mops you should have figured it out. unlike the retards "OMG!! PRINCE WITH BUGBEARS!?!?!" i laughed so hard...
