6/26 - Live Korean servers - Episode 11 [1/3]
On 6/26, Episode 11 was published to the Live Korean servers. This included a new land, Oren, located north of Valakas Lair.
  1. Ivory Tower
    The Ivory Tower is an 8 level tower. Levels 1-3 included places to buy and sell magical items as well as receive magical and elemental training. Levels 4-8 are a dungeon patrolled by a dungeon boss, Demon.
  2. Ivory Tower Town
    The Ivory Tower town is the town constructed near the Ivory Tower. It includes standard town features such as Kennel, Inn, Item shop, Weapon shop.
  3. Ice Dungeon
    The Ice Dungeon is a 3 level dungeon which contains the boss, Ice Queen
  4. New Mage Magic
    Mages have a whole series of new magic available to them
  5. New Elven Magic
    Elves have a whole set of new magic just for them as well as an elemental alignement system, where elves choose a path of elemental alignment.
  6. New Monsters
    The following monsters have been added:
    Paperman (level 8)
    Gnoll (level 8)
    Snowman (level 13)
    Mimic (level 14)
    Silohuette (level 15)
    Death (level 21)
    Ice Golem (level 17)
    Red Ghost (level 16)
    Green Ghost (level 19)
    Undead Elmore Soldier (level 20)
    Undead Elmore Wizard (level 21)
    Undead Elmore General (level 23)
    Iceman (level 24)
    Sabre-Toothed Tiger (level 25)
    Yeti (level 28)
    Living Armor (level 29)
    Iron Golem (level 33)
    Ice Queen (level 55)
    Demon (level 60)
  7. Blank Scrolls
    Blank scrolls can be enscribed. Levels 1-3 are available for purchase at the Ivory Tower. Levels 4-5 can only be found on monsters. These scrolls can only be written by mages that are 8 times the level of the spell they are trying to write. For example, a level 3 spell requires a level 24 mage to write.
  8. Mithril Arrows now inflict 10/9 damage.
  9. Blinding spells such as Darkness and Curse: Blind now cannot be cured by drinking a red potion.
  10. A new NPC in the Elven Forest transports newbies to Hidden Valley or Singing Island.
  11. Teleporting away from the dragon's lair is not allowed.
  12. Parties receive bonus experience based on the size of the party. If a prince initiates a party, there will be an experience bonus. These bonuses only apply if you are on the same screen as the rest of the party.
  13. Characters level 10 and below will not lose experience on death.
  14. Dark Elf morph now shoots arrows significantly faster, but the level minimum has been raised from 40 to 52.
  15. Delays preventing quick, successive use of resurrection scroll has been added.

what do they mean you can not teleport at dragons layer.. so your just suppose to die there.. you can't even tele home?

also from 40-52? heh thats a bit high maybe not for korean server but yes for us server atleast.. maybe 40-45 will be much better !

I don't see any pot-delay update being passed on here...nor was there any in previous korean updates. There isn't a change in AC for non-knights either. So why do we have to have it here in the US servers?
And...it's not easy getting to 52 with a dex elf neway, since they have to hunt with a dog(s) so they can 'block' the mops as Mel said earlier and as to prevent drops being stolen by passers-by.

They lowered the price of pots by 20% to compensate for "potion delay". (I have no idea what "potion delay" they are referring to)

We don't see none of that mentioned in our nerfing frenzy. Where's the cheaper pots? I just see them as the same price as before.

And where's the AC thing on korean servers?.

Ok...that's quite old news.
But we didn't get a lowered pot price do we? lol if NCI wants to follow exactly what NC does, why don't a reduction in pot price as a 'compensation'?
And i still hold on to the AC thing, tell me when Korean servers got that update too, so i can shut up. Pot delay does'nt really affect me anyways, not like a princess can take on bosses etc.

man you guys arent ever happy are you? whine about no elf morph... then they give you one and you complain that it is too slow... so they change the speed to make it fast, and you complain that the new lvl requirement is too high... i'm sorry, but elves dont *need* a bow morph to hunt. they should be able to hit and run, if you get swarmed...ok, so now you have 8 mops chasing you that you have to run from and pick off... yippie... but oh no, it's too hard because three of them are archers of some sort, so they still hit you while you pick off the rest, well, just a little bit of info...knights get swarmed too, but then again they boo-hoo about other things, i guess nobody is happy. personally, i think everyone just complains too much, suck it up and play. if you think your class got nerfed, adapt your playstyle, or hunting area. nobody said you *have* to hunt where you use to. in fact i like most of the updates, for evrey one of the classes. knights can no longer sit there getting 5:1 by players and simply stay alive because they can pump potions so fast... elves can no longer hang around in harder places *unless they are actually good at playing an elf*. if they are not good, then who's fault is that? that's why you go someplace easier, learn, then come back. mages can no longer run around with bbs and think that an occasional ebolt and letting a swarm of bbs kill a mop is hunting, they have to get a bit more involved. so overall i think the updates are pretty good, and i'm sorry if people find the game 'hard' now, but tough. at least it gives you something to aim for. as it was there were lvl 25 elves and knights hunting fire valley beach to level. i'm sorry, but i think high level areas should be hunted by high level players. sorry for venting, but i have just gotten fed up with the constant whining by people because they have to 'take a step back' and do more work before they have the level/item/skill levels to hunt in the more dificult areas in the game. complaining because you can no longer hunt in the area that made you feel like you were strong because 'all the cool people hunt there', or whatever your reasoning behind measuring your chars worth by where you hunt was, is not going to make you any better. try leveling, saving for better items, and adapting your playstyle to be a little smarter and you might actually get good enough to go hunt in those areas again. and for those of you who still hunt in the same areas you did... maybe you cant stay as long, or whatever your reason for complaining is, but before you complain that it is too crowded, and that you never get mops because too many people are there, now they have taken steps to try and assure that there will be fewer players there, now you are unhappy because you can't stay as long. well take your pick, you dont get everything, the game is supposed to be a challange. if you dont want a challange, go play diablo 2 and hack your way to the top.

dark elf morph shoots so slow, and skel archer u cant use quite a bit of ac, and knights shoot quicker with these morphs than elfs do, so ur better off using a bow knight.
elfs need a morph, hunting fv is impossible,. ESPECIALLY when u hit and run, because everything there is aggressive to non morphed players, only a few are aggressive to polymorphed players. and knights dont have it, they get swarmed by one kind, and they have better ac/hps than other classes and do more damage so should be able to handle it. on the other hand, elfs have lower hps (maybe better ac, but take more damage) but they get stun locked very easily and cannot hit and run because there are too many things chasing them from every direction.

And for ur long post u didn't say anything about princes getting anything good outta the updates..which is good because there is NONE. Haha ironic, the prince class has been completely neglected by NC/NCAustin, and as well as players who haven't played one because they are 'too boring'. So i guess being a princess gives me the rights to whine then?

What do u mean what ac thing? There's an increase in the damage sustained by non-knights since that update along with the pot delays. I myself experience an increase in dmg sustained in the range of 101% - 130%. How do I know that? I have this perfect formula for myself and my hunting place, meaning, I carry a number of pots which will last me for this amount of time. And after the update, I simply take more damage (regardless of the increased dex/ac thing and my personal armor upgrade) So my pots no longer last the amount of time they used to.
I'm shocked to hear I'm the only one who noticed a difference.

exCUSE me... elves cant hunt fv anymore?????????????? then why are there like a billion elves swarming all over the place.. im sorry..but elves are dominating fv rite now.. even more than before.. i have an elf, and i can hunt fv QUITE easily without using much pots while using a bow in morph.. i think elves do need some sort of morph cause if elves morph they lose the speed advantage that they have without moprh... whatever.. thats why i play my mage now.. its just SO much easier.. i hardly ever use pots.. unless i hunt dvc...

Which just opens up another area for flaming...this is getting quite boring cus we eventually got back to the same place that NC loves knights more than any other classes. There's no logic whatsoever, I don't even want to argue anymore. NC did that to their server because 90% of the ppl play knights. NCI follows the same direction encouraging ppl to play knights also on the US servers, and disencourage diversity. Why not just delete all the other classes and make this a knight game?

fv is not hard at all with elf...matter of fact, i think its relatively easy...i just started leveling an elf and i have been hunting fv with my 3 puppies in a skel archer morph since lvl 15...not too shabby...all mops are red...minimum 3% per kill...dogs die a lot though from eggs and dragonflys, and an occasional flower...so thats the only downside...continous ressing...but no biggie...the benefits far outweigh the doggie deaths...and i see fv is swarmed by elves too, so i dont know what you are talking about...this is my first elf and i am having no problems what-so-ever, and i am the ultimate n00b. :)

they got pot delay along time ago. and with all thes elf changes lvl 50 elfs are coming soon. about res delay and tele from dragon lair someone killed a dragon 1 to many times. finally a mid lvl area good for my mage.

Pepper, I too noticed a MAJOR increase in pot useage while hunting with my prince. I have good AC (-43) and used 400+ pots in two hours hunting mainland cave 1f. If you ask me, I'd say it's about 150%+ damage increase. :(

Oh well, I reformed my pledge under the name NCIHatesPrinces. Maybe they will get the message if EVERY princess and prince disbands their pledge and makes a protest. Question, what is Lineage with out the Princess/Prince class? Answer, Nothing :(

Anyway, can't wait to have the new magic and stuff :)

If u gotta be lvl 52 to use Dark Elf morf now whats the piont? Is the upgrade for Dark Elf equal to Death Knight morf now in that kind of speed but with bow?
Why give elf's a morf at lvl 52 that aren't a BOSS lvl morf? Is Dark elf gonna have a Boss now?
B-T-W I love update to mith arrows. Increase mith drops again so we can start making alot of mith arrows ^.^*

On Korean update they said how AC work would be changed, and FOR PVP it would use classes... Does it mean for monsters it don't use classes there in Korea but does here in US (as our update text didn't say anything about pvp)?

At least the level-up gamblers can't take advantage of the easy mops in TI/SI and the good drops that are there while they are levelling/delevelling for months. I don't think they are totally trying to stop them, but keeping them from getting full zelled/dai'ed gear in the process.

When did we get the increased party xp? I must have missed that. One of my pledgemates mentioned it today too and I thought they had wrong info...are you sure it's not coming in ep11 instead of being live already?

First off I play Mage.

Upping requirements for Dark Elf morph is a knee-jerk quick-fix to address complaints that elves have no "ultimate morph" equivalent to knights.

Comon NC, it doesn't take much imagination to come up with something better without screwing level 40 elves, how about ADDING a Super Dark Elf (insert better name here) and give back DE morph to level 40 elves.

Smack in the head for NC! DOH!

ok what good is the res scroll thing now thats kinda stupid so now our resses wont work all the time ...so our dog dies and dissaperes for good cuz our res scrolls suck now too, hmm anyone else think this is stupid? elf morph...i dont use it really but i think 52 is unfair, and if DE morph the Dk morph for elves then whats for the mages??? oh yea the skeleton duh, yea like thats a help!!!and i still think the AC nerf, som nerf and the pot delay are dumb, is NC doing this to try and get rid of the "Old Timers" on the game? aside from that all you people that are makeing a big fuss over us "whiners" should one Take look in mirror and shut up, two try to play anuther class for a while youll understand why we whineing, and those of you that do play other classes know what i mean, oh yea AND, as far as the reallity of the Game goes, um...this is a GAME not real LIFE cuz in real life there is no RESTART so stuff that up your reallity baced CRACK!!!

oh yea summon sucks too, 5 or 6 max would be ok but 3 come on!! not to mention, has anyone reallised that the only way aside from waiting to regen MP is to hit with the SOM? so...maybe faster would be better? like knights, they hit hard with heavy weapons ok they knights i under stand we have magic thats strong (oh wait) ( not any more huh?) but still let us use wafers at least, we can use lots of elf stuff, why not wafers? let us move a lil bit faster, would be nice. since im rambleing.....this AC stuff, why? why would a peice of armor do less protection if worn on knight or mage or elf? you talk reality??/ ok a kevlar vest (bullet proof vest to you that dont know) would that work dif for a sargent on foot patrol then it would for a LT, behind a desk? will your car save you life and not mine even if we were in same car? oh hey buddie you moneys not worth enuf here cuz, well your a pencil neked GEEK, but you, the Olympic Weight lifter,...yea you, your moneys worth double the face value!!!! what kind of reality is that?

Episode 8,..9 something like that, from what ive heard and read mages are relativly new to the game still, "Ding" that means that nc has had so much more time to revise and recreate the knights then they have the mages..(oh god im sticking up for NC" either way mages got ripped!

lol at least nc has reached its goal again ,sorta, dragons will be almost unkillable again
the res timelimitis prolly is just enuf so at the moment u ready res the next party member antha /faf/val will be on ur ass
lvl 10 limit is a good idea to prevent the vets from campin stuff like less s.queen + C.ettin
oh and Blahk u really like HB ive been playin it like 3-4 months but i quit it it simply sux
community is the worst i ever seen in any RPG
no1 reason of that is u start of with pits so evyone learns stealkillin + drop thiefin straight from the start
then the lag thats gotta be the worst part of it 5+ d/c on a distance less then a minute walkin is the most common thing in it
bah u guys whine about lineage???? lol eventhough i didn't xperience the changes yet im pretty sure even with them lineage is one (to me the best) of the BEST rpg's out there

why maple ?? before update u could take 2 dogs with maple with cha 8 and up
it was ez take out 1 dog maple it now lin saw it as tamed so cha \2 took out next doggie yay 2 :)

ah well one word of advice go play helbreath and u will most likely apreciate lineage a hella lot more after that LOL:)

So why don't we hear tons of positive stories about ppl being helped out and restoring their items, etc?

NC has enough resources to track *every* hacker or cheater, but not enough to help out those honest ppl who've lost items and experience due to circumstances beyond their control?

Or are they just SAYING they have those resources so we'll all be scared and won't try to cheat?

Of course they don't want elves in DK morpth... they're supposed to use arrows Shadowtaker you moron. And if they put that Dark elf morph at 40, then all the elves wuold shoot super fast. If that happened, they might as well make dark knight morph lvl 40 too so all knights could change into dark elves you freaking idiot. DUH lol. THAT is why they had to raise the lvl for dark elf morph up, so not all the elves would get it since it's a HELL of a lot easier to get to lvl 40 with an elf than freaking FIFTY-TWO with a knight. A DUH retard. Learn some logic Shadowtaker, or go run to your mommy to teach you some.

How is the improved RoF for DE gonna help the elves? Sure yay a decent morph that no elf in the world can use what's the point. NC is making IMPROVMENTS that are just going to cause more people to leave. First the ac-vs-damage change...screwed everyone but the knights..now they're giving stuff that noone needs. They have often put things in place at athe present moment that only becomes standard later on. They don't WANT tons of fastDE's running around immediately.

Trust me there will be several 50+ elves before long.

But there should be a decent (not awesome) bow morph for the lower levels in addition to the lvl 52 DE.
