9/13 - Publish Announcement - Live US Servers

Please join us for the “Eva’s Bounty” event! Beginning this Friday, September 13th, various monsters on the North American servers will have somewhat increased drop rates. This event is scheduled to last throughout the weekend.

This will require a brief NPC server reset at 10:00 AM US Central time on September 13th on the North American servers. We will make an ingame announcement immediately prior to the end of the event, followed by another NPC server reset.

Too bad evet is over on test >< it was fun while it lasted i guess.
^^ Giran was covered with old belts everywhere and heine dungeon 4f had kats, cpms, old belts, m-bs and just just about everything but b-tsu and 50belts on the floor. My stupid friend c-daied our b-tsu back down to 6 ><.

If this is like the Heine event on Test, the event will start Friday afternoon and run until Monday afternoon. That's 72 hours of hunting the 4 levels of the Heine Dungeon. You will want lots of Bless of Eva potions (from vendors on Heine f1 in se corner or on f4 south of entrance) for the fourth floor (it's underwater). Each BoE lasts 30 minutes. Beware of the beholders on the 2nd and 3rd levels, as they attack morphs and you can still be hit and killed while frozen by them (and they drop poorly).

Bring lots of n-tels to jump around with to find mops quickly. Go light to allow for picking up all the fun items that drop (cpm, kat, 2hs, rap, mb, ecm, obom, obob, ls, pm, etc.) and think about using condensed potions. Bring lots of twigs or cure poison. Potions (and wafers, magic gems and spirit gems) dropped like mad on Test, so you could stay quite awhile and you didn't need to load up on potions. There is a limited vendor on level 4 just south of the entrance where you can resupply (BoE is cheaper here than on f1). Expect massive crowding on levels 3 and 4 and lots of competition for mops (much mop sharing with larger mops). You may not want to morph or morph but not restart so that mops will come to you rather than you going to them or tagging them. There will likely be plenty of PKs there on Dep.

Go for Ratmen, Crocodiles and Lamias on levels 2 and 3 for easier and lucrative drops. Bookmark the entrance to the Heine dungeon and print out the maps so you can get down to lower levels quickly. (You will have the route memorized soon enough, though.) Midlevels can do well in morph. Lots of good pickings on the floor of level 4 from those who don't want the heavy items. On Test just about anything could drop: SoM, SoF, all rings, most belts and amulets, even b-tsu. I earned 1.5 million adena over the weekend, while others did twice that. I wound up with 2 of each elemental ring and lots of elven items to try to overenchant (ecm, cpm, rap, mb). Expect the results on live servers to be less but still worthwhile. Have fun! I may go back to my Dep mage and do the event again!

w8 w8, if ppl on test got 3mil each, then divide that by 6(for the difference in drops) and divide it again by 2(since we got 2x ppl)and u make... 250k... ahahahhaha. it won't really be like that. it'll be some lucky ass ppl w/ b-tsu drops and other ppl who get... c-dai and that's it. prolly gonna be a huge range of like 10 mil and 10k on the money/items found

regarding lag:

before ken server, there was usually 1xxx ppl on at a time. all the time. (if i'm remembering correctly which i think i am, for this was in beta)

the servers can handle up to 20k ppl i think is wut gms said.

the fact that there will be alot of ppl on same map, u'll get some lag, but i don't think it will be catostrophic.

fyi, i'll be hunting fv ^^. u all see power $ event, i see power lvl event ^^

bilsa what ur forgetting though is just the atmosphere in 4f heine is bad enough in terms of lag and slowdown, let alone 10 ppl in the same screen while in that atmosphere.

Bilsabub, you gotta be more specific when you talk about the beta. There were times when there were 1000+ and the lag was horrible, there were times when the npc server ran slow/fast and crashed alot. Sure the server "might" hold 20k people but aden cant.
Collector, the underwater lag is all client side (for once) and there are hacks to remove it =/

This is going to be good, but for those ppl who don't have good computer or conection... they propably can't hunt underwater.
But anyway I hope all can get something good to their invetory from this event.
Atleast I go underwater :>
I think server won't lag that much when ppl hunt at Heine because there isn't many ppl at once playing.. like from 170-415 (415 is the max ppl that I have seen once playing).

I was there the first day only for the Heine Event on Test. And DAMN!! People were getting so desperate to get good items, they would "help" kill a crabman or "help" me kill a freaken Coelacanth. I cant believe how greedy some of the ppl down there were. I was killing a Turtle Dragon and This one Mage canceled me and slowed me and started healing the Aste. Im happy to say though, that the Asta was Vanquished by me, and dropped me a Staff of Mana, Amulet of Orc Warrior, and a Ring of Fire Resistance. Just goes to show, being greedy dont get u know where. ;)

Hope everyone got something worth while. ^^

Hehe like Amer said, The drops that are shown on the webpage are dropped by the monsters that are to the left of the drop. And you will probably get better drops then i got :P most people got rings and amulets and stuff. Good luck :D
