Episode XII: Aden coming soon

(This is the official announcement and includes some info about the hometown system I accidentally didn't post :)

Seoul, South Korea, December 18, 2002—NCsoft™ Corporation said that the twelfth episode of the online game Lineage, ‘Aden’, will be released on the 26th this month. The release of new episode comes after seven months, following the release of Episode XI ‘Oren’ in May 2002. With the update of Aden, Lineage’s flagship operation system, ‘siege warfare’ is completed.

The creation of Aden Castle represents a superior ruling system over the existing six Lineage castles and gives rise to Lineage’s most powerful commander. ‘Aden’ introduces for the first time the re-distribution of power and wealth by social contribution through the ‘Hometown System’, creating a cyber community more focused on democratic system than combat-style power game.

In addition, Aden offers a new system of massive siege warfare and marriage system, an improvement of alliance among blood pledges and marriage previously made through words and trust between players. The introduction of a trade system between villages will also offer players new means of economy other than hunting.

“Siege warfare system in Lineage will be completed through Aden. It is our aim to raise Lineage to the level of perfection by developing various aspects of politics, economy and culture in balance” said Jang Joo-hyung, lead designer of Lineage. Aden will be released on two test servers on 26th and updated on 40 local regular servers by the end of next month. NCsoft will continue to develop new episodes after Aden.

The news only says that Episode 12 will be placed in the Korean test servers and within a month in their Korean Live server. So who know's when it will come to the States.

Well its good that they are continually bring out more episodes for Lineage I cause I was a fraid, it was going to be death of lineage I when Lineage II comes out.

I've invested too much time into Lineage I to just up and move to Lineage II and start all over. This is the same reason I wouldn't go into servers like LoA.

We'll see how fast this update comes to US.

BTW, Merry Christmas to everyone and thanks to compendium for putting up a such a great fan site. Suprised no one's commented on their new winter background :). LET IT SNOW!

i don't remember that Korea has 40 servers so with a bit of luck,we have ep 12 end of january.
It seems awesome what NC has done for ep12,all those new stuff... WOW!!!
Less power lvling mmaybe ^^

i am guessing it will trickle down to the states by feb or march. of course, the sooner the better :-> no mention of the new dragon, or mops we will find in this new episode. i will just have to keep lv'ing and wait for what looks like a great update!

naw skroo bein 1 of da best... it IS gonna b da best no doubt about it!!!... even jus puttin in half da updatez their planing on would make it a sweet ass update... marriage system, lots of new mops, new castle, new fx (i think), alliance system, dood dis update is gonna sho up everythin weve seen so far... of course we will c those whiner'z on global goin... "GM PLZ CHANGE DIS AND DAT!!!" or "DIS UPDATE SUXXORZ!!!" becuz whiner'z r an esential part of lineage dat weve grown 2 luv... or is it hate... well 1 or da other but anywayz... but wit it bein da end of da existing lineage saga and wit 2 many imporvements 2 count dis update will go down in lineage history 4 sho

ur not gonna havta worry bout dat bcuz no matter how good lineage 2 is we gotta remember... its not a better version of a game we all kno and luv... its jus a new game all 2gether which means even tho we will c a few ppl head over and start a new life in lineage 2 there will still b alot of ppl who jus wanna stik 2 da basix... (like me^^)

The level 30 quests are currently on the Korean Live servers. They have found a serious bug with Call Clan, so they are fixing that. It should be released to the US Test Server shortly thereafter. :)

As for Episode 12, don't expect it to hit US Test Server until February 2003.

I know it is still gonna be awhile before ep 12 hits live servers

I really gotta finish the mage quest
getting ghoul tooth and ghoul nail and skeleton skull is friggin impossible!!
NC needs to loosen up on those quest drops

You have to be lvl 25 to hold a castle lvl 15 is for houses.

maybe the new trade system will be like the one i saw in another game...
in this other game there was an npc who walked around a certain map and you could leave items you wanted to sell with him and you set a price and people could also go to him and browse through the items people left to sell. When someone bought your item you got a letter with the money the person paid for the item. I liked this system because it let me leave my item for sale and then walk away and continue my hunting without having to stand around for hours shouting that i sell this or i buy that... maybe they will be using this type of trade system, who knows :)

Oh and if the item you left for sale wasnt sold in a certian ammount of time then it was returned to you and you were free to try it again
