Well too bad I'm just starting college next year. I think that bachelor's degree is bull, the position requires nothing of the sort. You're merely a mediator between the players and the NC team, how does that require a college degree? Really sucks figuring I live a relatively short distance from Glendale and have met every requirement other than that.

Yes, it does state OR 3-5 years in marketing. However, do you also realize most marketing positions also require a degree? The OR really doesn't help you out -_-. Besides, if I were to have 3-5 years in marketing experience, that would mean I started when I was 13-15 (good luck T_T).

A Bachelor’s Degree or 3-5 years experience in customer relations or marketing fields is required because it implies that you know how to lie, and when to lie (for the good of the company) They dont want some a hardcore lineage fanatic because they might question those little white lies that the community cordinator is expected to deliver.

morticae notice where it says "Bachelor’s Degree or 3-5 years experience in customer relations or marketing fields"

hehe do you have one? and still are in school?

cause i would think if your in school you don't have one unless your going for your masters.

or maybe you have experience in the field~ nm.

#13... They don't care about hiring the best people, they just want to make it difficult.

Proof: They hired those silly ol' monitors on Lineage I servers.
Far from best, AND making it difficult!

being 13, i doubt you even met any of those requirements, seeing that you can't have the experience necessary for strong english, nor pc software development, so don't get over your head kid and stay with just the game.

in lineage 1 they obviously had people with high school education or less. maybe lin two they are trying to get people with educations this time, if you want the job go to school for it someone has education in that field why not hire someone with it as opposed to someone who says theyve sat around and played a lot of comp games all day and thats why your qualified.

"being 13, i doubt you even met any of those requirements, seeing that you can't have the experience necessary for strong english, nor pc software development, so don't get over your head kid and stay with just the game. "

Mankinyau, you fail to notice that some kids are far smarter than they are given credit. It is possible for someone to have proficiency with the english language at a young age. It is also very possible for somebody to have experience in PC software development. The age of programmers, computer engineers, and overall 'tech-jobs' is getting younger. True, the average 13 year old doesn't have those skills. However, there are exceptions.

By the way, requiring a bachelor's degree doesn't mean you are getting the best. A degree doesn't automatically mean you are better than the people without them. Many people that have degrees may do poorly in high-end jobs, and in the US, it is a fact that most people with a degree don't even use it in their job.

I just think requiring a degree for a job this minor is an extremely large requirement. They don't ensure that they get the best person, they merely get a person that has a certification that they SHOULD know the things the job requires.

Now I will stop ranting. I just hate when people evaluate others based on age. You would be surprised how smart kids can be in today's world.

Now that is the person they are dreaming about to get, just like every other company. Don't be afraid to apply for the job, I doubt that they will get the person that they described, but the closer you are to meet the requirements the bigger chance.

I didn't say that they are going to hire somebody that is 13. I was just pointing out that it is possible for somebody to meet all those requirements at a young age (except for the degree). Of course they won't hire a 13 year old, however, a person that is 18 or 19 could easily do that job.

I am betting that if you can prove yourself to be extremely good for the job, you would be able to get in without the degree though. If you do speak very good english, enough Korean to communicate, know the process of software development, and have above-average web design skills, go for it. It wouldn't be the first time a computer-oriented company has changed requirements to get someone that fits the position better than someone else.
